As community heath RN, after care usually was newborns which is of course different as epithelization occurs, primary intention healing. Different MDs may have slightly different opinions, but years ago, I followed exactly what you described, well done. One needs to know what & what not to expect and when. Well explained
I had my circumcision 2 weeks ago and my doctor said i SHOULD do after care. It was surgery first, local anestetic. After they did the first wound dressing. - After 48 hours the dressing had to come off. - I was then told to wash and clean 2 x a day, and apply new wound dressing after. - The wound must be covered with Bepanthen wound recovery creme. - This make sure the wound is protected from bacteria and reduces the risk of infection. - The cream also has a cooling effect which brings down the swelling faster, and keeps the skin hydrated to reduce the amount of scar tissue that can form. - The doctor also immediatly put me on light NSAID's to prevent the risk of inflammation. ( Ibuprofen, and if inflammation occured i should have jumped up to Diclofenac ) I did all these things, and i had very very very little pain, little to no swelling and everything is healing and looking very nice. No visible scar tissue to speak of. Im happy my doctor thought of all the risks, and took the desirable outcome into consideration.

I just got this thing done and I hear and read this all the time that after 4-5 or even 2 days we'll be fine however I am in my 4 th day and I see and feel no improvement. The skin at the stitches and under the tip is very swollen and releases a yellowish discharge (sometimes thick sometimes runny sometimes transparent or mixed with blood) from the 4th day. Is this part of the healing or should I be concerned? I did ask my surgeon if it is okay to do it now since I have a flight booked 2 weeks from the date of surgery (I still have 12 days until the flight) he said yes it will be fine. I know I am not your patient but any of your thoughts would be highly appreciated. Thank you.
I have been stretching my foreskin with Phimosis Ring and lubrication to treat Phimosis. I also have a Tight Frenulum. Will this practice help elongate the Frenulum too? Or does it only impact the foreskin?
@@Unbiased_News Yes the stretching is effective. The foreskin is contracting more week by week and results are visible. My glans is partially visible now. Hopefully I’ll be able to fully pull down my fore skin below the glans soon. Still can’t say anything about the Frenulum though. I don’t even know if it’s too short for me or not. But really want to know if it can be stretched with the rings.
Sir can we apply t bact ointment on stitches after paraphimosis surgery please guide me? & can we keep the wound open coz my Dr suggests that plz guide
My circumcision done before 45 days but in Right side penis swelling is not going what can i do doctor said it's normal and swelling gone in 3-6 months but I am very Scared because some doctors is under training in Government Hospital and he doesn't What he can do ?
The best post-circumcision care is to NEVER MUTILATE YOUR PENIS in the first place. Why? Why would you remove the normal protective cover of the glans and allow it to dry out, itch for decades, and slowly lose all its sensitivity? Every study ever done that "proves" no loss of sensitivity is done on young men. What about 45, 55, 65, 75-year-old men? Slowly the glans cracks and turns into a husk. Keep your sensitive glans and be much happier for the rest of your life. You cannot change your mind.

I had mine yesterday and my dressing came off before I left hospital they told me nothing to worry about as they aren’t meant to stay on long

LOL 1st read about Phimosis complications, that is the sole reason to get circumcision
