    This was super helpful. I'm a big Anki user so I already know how helpful it is but it was nice to hear you used it too in your process. I'm grinding leetcode right now and struggling lol. Hopefully I get better.

    I was very discouraged by the last interviews I had. So your advices came at a very good time. Thank you very much also for mentioning Anki and Leetcode.

    Is learning java first a good start? just want to know if I'm on the right track

      It depends on your specific goals, so hard to give generic advice here. The first programming language that you learn is always the hardest though because you have to learn programming concepts and the programming language syntax at the same time.
      Once you get good at Java though and have your programming concepts down well, it's much easier to learn a different language because when you learn a new language, it's a matter of just learning the new syntax, but the fundamental programming concepts remain the same (mostly).
      So my point is, you can always change languages later because if you do change languages, it won't be like starting over, so it's not a big deal which programming language you start with. It's more important that you get your fundamentals down, and you can definitely do that with Java.
      I would definitely need more context on you to help you decide if Java is the best possible choice or not though.

    what if they ask questions indepth about the fake company you created? like whats your product, money flow , the team u worked with etc? feels like founding your company requires alot and people can easy tell if u are bamboozling them

    • @aficachi
      @aficachi  10 месяцев назад +1

      You're being interviewed for your software development skills, not your business acumen. If asked about your company, focus on the technical skills you applied in creating the product. if you worked alone, say so. The success of the business is irrelevant to your coding abilities. If you haven't built a product, then go back and build one before claiming experience

      Gotta get smooth with it. Interviewing is pure sales skills. Speak with pure confidence, don't use "uhms," etc. Make them believe what you're telling them. Sales 101.
