We looked briefly at change blindness in my Psychology class, and it was pretty interesting. We were shown a video of a few people passing a ball between each other and told to count the amount of passes. After the video we replayed it with no particular question in mind... suddenly everyone notices a man in a gorilla suit walking RIGHT THROUGH THE FOREGROUND that no one noticed before because we were so focused on the ball.
I get that. I guess i'm trying to say, I find it weird that people are able to lie to so many people by pretending to be someone they're not on TV program. I see consequences for my own character if I lie.
I didn't say the impostor should be scared. While its a nice gesture to the host for helping him out, it really wouldn't be the right to fool people who expect solid information from news. I'm a reporter, so I know the feeling when a guest cancels or is late. It's scary, but for the sake of my credibility, I'd never lie about who the guest really is. That could have some serious consequences for me.
Um, there are consequences. You're pretending to be an expert on a subject, and impersonating someone on national TV. If this were real, they'd be hurting the credibility of that doctor, and disseminating false information.
this has nothing to do with Change Blindness
Very true.
im doing a college assignment on changeblindness and this is way off smh
I literally said that out loud word for word when the video ended.

That said, this either has the wrong title or is the wrong clip because this certainly has nothing to do with change blindness.
