Hey Wayne! I wanted to go all out on the distortion at times but kept it restrained. I just listened to Alessandro Cortini’s new album and he’s a master of minimal/maximum
this is wonderful drone piece, very well planned and I got so much inspiration for patching the same kit all together. Time to start patching! Thank you for posting it!!
Completely depends on what you’re going for sound-wise. Both sound amazing. Strega is a 1 or 2 voice (using the LFO as a voice) with a unique noisy delay. The slower the delay, the more noise. Everything is knob per function. Elmyra 2 has four voices, each voice is a stacked oscillator capable of triads (chords). Included is a delay but more interesting is the ‘Ouch’ circuit…an incredible overdrive distortion mangler. It has a deep menu through easy button combos. I’ve memorized my favorites like octave jump and LFO sync. Jay Hosking just did a glorious Elmyra video using its onboard sequencer.
@jon_gee was looking for something to complement the JMT LD-2 for drone type stuff. I like the textures and sounds from the Strega but being a 1-2 voice synth, the elmyra seems like it has more to offer...hard choice tho
So deep and ominous.... Alessandro would love this. 🙂👍
Many thanks!!🙏🏻🙏🏻So happy Elmyra is in my life. That bass is amazing.
2:29, the fluttering of emotion. There’s a lot of depth here, JG. Pretty powerful sounds.🙏🏼🕊️💕
♥️🙏🏻✨♾️when I found the right tunings on three voices it turned into magic. I could be in the space for a long time. I knew it was a good one.
Absolutely love your Drone Pieces! Although this piece is closer to a Soundscape. Very elegant... Full of emotion. 🌠🎶🎛👁🔥🎙🤙🏽🌌🐈⬛🌛🕯
Hi Eleni! ✨🙏🏻✨⚛️🎛️ wonderful this tune has brought my old Strega friends out again. Many thanks
Beautiful washes of sound that capture the imagination 👍
These moments I love…when another feels the imagination open.

Big thx always for your kind words my friend🙏🏻🙏🏻
And yes that bass…I actually had to tame it a bit…it got so heavy. Back’d her off just a touch. Found a sweet spot.
@@jon_gee 😁

@@RJ_Eckieit’s so fantastic! 🫠🛸✨✨✨
digging the deep, dirty tones, and the mood you're creating lately with lighting............love the crunchy, explorative complexity of this one
Thanks so much man…it was a delicate mix to get right. Just the right amount of crunch

This progression is cosmic! I feel like it should have continued on and on and on. I love the warm tones of the synth.
It really could have. That’s bful man thx.
Sounds great, Jon! An amazing journey into the sounds🔥🔥🔥💥
A journey❤…as music makers it’s a great gift to know someone was drawn into a world or taken on a journey.

Good one!
Hey hey! Thanks man!
Just listened to this, such a fine track that would make a great sci fi intro
🙏🏻🙏🏻ooh that’s awesome man, Im in!
Been looking at the Elmyra 2 for a while now, such a big sounding module...lovely transients in this piece, nice distortions...great job, subbed.
Stoked!! I’m working on a new Elmyra piece now. It’s a fatty! Big thanks man.
Absolutely amazing Jon ❤
Love the sequence, it sounds deep and ethereal. Are notes quantized by Elmyra?
🙏🏻🙏🏻 Elmyra is in scale mode so the notes are quantized. Sequence by 0-CTRL♥️
If you were going to get 0-ctrl and one of these, which would you get (or get first anyway haha...)?
