It have to be a very thin leather strap to fit that kind of clasp, because the tip of the straps have to be folded. It's a stressful thing to fold a strap which not thin enough to fit that clasp

The Cartier Tank is an iconic watch that needs NO introduction. I just recv'ed my Tank XL 2 weeks ago and I have worn it every day and I never get tired of looking at the sunburst guilloche dial.
@@purpleliu7528 If you want the must with the clasp you have to buy the clasp and bands separately sadly. Cartier will do it for you the clasp is $300 and the bands are around $300 for a pair. The reason you need new bands is that only certain bands will go together with the clasp. I just had to go through this because I only wanted to get the must if it came with the clasp.
what I don't get is why Swiss made but this luxury expensive time piece is "French", shouldn't it be all "French" made clasp, leather band and all? I would feel cheated for some reason.

I bloodied my thumb nail the first time I opened mine. The clasp is very strong.
Clasp is ridiculously strong lol I thought I was forcing too much and gonna break it but it just needed that much to be opened

The clasp is included with the stainless version of the watch. The gold versions come with a solid gold pin buckle instead

Cartier is a french brand, yes. But, the maison that makes the watches is located in Switzerland.
