- Todd White preached a message this past Sunday, July 26, 2020, in which he says he has not been preaching the Gospel rightly since he was saved back in 2004. Many people are expressing excitement and joy over this. I am praying that this is real. In this video I urge caution and talk about what true repentance would look like in Todd's life if it is real. I make an appeal to Todd and stand ready to help.

I'm a very young baby Christian myself who learned the true gospel from Ray Comfort a month ago. I knew something was wrong with Todd's channel from the start. It seemed to me like it was more about promoting himself rather than Jesus. I unsubscibed from his channel after watching American Gospel as I didn't want to be deceived. Nevertheless, I think we should all continue to pray for him rather than wait for him to fall.

Please know that I'm not "waiting for him to fall" as he's already fallen. He's not a true Christian as he has the wrong Jesus; thus he's not saved. It's a big leap from him repenting that he was preaching the wrong Gospel to knowing and accepting Jesus, the REAL Jesus as savior, Lord and King of his life, and in that to know and understand how we are saved and what it means. White has done other things in the last 16 years, as Justin rightfully pointed out, that White is accountable for, but no mention of any of that from White has yet occurred. Remember Benny Hinn's so called repentance of the Prosperity Gospel; that lasted as long as he could check his bank account, then he's back at it. Useless double talk designed to fool his skeptics and blind his followers.

I was converted by watching one of Ray’s video too. I’ve been a a church goer for years but a true Christ follower for 10 months now. To God be the glory.
My son wasn’t a believer and identified Kenneth Copeland as a false prosperity preacher. Praise God he is now saved and seeking true biblical teachings!
And yet your son who is saved will still have some doctrinal difficulties I presume? yet he is saved. All Calvinists have doctrinal problems in my view, and yet I don't question their salvation. Most unbelievers don't debate whether Calvinism is/or isn't correct and to what degree, ie which of the 5 points is correct.

Pray for Todd White and Benny Hinn. They caught a glimpse of the truth and I think we need to remember how difficult it's going to be for false teachers to turn around to the true Jesus. Their unrighteous behavior has been rewarded for too long and it's probably hard to get out of that stronghold completely. But a LOT of us know who these people are and a LOT of us can pray for them.
Excellent points Laura. We do need to be much in prayer for Todd and all those who have been mislead by his teaching. It will be extremely hard for him to step aside and totally repent of all of his bad teaching as well as placing himself under the headship of a sound biblical preacher. We should all be in prayer for him, his "flock", and one another.

Aside from praying for Todd,it's none of our business. Romans 14:4, says " Who are you to judge another man's servant to his own Master he stands or falls, but God is able to make him stand" A reality check and sobering thought from God.

Oddly, I think God is also using this moment to check our hearts. Some of us are so judgemental it's nasty. I think we all should be praying for him. God said He has no desire that any of us shall perish, but have everlasting life. I mean Paul used to kill Christians, Peter betrayed Jesus multiple times before he was crucified, and the list can go on and on...Who are we to condemn those who have fallen? As Mr.Peters said, give him time, and during that time we should be praying and helping Mr.White. If he really repented, great! If not, woe to him! But in the meantime you should also make sure you're right with the Lord because the same measure you use to judge someone will also be used against you. Amen.

@@randylegall2162 You are correct; cutting yourself off from wolves will not save you. Only the Gospel of Jesus Christ (the TRUE Gospel) will save you. Cutting off ties, post repentance and salvation of White, would be one of the "fruits" of repentance that Justin mentioned here. If White's repentance is genuine, then he'll accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, denounce his past teachings, step down from preaching and teaching, repent of all the blasphemous and heretical statements he's made, and also cut off any association with any other heretic (Johnson, Copeland, etc.) just to name a few, then that would be evidence of his true salvation and repentance. Otherwise, don't hold your breath on this one!

I used to follow Todd years ago until I really got into my daily bible studies and journaling, it was through really getting into the Word that God warned me to stay far away from him and others like him who preach a false Jesus and lead many astray ( also their music)
I cut all ties out of obedience and repented myself. I'm in a completely different place now Praise God🙏🏼 Todd has to acknowledge his blatant deceit with the leg lengthening ( which was so obvious) I really hope he's being genuine, time will tell.. we will know by his fruits.

I’m curious what God tells you about Pastor Peters when you’re reading and journaling. When I do this I’m usually shown the areas where someone is right but also some areas where they are a little off.
@@michaelnewzealand1888 By God's grace it sounds like she was, many do not take his teaching to scripture. Since all lies contain sone truth people hear his sprinkling of out of context scripture and assume it to be true.
Denny D you obviously have never been to a chiropractor for back pain. One check they always make is your leg length when you’re lying down face first, because its common for them to be uneven, and they adjust your pelvis and spine alignment, which evens the leg length again.
If they get healed of back pain, I would expect the same thing, as God fixes what is causing the back pain.
And if you watched very many videos of his, you’d know that much of the time there’s no checking leg length, and Todd tells the person what needs healed. It’s called the word of knowledge, a gift of the spirit - then he heals them. He’s not a fake, but you’re a false accuser.
Also enlighten us as to what false Jesus he ever talked about. I’ve never seen him preach a false Jesus.

Shaken not stirred, the criticism that Justin acts as a judge is not really a criticism. We are told to judge other Christians with righteous judgement, as long as a person’s judgement does not exceed that of the Bible (James 4:11-12). In my opinion Justin grounded his points in what scripture said, talking about qualifications for an elder and bearing fruits of repentance, therefore the judgement he gives is not unBiblical because he simply applies God’s already spoken guidances to another individual. Also you partake in slander when you claim that Justin views himself as ruler and essentially above Jesus when he very often points the glory towards God in his ministry. I hope you receive this well.

People like Todd and Kanye can only come to Christ from where they are. They were drug using mixed up individuals before they came to Christ. He didn't give them a completely renewed mind and pure doctrine from day 1. To expect so is to deny santication and itself becomes a false gospel

I’m praying that Todd is really saved. Todd sounds like he just now came to know the true gospel. I pray he continues to grow and move on from the false stuff.
Good on you, and should be true of all of us! We should remember even the Apostle Paul,(Saul)(missed God) at one point in his life, Paul,was consented to the stoning death of Stephen(Paul had blood on his hands),nevertheless God delivered him from darkness, and Paul went on to write the better part of the New testament. With God nothing is impossible, no one is beyond his reach. In Acts 5:38-38 God gives us instructions as what to do and what not to do when we are unsure if someone is of God or not. Sadly sometimes we think we are doing the work of God, even as Paul thought he was doing the work of God, by coming against others, Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, and others for example, instead of simply praying for them and leaving it to God. We don't have to name names in order to correct false doctrine, we need only preach the truth. Light dispels darkness, Light does not need the person's name(broadcast) in order to do it. We remember, It is praying for others not pointing out their faults that enables God to deliver them. 1 John 5:16 God says "If you see your brother sin a sin, that doesn't end in death, you should ask God for life for him, and God (will) give him life" Better to pray, then Judge. The word from God is "Judge not lest ye be judged"(Matthew 7:1) God bless you, for the good example of mercy, towards others. In Jesus name. Amen.
Careful! He admitted that he was preaching the wrong gospel, not that he has repented AND accepted the right Gospel.
Todd has been saved for 16 years. He said he responded to this truth when he first got saved.

When I heard he “repented” I watched his video (something I never thought I’d do), then I was thinking “wonder what Justin is gonna say?” Thank you Justin for your ministry and helping to keep us grounded in things like this.
paulsan2112 yes, I watched the full video, hence then reason I put “repented” in quotes. If he is actually saved, he’s a baby Christian and going to be off in areas until he is taught, so we’ll give it time, like Justin said.

I saw this video last night and thought about it. I have to say I don't agree with closing Todd's church because he repented. Doesn't make sense. First they want him to repent now that he has now this guy wants to close his church. Seems almost like they want to control him. Also an apology for fake healings??? Your telling me that all the healings done by him are fake? That is hard to believe. If Todd has something to confess he can repent in private and sin no more. I think this guy judges harder than Jesus. I see Todd really trying to get better and then this guy is trying kick him while he is down.
@@El-Chav0 Read the pastoral epistles of Paul: 1 & 2 Timothy and Titus. Hopefully you'll understand how high *God's* standards of leadership qualifications are for the Church. "Must be above reproach... not greedy for gain.... husband of *one* wife...etc." ooops.... that's not Todd.
@@illuminotme999 I will double check these Epistles. Justin Peters never even mentions the Bible verses to support his "orders". That is a red flag. Closing a church is not good guys. That is really the opposite of the great commission.

I wouldn’t say it should close but I wouldn’t say he has only made mistakes, he’s been preaching blindly to a congregation of the blind. I think it would be loving to step away and grow, instead of being responsible for the spiritual lives of others if you yourself aren’t right.

When we are saved we are all saved by grace. Through faith.
however, Romans 10:13 says that for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. But Matthew 7:21 says that not everyone that calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved. Why isthat? Have you ever considered why Jesus would say something like that? It sounds contradictory to what Paul says right? That's the first thing I thought. I couldn't believe it when I first read it because I thought I found a contradiction in the Bible. But if you read on you find out why not everyone that calls on the name of the Lord will be safe. It clearly states that if you call upon the name of the Lord you repent you believe in Jesus but you don't turn from your sin, you will not be saved.

just like when Abraham was going to sacrifice Isaac, God said that he was counted righteous because he had faith in God and would receive the gift. The gift is the gift of salvation and attaining heaven. However, it says that if you do not do Faith worksthen you shall not inherit the kingdom of heaven. The kingdom of heaven is not heaven where the father is. The kingdom of heaven is the New Jerusalem, the heaven on Earthand that is what God cause the prize. The gift is the free gift of salvation and the prize is the Thousand-Year millennial reign with Christ.
don't believe me? Read Genesis 15:5. It says that he was counted faithful and righteous because he had faith on God and trusted him. But because he was going to do an act of Faith or a faith work meaning that God told him to do something and he believed what God Said even though it was murdering his own son, that is a work of Faith toward God and because he did that God said that he has given Abraham a double portion of a gift and a prize. The gift of salvation in the prize is the Thousand-Year millennial reign. Just because you're a Christian and you're saved and you're going to heaven doesn't mean that you will see the kingdom of God. Yes, you're going to heaven. But, you're Not necessarily going to go to the kingdom of God which is the New Jerusalem on Earth. Not for the Thousand-Year millennial reign anyway.
There is a difference between the gift and the prize.
without change there can be no salvation and without salvation there can be no change. I have always said this and live my life by it.
I watched his sermon yesterday. I'm hoping he's genuine. However he rarely opened his Bible. He quoted it (without reference several times) and it came across as somewhat experiential. Which may be partially out of habit. It contained some depth but not a lot. Praying he will do the right thing and come under the discipleship of Godly mentors.
Let's keep praying for him.Any message however sweet and deep it is .If it is not based on the word of God and guidance of the holy spirit is misplaced and empty with no impact for the glory of God.God have mercy on us to be deceived but follow the true gospel.
Lets give God time to work on him remember how often his disciples needed correction. I definitely pray he is. I’m glad you are hoping he’s genuine I see a lot people trying to find something wrong. If I was in his shoes I definitely would want people genuinely praying for me than just wanting to find something to point out. I’m praying with you that the Lord will led him to the right mentors.
Amazing. Outstanding. Insightful. I greatly, greatly, greatly appreciate all you do, Pastor Peters. This was one video I was highly anticipating. As you stated so eloquently, Mr. White needs to truly understand the gravity of the sin which he has been engaging in if he wants to demonstrate true repentance.

Todd is actually right when he tells people that God loves them. That might not be the whole gospel but it is foundational to the gospel. “God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son.”
Part of the gospel is not the gospel. So NO! He's wrong. Telling people God loves them is not the gospel. Wake UP!

ya, and ive heard lost people tell me the same thing (God is Love) praying for Todd, and the rest of the false teachers and false healers.
I say this.......hear the message of the cross and resurection, call upon the name of the Lord and you will be saved...its about the old heart being surgically removed, and replaced with a new heart as scripture says. Once and for all!!!! He bore it all. and that's assurance....not legalism.
Todd White helped me in an amazing ways in my walk with God. When I was falling away his preaching allowed me to walk get excited about God again. It made me walk in wholeness and righteousness. He does preach about repentance. God really used him in my life.

I understand that when one asks for forgiveness, we are to forgive. Without evidence, we need to be careful. I just wonder if it’s b/c of faith healers are being called out for not being able to do anything about COVID-19.

Michael NewZealand that’s a great question. Confession is action not merely words. Saying you repent and then continuing the practice of said things is not repentance. Time will tell on if Todd actually submits to the lord. But he has preached a false gospel for 15+years. His preaching will shows fruit(action) not just words like he has been doing for his entire “ministry”. He has built his platform off false healings and prosperity. Admitting and denouncing that would be a necessary step if his number one priority is saving souls. Many have come to him for God and Gotten a truck.

Instead of starting a new church, Todd White needs major discipleship now. If he is humbly teachable, he needs to get under a true teacher of the Word to STUDY and RIGHTLY DIVIDE. He also needs to denounce the Kenotic Jesus doctrine and all that comes with it.
the last thing Todd White needs to do is preach in a church. He doesn't even need to lead a choir or teach Sunday school classes. You do not be a light for the road when it's dark in your own house. Even if what you are saying is biblical and doctrine. Even if you're spreading the gospel, you do not do it until you have your house in order. A pastor and that is standing in the pulpit and he's fighting with his wife and there is strife between him and his wife and his children are a mess and he doesn't have his household in order, he is supposed to put preaching to the side and let the assistant pastor take over until he gets his affairs in order.

Oh man, this is good. I watched Todd Whites message and many of the You tube channel shows talking about this subject today but I wanted/needed that breakdown of what true biblical repentance would look like on his part. I so agree. Its not just a little “slap on the wrist” kind of thing and then you go right back to doing what you want to do. It doesn’t work that way. Doreen Virtue is a great example of realizing the Truth, repenting and then doing whatever she had to do to set things right (confess she was wrong) with all the people who followed her. And she did just that, publicly!! Todd White would have to humble himself and repent of his sin and then Stepdown from ministering to others. Yep yep yep. 👍🏼

I am really praying for this conversion and hope that his repentance is real. My guess is that it took him 16 years to work it out because for 16 years he was a fraud. Maybe something finally broke through his heart.

When I ws first born again I listened to his preaching....but eventually I was led away frm him. I knw why, I believe he truly had an encounter with Christ early on but he got caught up in chasing money and prosperity. The word was choked out of him. I knew wht he ws doing was not of God it ws of his own self. And then he started following Kenneth Copeland and I was like OH NO ths dude is bliiinnnd. Its really unfortunate but many ppl publically repent but they never step away from their ministry. This is a disqualification hands dwn. His Son Our Lord my story is similar to yours. I’m so thankful God used the people early on in my path that at least got me started in following after Him. I’m thankful also that God also continues to give me discernment to move on and to seek out and find more Biblically sound teachers as I continue to grow in my walk with Him. It truly is a journey!
@@smoochypooh7700 yes, this is how I came to understand that the scripture says when the Spirit is come, he will LEAD YOU into all truth....it didnt say he would KEEP YOU FROM all falsehoods. So as I learned the first few years that we are like swat dogs on a leash, being taught to sniff out the truth from bomb doctrines and heretics. Your keen nose depends on how fervently you want to know truth from your ears being tickled.
Time will tell but he is disqualified from teaching/preaching.
I was misled by Todd's heresy also for a minute. It's about growing and studying and praying, asking God to reveal truth through Holy Spirit. Ask, seek, knock. So, they just stay where they are at for a season in hopes that people have amnesia and then they reinvent themselves with another ‘side show.’ Let’s pray that this is real and that the grace of our Lord moves Todd to gut wrenching repentance.
That's a good question. I feel like alot of these prosperity preachers is they struggle with change after they repent which change is evidence of true repentance. Preachers find that when they preach sin and repentance, they have a much harder time "selling church seats".. Thw problem with true repentance and Todd is that Todd has to take full, public ownership for leading so many people astray for so long and this could come at the cost of his entire ministry and income tumbling down. Is Todd willing to give up everything to preach the Orthodox Christian Gospel? Or when Todd starts to realize his church is shrinking and many within his movement are beggining to turn against him... will he stand firm and continue preaching the biblical Gospel?

The account in Luke 19 about Zacchaeus was a work of God in a man that was filthy rich by cheating people. Todd White has done the same so his repentance should look similar.

I listened to White's sermon too yesterday. Totally floored because I NEVER expected to hear anything like that come out of his lips. My reaction was: If this is genuine, he likely just got saved. But I've also held the same cautions. If genuine, he will need to repent publicly and renounce the false teachings he has been doing all this time. I don't expect it to happen overnight though. But if genuine, it will express itself in the relative near future. This is an excellent admonition, but I would ask that we give grace for Todd to be able to process what he needs to do. And may he listen to this wise counsel. Paul spent three years in Arabia to learn the truth before preaching. Todd needs to spend some time out of the spotlight alone with God before "planting" another church or continuing in his ministry. I agree he needs to shut it down, and if God calls him back, he starts a new one with a new name, a new vision, and a new focus.
I hope this is real. God had to work on my heart until I got to the place I could pray for Todd with love. I was so appalled by his preaching it was hard to get past it as I wanted to defend the truth. I will continue to pray for him and other false teachers in the hopes that they all come to a realization of the true gospel. He has much to learn. We will be watching for the fruit now.

Justin, I do know you believe God’s miracles don’t occur today, but I want to ask you which ones? I don’t have knowledge of a health related miracle (and I am an ER dr.), but I can assure you He does do amazing things now that cannot be explained. I am a former catholic who is born again and Bible reading follower of Christ alone who has had 2 words of knowledge, heard 4 words from Jesus that changed my medical practice forever, and a simple one line prayer that had an amazing effect on a tiny town “baptist” church in New Hampshire far from my home. I will share the last. I had attended the early service with my sister so the second service was going to be the same. He was speaking on my very favorite section about the armor of God. As he was starting the sermon, I prayed this regarding the pastor: “Lord, I pray the Holy Spirit touch this man as he has never been touched before “. That was it. Within seconds, he began stumbling over his words, and eventually was unable to speak. He calmly walked over to the center area in front of the elevated platform and lay prostrate on his face and stayed there for the next couple of hours. Meantime, one by one, people would speak up, quote scripture, break out in song, or give a testimony. Nothing was chaotic, nothing scripted. One person who came up in front of the church to share was flabbergasted that she had done that since never would she normally stand before an audience and speak. I was a blubbering idiot, so many tears rolling down my face I thought I was becoming dehydrated lol. God showed me that prayers do not need to be long and colorful, that He is real, that He will show up as He wills even in a small town of 12,000.and that this was what worship really looks like, but most of all, He hears you!!! I am so humbled by that experience, as well another where I actually witnessed my previously atheist younger sister be baptized suddenly by the Holy Spirit in a B&B in Paris. From that moment, the world and all it’s colors changed irrevocably and she came home to tell her husband that she could “never go back” to how things were before. Anyway. He is intimately involved with us this very moment. I pray you experience something like that ( I do not at all look for signs and wonders. Nor do I speak in tongues. In fact, bethel and prosperity and NAR have nothing to do with the true gospel.). So even though I have been forever affected by what happened in my little circle, I share this with you so that you keep an open mind about these things while at all times being a good Berean. Brother Dr. Justin, I enjoyed reading your comments directed towards Brother Peters. I think you misunderstood what Brother Peter teaches regarding miracles. He does NOT teach that there are no miracles anymore, what he teaches is that after the Apostles has died, Christ did not empower others (people today) with that gift as it was given to the Apostles to confirm and spread the gospel. Any Christian sound in the word cannot deny miracles happen all the time but that is far different than people to claim they can perform miracles because our Lord and Savior has given that gift to them. That Brother Justin is simply and clearly blasphemous. Again, thank you for sharing this story with all of us and may the Lord continue to bless you and yours and may all of us continue to study and grow in his word. Counseling under some legitimate elders of the church - not HIS church, but a genuine one. Immediate resignation from the ministry until he's TRULY shown those fruits. Instead, what do we get? Todd throwing blame at everyone but himself. Adding a fake "repentance" to all his other heresies. He’s guilty of so much more than simply not preaching the whole law of the gospel. No sir he’s made a mockery of the Holy Spirit and much more. I hope he truly repents as well but this doesn’t clear up anything in Todd whites case. He would have to denounce he’s entire former life.
Give it time, we'll see. I pray he further repents for his actions before his congregation.
I pray this is the case... but time will tell.. the shunning and denouncing of his so called friends and chilling on the ministry will be the proof

We must still avoid Todd. If you are not a mature Christian, young in the faith (maybe even if you are not an elder) we should avoid Todd white and all his content. I trust that men like Justin peters and Chris from fighting for the faith and Todd from wretched will keep us up to date if this repentance is true but I would encourage most believers to not become obsessed with Todd white now.
I wonder what Paul Crouch is thinking about Todd’s new found self analysis🤔 To my understanding, Todd was Paul’s protégée. I would like to hope this creates a ripple affect of self reflection and eventual repentance within that circle. Seeing all the chaos around the world should strike up some fear in these folks. They will have to give an answer for leading so many people astray.
On another note, wouldn’t it be great to hear down the road that Ray or Justin are providing some direct discipleship to Todd.

The love in this video is beautiful. I love how you approached this biblically and gently but boldly and unwavering. Praise God for the wisdom he has given you. Also, I am a disciplinary kind of guy but I didn't know if I approach disciplinary speech right. Watching this video is an encouragement to me even though it is not for me.
That's so scary, to think that a person could have led thousands into a false Christ. With these false teachers, we must be wary because a bunch of them will probably say they've repented because so many are moving away from health, wealth, and prosperity gospels. It can be a very calculated strategy. But if they are being honest, godly sorrow will fall on them and they will leave the public limelight to sit under sound teaching. I hope Todd White is being genuine but it sounds sketchy.

Hopefully its really a step in the right direction. Its fluff at this point.. He said he repents of not preaching the full gospel. He didn't say he asked God to forgive him for preaching a false gospel and repenting of that sin. He's been teaching a false gospel. He didn't ask his followers to forgive him for teaching them false doctrine.
But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

That struck me too. It's one thing to say one has repented but asking for forgiveness is part of that. I sincerely hope the best for this man. He is not my type of preacher but I know lots of people who appreciate his style. I hope he either leaves Bethel or the leadership team there learn from Mr. White.

I would be in tears and rejoice if he would be truly saved. Got tears now writing these comments. So damaging how people told me to have faith in the sense God will heal you if you just keep pushing yourself to be more physically active. Work etc. 4-5 years now I've been bedbound 20 to 23 hours a day with spine problems and in pain every day and on very high doses or morphine for years. Now I'm just on the maximum amount. I have made my condition worse by trying to be more active and push through the pain. The suffering is very hard to deal with but I can rejoice in Jesus Christ my God and saviour for he can heal me if it's his will. I don't need to be healed to have an abundant life as I'm saved Praise the LORD! Todd you are part of the reason I'm suffering if there were no men or women like you I would not be in so much pain. Know this you will suffer terribly in hell if you go there but I hope you go to paradise. I love you and forgive you and it's only by the Grace of Almighty God that I can do this. He can change you in such an amazing way please Repent and believe the Gospel.
What happens when you go to a preacher who tells you how amazing you are, they start to believe it. And if they are so amazing why do they need God or His help. This happens all the time. But if you say we are sinners and need to go to the Cross and be forgiven then the people realize they need a Savior.
I really like you Mr. Peters, however I think you should have communicated these feelings, to Todd White, privately! He would be more understanding and receptive to the issues that you have stated in your video. Everything you have said is the truth, but truth has to be sprinkled with love. You and I both know that the scriptures command us to. There are other things that should be said but I'm not going to publicly shame you for likes and views.
