i am driving this car for last 3.5 years. I am part of world wide Toyota Crown community. I saw that typically people don't like GRS18x models because of their body style (i really have no idea why it is hated) but i can clearly make a statement that this is the fastest Toyota Crown ever made, possibly one of the fastest Sedan Toyota ever made. The 3.5L variant produces so much power, it is unbelievable.
@@brycestrandt8224 i am able to get around 7.5km/L in city and 12.5km/L on the highway, if i drive sensibly. These are very fuel efficient car but will also give you power on demand.
It was the first model in their new crown zero series. My uncle had one of these (2.5 250hp). The common problem is the oil consumption and also dash plastic. Gloveboxes crack easily
@@brycestrandt8224 sorry for late reply. I will say it is very economic due to It's dual fuel injection system. So when you are having a normal cruise, it is very fuel efficient but if you need power then you will also have it. If i don't drive like a maniac, inside city it does 8km/L and on highway i was able to squeeze out 12.5km/L. Hope this helps.
@@SashaFujiwara luckily i have none of those problems, although my car ran more than 160k km already. My dashboard has some minor cracks but not noticeable.
No it won't be faster in sports mode .Sports mode only makes the cars revs stick for a bit longer before going down ,so that you are always in high power band .Very useful along highway but Unnecessary for 0 to 100 time ...
What is it that makes the S180 go harder than the S200? They both share the same engine and output the same amount of power and torque? Just wondering because I just purchased a 2010 Athlete Modellista with the supercharger thinking it would go even better than the S184 with it having an extra 40kw and over 100+nm?
@@obriengreggsen in normal city driving, you will get around 7.5km/L. if you drive carefully, you can even get 8.0km/L (not combined). On highway, you will easily get 12.5km/L, was able to get 13.2km/L using cruise control.
It's quicker if you put the ECT PWR mode on. The gearbox responds quicker
nah man gearbox stays longer in gear for maximum output
That's a super fast limo.

How is it on gas? What do you pay and how often? Want to get one

Nice!
311 hp!?????????
Because it doesn’t have Turbo but it’s good
Sounds a lot like an alloytec v6 during 0-100
yeah but it will actually last half a million ks
@@TheWretchedWorldYeah true 😂
When goin 80, the rpm level is 3500? Anyone know what’s wrong ?
You're prob in sport mode. There the system manages the gears as if you're in a race. Or you just press the gas a little too hard when take off
Is the top speed only 180 will it not go to 220 like it's lexus counter part the gs350
You can have it delimited

What was your 0-100kph time?
Did you end up getting it tuned on a dyno?
Body to power ratio is the cause
Some of us cruise at 150km/h
315HP
Startlingly!
how is fuel consumption?
It is about 8.40km/L.
8.40km/L city, combined or highway?
Mate what can you say about the 2.5L 4GR version is it good for everyday use? Does it feel underpowered?
