I don't think adding more humor to Dean's character has made him any less badass. We still get tons of scenes of Dean kicking ass.

I think it's more of a case of something looking good on paper, i.e. the script, but couldn't quite translate to live action with the budget they have. It was too late to change the script so they just had to go with it.
I wasn't expecting him to say that.
Completely agree with Jensen, that fight scene was awkward because of the harnesses and the set up. It didn't translate well. I can't imagine why the writers would have gone with that idea instead of a massive, physical fight, showing the brute force of two archangels going head-to-head if they wanted to get that across.
But in the end, it wasn't so bad that it's embarrassing. I mean, it's the CW, they have only so much of a budget and there's been some wonky stuff like that in a lot of their action-oriented shows. Still a great finale and acting.
The thing about the actors recognizing the bad stuff is so true. Like when Misha talks about his AU!Cas' accent, and all the plotholes that emerge in the show. It's so nice to hear that they actually see it, too.

Joining in with everyone else to say thank you for posting this! And for the record, I was really glad to hear Jensen's comments regarding the mid-air fight scene. I thought it was just silly and hard to watch, and apparently he had issues with it, too.

I think Jensen gets exasperated with the mental health questions. Because it happens at nearly every con. People tend to treat Jensen and especially Jared, like they're counselors. 😒

The wire fight might have looked neat on paper, but seeing how all three actors who had to wear the harnesses were uncomfortable the whole time.... they're probably never going to do that again! Thank God!!! There was a new stunt coordinator, that's why it looked so bad. They really need to fire him and bring Lou back!

He has been saying that for quite a while now. I read it in interviews.
I don't know if i am looking to much into this but it seems like jared doesn't goof around with jensen anymore like he just stays silent whenever jensen is asked a question. like before he would interject or start a fun banter with him but now nothing.
It may be because Jensen isn't nervous in front of the fans as much anymore. Any time they're somewhere new he gets very nervous and Jared jokes around and helps him calm down and be able to do better and not freak out on stage. And they've been doing this so long now that Jensen is comfortable with the fans and all their questions
So what they were saying is that soulless Sam was STUPID
