"Im used to london horrible people" this reminds me of a monty python sketch where theres a massive news story about a northerner loose in london who keeps saying hello to people
So, Jiutou gives Cam her awesome Doss Lute. That's cool since IRL Kim gave Trott her awesome Ibanez. Also the Doss Lute will be much better for Cam since most of what it can do Jiutou can already do. She has passive fire resistance and poison immunity and she can fly in air stance so the only thing she really uses it for anymore is invisibility. Good thinking giving that to Cam. That helped balance the team out quite a bit I think. :D
Yeah, but Cam also has the majority of things the doss lute offers> Kim's "flying" is pretty weak because she needs to use ki points all the time and does not allow her to do any other bonus stuff on her round, and the invisibility is very useful on Jiutou whilst Cam can go invisible by himself.I think the utility of the doss lute serves her way more.
His invisibility is far shorter than the spell though, the monk being able to fly is not that useful since she does melee attacks along with that her speed is high and that she can run on walls. While having the cleric flying where people can't hit him (Atleast most people) is really useful. Along with imagining trickster cleric with a doss lute just looks really cool
Well Raise Dead wasn't cast that time. It was a boon from a fey creature. It's taken that long for Cam to get to a level where he can cast it himself. If you have the power to do it there really isn't any reason to let your friends and allies remain dead.
I watched live and had to leave for a minute. I came back to hear mark say "you still need to make saving throws" and i freaked, i thought Reynard was gonna die.
I was on the edge of my chair, eyes glued to the screen when hearing Reynard might die. phew! That is a luck.. Pure luck that happen. Thank god hairy Reynard lived : O
Imagine how easy this fight would have been if they actually fought the dragon from the start instead of taking damage and wasting some spells and ki running away for half the fight. Its like they dont realize how much damage they can actually pour out per round at this point.
I mean Mark overplayed it a little by having it single-handedly wipe out the village of frost giants but you're right. They have to come to let everything intimidated and forget how powerful they are in their own right. Some of it also has to do with their spell preparation being borked so that effectively got caught with their pants down. I know they were irritated about everybody second guessing their choices but this mistake brought them far closer to a TPK then it needed to be.
Can someone please make fan art of cam pointing at Nalistri saying "yeahhhh" when elora gave him a little peck on the lips. I would love to see that pleaseeeeee.
I feel so sad for Mark you can kinda see him try really hard to not make any mistakes even though he says he doesn't care about the hate he gets it bothers him at least a bit
I wonder when Cam had the realization that if he hadnt tried to run and used his spell slots he could have killed that dragon by himself after the damage they did Edit: I also wonder when Elora realized she could have wild shaped and taken the dragon's attention
When Elora asked about the gauntlets matching the belt and if there was a whole set she was right. There is the Belt of Frost Giant Strength, Gauntlets of something probably more strength, and I believe the last was a hammer that could only be used with the gauntlets and the belt much like the Norse tale of Thor's hammer Mjolnir which can only be used if he had his gauntlets of strength named Jarngreipr and his belt named Megingjoro. I hope that this cleared things up and that you learned a thing or two you didn't know. So Elora is going to basically become Thor and call lightning down on everything.
If you get any belt of giant strength and the gauntlets of ogre power you can wield the hammer of thunderbolts, which has a chance to instagib giants. The genie they kept buying magical items off told them this a while ago.
The_Milkman_Returns Oh so is it an acuall thing in D&D th edition or is a Mark homebrewed thing? If it is a D&D 5th edition I didnt know that it was thats cool.

If the council used defeating the broken sky as part of their campaign to win the vote, that just makes me think the broken sky willingly surrendered some of their lesser forces to help the council win because there are broken sky members in the council! This is the absolute opposite of good right now because the threat has only grown while everyone is lowering their guard.
Yeah I agree even if it's just like 4 or 5 I call bs a normal tribe is like 6 to 7 with one shaman (caster) an the jural especially if the frost giant is the same size of the dragon
The thing about a FoWP (Figurine of Wonderous Power), such as the Griffin, is that all they really are is a means of summoning a creature from a different plane. The Griffin is fine, scared of a dragon and sore, but fine.
I loved the story moment and everything but one moment made me so mad I had to go and look up the rules just to make sure I wasn't being an arsehole. If you Nat 20 a death save you regain 1 hitpoint. Raynard could have shot the dragon inside the mouth. But still amazing tense moment
Yeah, I think Trott threw me off and I'm never sure which way round it goes so we didn't catch it till after play. However, if Reynard had shot it in the mouth the following would have happened: 1) Dragons held action to bite down and try to swallow Reynard would trigger (Reynard was also grappled so would have advantage) 2) Dragon dies and then falls (with Reynard possible inside it) 100 or so feet down... 10d6 damage later. 3) If swallowed, Reynard would still be burnt by acid/suffocate.
Though amusingly, this is the second time a High Roller has 20'd a death save while being carried away unconscious and used as ransom against the party. Maybe Reynard and Trell have more in common than they'd like to admit. ^.^
I thought getting a nat20 on a death saving throw automatically brought you back with 1 hp. Do they houserule otherwise? I was so very disappointed to watch Reynad get such a critical (no pun) save at a crucial time when he could have finished off the dragon had he come back to consciousness.
No, a nat 20 on a death save just means 2 successes on the death saves. But a lot of people do use the house rule of nat20 brings you back immediately.

Quite honestly don't understand some of the bitchy comments. It's a fun role playing game, Mark is an excellent DM and the players are playing how and who they want. Relax about the mechanics and enjoy that game/show
FrumpyGoose overall issue that I and apparently a number of other people have- is that when you run the rules as loosely as Mark does for some situations and then turn on a dime and adhere to them as strictly as possible, it makes for an overall confusing and frustrating gaming session or environment. Perfect example: Tom rolling a natural 20 on the death save should have allowed him to regain one hit point and let him injure or shoot the Dragon. There have been at least two or three situations where Trott has rolled a natural 20 on a death save that didn't involve his lightborn abilities and he was immediately allowed to react upon regaining consciousness.
It's not fun to me when players don't play their characters in a consistent manner. It's not fun for me when Juitou constantly ridicules Reynald. It's not fun for me when these players run from major fights like this one when they could have killed this dragon pretty quickly if they all went after it. It's not fun for me when some players hoard treasure from the other players. That's not all they do that is messed up, however it makes my point.
@@karlcross9112 Your mindset - "It's not fun for ME that THEY don't do this or that." Breaking News - Man discovers something isn't right for him. Is that what your saying? Cuz your coming across as an asshole who doesn't enjoy things right now. Just let them do it man. And it's not like we can impact their choice. Sorry if this notice is coming to you so late but you should seriously reconsider your perspective on life if you still think this.
@@seaw4v3s Hello, I did not get a notification of your post, just got one from Fred posting and saw yours. I do not understand your point as to the reason I am an asshole. This is episode 74 not episode 1 so how does wanting things right now fit? My perspective on life has nothing to do with my opinion of how someone plays a game. I watch a game to be entertained. This group was put together to act while playing the game they knew nothing about. I would prefer a group that enjoys the game and acts (role plays) okay. However, I stopped watching around a year ago. I don't care, they don't care so all is well.
People will always criticise things, especially when you are doing anything in public. You can only control what you do. All backseating can be ignored and in extreme circumstances, deleted/users banned. I think it's useless to complain about anything that isn't threatening language.
After falling 110 ft in one round, the dragon should have been unable to move into melee with Reynard without a full round action, much less move past him! Mark was making an already difficult encounter way worse by missusing mechanics to his benefit.
For all the people who think mark is wrong. To work of speed a falling is 9.81 m/s^2 Using this formula for regular gravity (not Arakas gravity which could in fact be anything) a person would fall at a speed of 984ft per round/every 6 seconds, so if you don't like the way Mark does it don't get angry just do some maths get bored and fall asleep
Xanathar's Guide has very simple falling rules in it, backed up by actual terminal velocities of human like objects. If you are in the state "falling", you instantly drop 500 feet at the end of each of your turns.

It's his home brew
Not necessarily reincarnation but he has homebrewed a number of different side effects to make death more consequential.
Deageing, change in species, and a nonfunctional limb have been demonstrated in the past.
When Cam sacrificed his gift as a Lightborn it fully transferred to the person he resurrected. Which does entirely seem like a consequence as far as I'm concerned.

@@karlcross9112 Your mindset - "It's not fun for ME that THEY don't do this or that."
Breaking News - Man discovers something isn't right for him.
Is that what your saying? Cuz your coming across as an asshole who doesn't enjoy things right now. Just let them do it man. And it's not like we can impact their choice.
Sorry if this notice is coming to you so late but you should seriously reconsider your perspective on life if you still think this.
@@karlcross9112 They're not doing it for you. They're doing it because *they* have fun.

❤️❤️❤️Reynard❤️❤️❤️
Reynard mc at the beginning
So many people bitching about things not being right...was I the only one that listened to the intro?
People will always criticise things, especially when you are doing anything in public. You can only control what you do.
All backseating can be ignored and in extreme circumstances, deleted/users banned.
I think it's useless to complain about anything that isn't threatening language.
Natural 20 means you come back with one hit point Mark ffs.
So very lucky.
After falling 110 ft in one round, the dragon should have been unable to move into melee with Reynard without a full round action, much less move past him! Mark was making an already difficult encounter way worse by missusing mechanics to his benefit.
They're playing D&D, but if you want to talk crap in chat, you can play Banhammer 40k.
A natural 20 on a death save brings the character to 1hp no? Its how myparty has been playing it atleast
Yup just confirmed with rule book a natural 20 gives 1HP
They have a lot of wierd house rules.
drelicharcz well they followed it before so he either did it for story sake or he railroaded the players into not killing the dragon
@@temporaryhalfdecentname8452 or he just forgot?

For all the people who think mark is wrong.
To work of speed a falling is 9.81 m/s^2
Using this formula for regular gravity (not Arakas gravity which could in fact be anything) a person would fall at a speed of 984ft per round/every 6 seconds, so if you don't like the way Mark does it don't get angry just do some maths get bored and fall asleep
Xanathar's Guide has very simple falling rules in it, backed up by actual terminal velocities of human like objects. If you are in the state "falling", you instantly drop 500 feet at the end of each of your turns.
