Not Stanley #1: Not A Serial Killer (2010) By David Firth
My name is not Stanley. People often mistake me for a serial killer but I can guarantee there is no connection. Yes, I have committed a few murders but they were years apart and unrelated. If a TV network puts out 3 similar dramas over a year or so, this is not necessarily a series, even if the director and actors all remain the same. I have no time for fruitless accusations. My life has plenty of purpose. I once stood too close to a train as it was leaving the station. The train driver shouted at me and I shouted back. I was within my rights.

I used to write surreal stories like this when I was at school. I had a character called Horsey Vaine, he had a square heard, 2 mouths, 2 noses (because his face was in front and side profile at the same time) he had wooden meat tenderisers as hands and coil springs as legs. I still have a picture of him that I drew from all those years ago. I am now 44 years old.

@@dennismob7573 Not Stanley is a clever satire about the general emotional significance of life in the United States, and the many ideas that I think that a lot of us tend to forget about. You want an example? I think a good example would be the scene where he's discussing 54. 54 comes before 55, and after 53. This is clearly a reference to the bible verse on page 55, "And to it he spoke;". It's a clear reference to that, discussing the harmful nature of western politics. Another potential interpretation was Ray William Johnson Markiplier Fred P'games Nintendo Sega, but I think that one's more controvercial.

I loved Salad Fingers back when I was in college (wow, where does the time go), then I on a whim look up what David Firth's been up to, and I find... this piece of utter brilliance. I was nearly coughing from laughing so hard at a few parts of this. When he shoots those two people and then walks away in that... unique way... I just lost it. Thanks for making this, Mr. Firth!

This is the American version of Health Reminder.
I don't obviously know about anyone else but David Firth's work in all its styles have become somewhat of an inspiration. I don't find learning animation the easiest of tasks but it's this channel that made me want to learn. I admire his work a lot.

I know this is years old but it's David doing the voice, totally improv, off the top of his head. He said this in the comments of another one of the Stanley videos. He does most of the voices in his animations.
