Given the fact that Mavericks already had SF Jamal Mashburn and SG Jim Jackson. Drafting PG Jason Kidd would have been the right pick even if they would have had the number one overall. If the Mavericks would have picked Grant Hill they sold have had to trade Mashburn or Jim Jackson. Both were high picks in prior years.
Heavy Gratitude Ps Jason Kidd is the best high school player I saw live with my own eyes. He was a 6 '4 Magic and my favorite player is Magic. And I think J Kidd is one of the Top 5 point guards in NBA history. His court vision and passing is amazing. I'm glad he won that ring with The Mavs.
Me, too. When he was traded mid-season, back to Dallas, I wasn’t all that enthused about it, but he was such a big part of that title run in 2011. So, when I look back on it, now, I think it’s a thing of beauty.
13:08 Jason Kidd the best point guard to enter the draft since isiah Thomas in 1982. Very accurate at the time as I do have kidd or Stockton in my all time rankings.
This what I miss about the game shit was so different in the early 90s . Nowadays youngsters in the drafted take this shit for granted it's not a dream anymore like it was in the 94 . The draft of 94 was about the hunger and hop you had to make it off these streets in the 94 .
Jason Kidd was the right PG for Dick Motta but he was not the right PG for future coach Jim Cleamons. Luckily they were able to get Michael Finley and others from the Suns for Kidd in 1997.
Grant Hill. Didn't outplay Big Dog, Duke had more talent ... Grant Hill was 11 points 7 rbds... Big Dog was 13 points 13 rbds. Exactly, Glenn was a great player! The only knock on him, was that he couldn't play D. Sadly, he has to ride the pine with San Antonio to get a ring! In some circles around Milwaukee, if you say that they didn't get robbed by the League in 2001, You could whind up face down with your pockets hanging out! Milwaukee fans are salty about that one, but now they got Giannis so...
Ness OG if he wasn't injury prone he would not only have a title (the year after he left Detroit we won a championship if he just stayed.) he would be established as a great.

Robinson was an absolute beast in college. Best pure scorer anyone had seen in awhile. And he’s no JKidd, but Big Dog didn’t have a half bad career. Not a bad pick at all. And they had former first round pick Eric Murdock coming off of a career season at PG.
