Great video im from Philadelphia Pennsylvania USA and would love to visit manchester 🇬🇧 and then take a northern rail train from Manchester piccadilly to the town of hale.
Enjoying it so far atm but with that 221 engine turning off the driver can do that while on the move and it won't affect it tpe do it with the 185s and they can only start the the engine back up when stationary as they are DEMUS like the 220/221/222 thought I'd let u know
@@KTVTransport yes you have a point but when me and my mate was on the way back from Doncaster back in January and the middle carriage engine went off we was confused about it until we figured out why they were called DEMUS
they have also run 142+158 combos in passenger service, which I didn't think could run in passenger service, only ECS, so I guess it's only 142+170 that's ECS only
Think about it! Long-distance, cross-border services, so that people can travel directly between Manchester Piccadilly and Carmarthen/Milford Haven/Tenby (via Crewe, Shrewsbury, Hereford etc and South Wales including Cardiff Central/Swansea/Llanelli etc) and also between Manchester Piccadilly and Llandudno... They also run a service between Birmingham International and Aberystwyth via New Street, Smethwick, Wolverhampton, Telford Central, Wellington, Shrewsbury, Welshpool, Newtown, Caersws, Machynlleth, Dovey Junction and Borth, a service between Birmingham International and Pwllheli via New Street, Smethwick, Wolverhampton, Telford Central, Wellington, Shrewsbury, Welshpool, Newtown, Caersws, Machynlleth, Dovey Junction and Fairbourne/Barmouth/Penrhyndeudraeth/Porthmadog etc and a service between Birmingham International and Holyhead via New Street, Smethwick, Wolverhampton, Telford Central, Wellington, Shrewsbury, Wrexham General/Chester/Rhyl/Llandudno Junction/Bangor/Llanfairpwllgwyngyll etc Transport for Wales is not the only TOC operating cross-border English-Welsh services either... CrossCountry operate a service between Nottingham and Cardiff Central via Birmingham New Street, and Great Western Railway operate services between Portsmouth Harbour and Cardiff Central (via Bristol, Bath, Southampton etc), between Taunton and Cardiff Central, and between London Paddington and Cardiff Central, some of which are extended to Swansea, others further extended to Carmarthen and in the summer months even to Pembroke Dock...
It's an easy mistake to make, confusing trailer numbers with locomotive numbers... But yes a DVT is a DVT, and an 82 is an 82 (early 1960s electric locomotive)
Great video

Fantastic video Kieran loved it 😊 Beautiful Station Manchester Piccadilly and so much variety and vantage points like you say 😊☁️🌒🚄🚅🚆🚇
Thank you! It truly is a sensational station. 😀
The two trains I've always wanted to see! The TfW class 82 and a class 67 all in one train. I think I'm in heaven
It's a fantastic set as well! 😀
That crosscountry service is for Paignton, Devon
Awesome Footage Bud :) I hope I get to film Manchester Piccadilly one day and try out a couple of routes.
That is very very busy
YES!!! I love these long videos from big stations :-D
More of them to come. 😀
@@KTVTransport yay
This is my local station but the closest staion to me is blackburn and Accrington. I use this station a lot to go to london Euston
Very nice Kieran
Thanks Sam!
No answer for the question lol I am from Plymouth but I was literally screaming mentally for 150126 or 150120 LOL

Thanks mate, yeah I thought it was weird, must creep the passengers out a bit.

185s aren't DEMUs, they're DHMUs. They just have the eco mode.
Hi, was Oxford Road the irregular stop 🤔
It’s car stairs I’ve messed about on real-time trains and seen it :p
What day are you doing Newbury
I've been there LOL
You and about a million other people. 😂
a 158 and 156 is not that wierd of a combo - Northern ran a passenger service the other day/week with 156-460 coupled to a 142!
Northern have some unique combos though...😉
they have also run 142+158 combos in passenger service, which I didn't think could run in passenger service, only ECS, so I guess it's only 142+170 that's ECS only
How come Transport for wales go to manchester even though manchester is nowhere near wales?
I don’t know

RWL2012 thank you
TfW serve Wales but directly link Wales with a lot of England. 😊
Sometimes I get the Birmingham International train because it comes to my local station (Telford Central)@@RWL2012
DVTs aren't 82s at all... Just had to say it, not moaning, just informing.
It's an easy mistake to make, confusing trailer numbers with locomotive numbers... But yes a DVT is a DVT, and an 82 is an 82 (early 1960s electric locomotive)
Yes I know, a DVT is a DVT that's it...
I was tryna say he called it an 82 DVT in the video, which isn't what it is.
Haymarket
Carstairs
Well done!!
