I watched this match during Gobou's stream titled, "Praise Asuka" - which Gobou dedicated to saying nothing but positive things about Asuka, his high skill ceiling, and potential - the comments were funny and had a good vibe to them. Further, Roy played very well to not have faced Gobou before from my knowledge, but it appears that both Gobou and their Asuka are just too strong... *(Unassociated with this match, but it is concerning the Asuka/Slayer match-up - long post warning)* I understand this may be a bit unexpected, but I have a confession to make... dating back to around a week after Slayer's release, Gobou has stated that he felt that the Slayer/Asuka match-up was going to be disadvantageous for Asuka. Until now, Gobou has refrained from making any statements regarding this match-up, because he apparently uses Bayes's Rule when making his decisions - which means, he will generally gather new information and adjust his hypothesis accordingly. In one of his more recent broadcasts, Gobou fought a strong Asuka player (Chocoservant) who has been using Slayer on the side since its release, and Gobou had some thoughts regarding this match-up: He stated that (translations by me): *Gobou:* *"Putting aside the difference in return (damage), it's not good that it's easy for Slayer to touch/catch it (Asuka) and that Asuka's magic can be evaded/erased relatively easy."* *"It is always the case that Asuka loses when attacked, but the problem is that Asuka's chances are few and weak (against Slayer)."* **After playing a few more matches, Gobou apparently had an epiphany and stated:** *Gobou:* *"Slayer's fighting style, offense, and defense are so strong, that it's not worth the risk/return for him to cast a single spell."* **He then concluded his analysis by stating the following:** *Gobou:* *"The Slayer fight is not good..."* Interestingly enough, Chocoservant (the Slayer user) also said that he felt the Asuka/Slayer match-up was difficult for Asuka. So, with this assessment of the Slayer match-up thoroughly done by Gobou himself, I humbly accept defeat... for the longest time, I was in denial that this fight was disadvantageous for Asuka - from my perspective, whenever Gobou's Asuka got his offense started, the match was typically over for the Slayer user in most cases - so I figured that if you played perfectly, made no mistakes, and had fantastic defense, that the Slayer match-up would not be much of an issue - given that Asuka is still a strong character. Additionally, anytime when I was playing as Asuka and lost around 80+% of my HP in one combo to Slayer - which then put me in a disadvantageous situation against the Slayer user (plus them having Positive Bonus), I just told myself that "Slayer does this to every character;" when Slayer users would 6P > Mappa through my pressure, I just figured they knew the Asuka match-up quite well, I made a mistake, and praised them for it; and I usually blamed myself for guessing wrong against 2H, and allowing it to mop the floor with 2D, or my attempts to throw out an preemptive 2S to catch Dandy Step; and in the event I got hit by "Dead on Time" (Super Mappa Hunch), I just summed it up to me being quite careless against Slayer... However, Asuka users, including Gesui and Komekome (who recently got dominated in a Sunday tournament by TY's Slayer), do not like this fight, and I also heard from other Asuka players that this character archetype (Slayer's) appears to be a counter to Asuka's. My apologies, Asuka users, I should have never doubted you... I personally find downplaying vexatious, so I generally avoid displaying any signs of it in my posts; my personal disdain for Slayer also played a huge role in my refusal to accept that Slayer was favored in the match-up - so that is a character flaw that I accept and need to work on. That being said, congratulations, Slayer players, you have an advantage against Zato, Asuka, and I-No - with the match-up vs. I-No probably being the least favorable for you... please take every advantage of it, as we would if the converse was true. On an unrelated note: To all my fellow Asuka soldiers competing at this year's EVO 2024 - and anyone else in this comment section attending the event as well, I wish you all nothing but success. Deliver your very best gameplay during the tournament, learn from your experiences, and above all, try to have fun and make the most out of your stay - oh, and please don't let the vampires bite... I apologize for the long post...

I just recently picked up asuka, haven’t really played since his release (mk1 and tekken 8 took my focus)… Asuka is one of the most hilarious characters In all of fighting game history when played optimally, bros just looking up and chucking everything in the book at his opponent 😂😂. I see why these guys are rushing me down when I’m a fresh level 4 In the park, they don’t want me to learn how to do this kinda pressure to them 🤣
Krohnen McDougall from Kof XV. Most of the Kof XV community hate him because of how broken he was back then (Now he has been nerfed to the ground and is almost unplayable 😭) but I just love his desing so much, it has a certain "broken hero" aura that I love, like someone who was once a hero who would fight for the innocent and justice, but something made him lost his morals and since then he walks in the shadows, outside from society, only fighting for himself (This not his lore if you ask, It's way more simple than that) And because of all of the history he has in the Kof history outside of the games: first starting as K999 in kof 2001, to later mysteriously disappear from the franchise to never be seen again, and for some reason SNK wouldn't say a thing about him, they wheren't even allowed to say his name and all existing media about the character was deleted, like they wanted to made us belive that the character never existed to begin with...And then, more than two decades later, he would finally reapear under a new name and look...Like, can a character have a more interesting history than that? And that's why Krohnen is my favorite character, sorry for the bible.
