The biggest Kali Temple was built on the banks of Vitasta at Khanka e Maula . On Fateh kadal was beautiful shopping centra where Europeans would come to buy Kashmiri handicrafts . CMS school also known as Bisco school was near Fateh Kadal. Elite and best school , which provided modern education in Kashmir. Swami Ram Ji Ashram is also here . Swami Ram revived Kashmir Shaivism during last century. Uptill 1930 Tashwan existed near Fateh Kadal.
