If the honey badger has the same size with the lion, would be the king of the jungle. Hehe 😂
Perhaps the king of carnage...
If a honey badger was the same size of an elephant it would be king of the world 💯
Well the honey badger has one crown 👑 they are the king/queen of courage
Father John and mother Theresa going wild 😂 love it!

Nice video.. Please subscribe to my channel where there is everything related to wildlife and the African savanna.
That hyena saw the honey badger and was like "oh shit" for a second.
Nice footage!! The Hyena is an absolute hideous creature with it’s eery wailing, but is so intriguing. A marvelous predator with jaws that can snap a bone in one bite!
@Deb H i find them ugly and terrifying. The vultures are uglier.
@@thespaceram2879 I highly recommend looking up Cinereous, Bearded, and Palm-nut vultures. Vultures are an incredibly diverse group appearance-wise.
Sacrifices and compromising that hippo blessed a lot of animals that day thank you hippo

Alas!.. honey badger is in the partee🥂🎉🎉
Fierceness order has been decided.. Badger eat first.. hyena next
.and.vulture last..

@B ANNOYING actually the honey badger didn't find anything, what we didn't get to see is the honey badger bringing down the hippo by himself... Every animal, in the animal kingdom, will treat a honey badger the same and that's with extreme caution, like it's a bomb ready to explode.

Honey badges is really brave
The vultures have a large hippo to them selves but can’t stop fighting over it lol 😂
there was me thinking that honey badger was chill and then it attacks for no reason
The hippo lives on in the lives of the animals its carcass sustains, poor hippo? I think not it's just continuing the circle of life, just like every single one of the animals will when they finally play their part...in the circle of life. We all should be as so lucky

LMAO at the Vulture wanting to throw up over the stinch🤣😂
Vultures like it even more rotten than fresh.
@@aaronwilliams6989 They don’t, actually. Vultures generally prefer fresher meat, and won’t touch a carcass once it’s been exposed for more than four or five days.
@@allym.4546 Really? I always heard and read they like it even more rotten because it is softer, even though they will eat it in any condition.
@@aaronwilliams6989 Well, the short answer is this: certain species may feed on older meat if there are little to no other options and/or if the softness of a carcass makes the meat easier to access, but vultures generally prefer “freshly dead” meat, and will reject an older carcass if there are better options available.
As for the long answer (warning: I mean LONG): Whether or not a vulture will feed on older meat largely depends on the species of vulture (some species, such as the Turkey vulture, are pickier with their preference for “freshly dead” meat, and will rarely touch a carcass once it has been out for more than four or five days; on the other hand, species like the Himalayan Griffon vulture are more open to eating older meat), the food resources-or lack thereof-they have to choose from, and the individual species’s feeding ecology.
Vultures are specialists, meaning each individual species possesses a specific beak and cranium morphology (size and shape) adapted to their lifestyle and the individual role they play in consuming a carcass. They operate on what is often referred to as a ‘scavenging guild’ or a ‘vulture guild’, in which there are three main groups that different vulture species belong to in consuming a dead animal: (1) rippers or tearers, (2) pullers or gulpers, and (3) peckers, pickers, or scrappers. The general hierarchy to the scavenger/vulture guild goes like this: tearers > pullers > pickers. I won’t go into full detail for each group, but it is essential to know the importance of rippers/tearers in the guild in order to understand why some vultures may occasionally feed on older meat.
Rippers or tearers like condors (which are technically also pullers/gulpers) and Lappet-faced (seen at the end of this video), Cinereous, Red-headed, White-headed, and King vultures feed primarily on tendons and tough tissues-the cartilage and firm skin that other vultures might not be able to consume. Most tearers are among the largest vulture species, with comparatively short necks and narrow but stout and heavy, hooked beaks (which are really strong), ideal for tearing through tough hides, opening up carcasses, and ripping off tendons from bones and pieces of skin. Tearers are generally considered the apex scavengers of a guild, dominating other vultures at a carcass (unless heavily outnumbered or outsized).
Tearers not only dominate the guild, they also make food more accessible for smaller vultures and other scavengers by opening up carcasses. While there is competition with other scavengers and between individual vultures, the scavenging guild and the roles which these species are adapted to fit in the breakdown of carrion ultimately create a sort of mutual dependence, or team effort, behind all of the competition and bickering. Small species like Cathartes (those in the Cathartes genus, such as the Turkey vulture) and Hooded vultures help guide larger vultures/tearers + pullers and other scavengers (corvids, hyenas, lions, coyotes, raccoons, jackals, etc.) to food sources. These larger vultures/tearers open up the carcasses (well, if large scavengers like hyenas haven’t already), thus making the meat more easily accessible for everyone else.
So, what about when there are no tearers and/or other carcass-opening scavengers around to do this? Oftentimes, the vultures (and corvids) present will go for orifices in the carcass (yes, the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and lower parts. If they gotta eat, they gotta eat 🤷♀️), but they may end up waiting a few days so that the body and its tougher parts (tendons, tough tissues, etc.) are softer and easier to get past to access the softer flesh and tissues, internal organs, and scraps/smaller pieces of meat (what pullers and pickers specialize in eating). Again, this partly depends on the species of vulture and the available resources they have to choose from.
[Extra: Unlike the 21 other vulture species, Bearded and Palm-nut vultures do not specialize in carrion diets, though they are both still obligate scavengers (or at least Bearded is). The Bearded vulture’s diet is 70-90% bone, whereas over half of the Palm-nut vulture’s diet (>60% for adults, >90% for juveniles) is made up of the fruit-husks and fruits of oil (Elaeis guineensis) and raffia (Raphia sp.) palms, hence the bird’s name (‘palm-nut’ refers to the fruit or seed of a palm tree). Basically, the Bearded vulture’s diet is largely bone-based whereas the Palm-nut vulture’s diet is largely plant-based. Once other scavengers have partially or completely skeletonized a carcass, Bearded vultures step in to feed on some of its bones. (Note: This is not the only vulture which eats bones: for many other species, bone fragments make up a small but fairly significant portion of their diet). Both Bearded and Palm-nut vultures may also occasionally join other vultures to eat carrion, but it still only makes up a small part of their diets.]
I apologize for such a long reply, there is just so much context behind this topic. I hope this explanation helps clear some things up!

I have bad news for the hienas, and the birds, the hippo’ meat is
Poisonous, a black mamba did the delivery job 🤣🤣🤣
Actually, it is the Anthrax bacteria thats causes the deaths of wildlife animals. Elephants, hippos, lions and hyenas are on the list.
So, a few days later, if you go back to film, all there is is some dust on the ground.
Funny how the vultures seem to like to fight more than eat.
What are they waiting for someone to say grace lol
The hide is tough and impenetrable. I guess they are giving it time to putrify and decompose, sort of like being cooked in our terms.
As the comment above says, the hide is thick and difficult to penetrate. White-backed vultures (the most prominent vulture species here) do not have beaks and bills adapted for tearing through the tough hides of large mammals, so they generally depend upon species like the Lappet-faced vulture (the pink-headed vulture at the end) to open up these carcasses. Vultures are specialists and have a ‘guild’ of sorts, meaning that each species has a beak and bill adapted for a specific role in breaking down a carcass. They squabble a lot when it comes to food, but there is a sort of mutual dependence, or team effort, behind all of the competition and bickering.
Yeah the honey badger will thank the circle of life for the amazing food that they will receive
This should not come as a surprise because the up to 550 spotted hyenas in the Crater cannot possibly live of the remains of kills of 25 to 40 adult lions.

It is either heaven or hell after we all die and pray to God=Lord Jesus Christ that He saves us all from His judgement and from ending up in hell. That place isn't nice to spend all eternity. The unrepentant wrongdoers and the disbelievers end up there.
carnivores' life is even worse when compared to herbivores. they stay hungry if they can't find food and when they become old they die of hunger or other young ones kill them. whereas herbivores have only painful death

The hyenas left a full carcass? It must be really bad.

That smell would knock a buzzard off a gut pile.
Wonder what killed the hippo then just left it!
Maybe lions and then had to go back for the rest of the lions?
Either it was killed for it's tusks, killed fighting for a mate or just got sick and died.
No predators would take that long getting back.
Someone plz give those hyenas a paper towel to clean there faces sheeeshhh

When vulture is there u know the meat is rotting.. And then here comes the hyena.. Disgusting to the max... I wonder how honey badger gonna eat that crap
Vultures generally prefer fresher meat, actually, and they won’t touch a carcass that’s been exposed for more than four or five days. They are also extremely hygienic birds-the most hygienic of all birds of prey, in fact-, bathing and sunbathing daily, and spending a lot of time preening their feathers. Their stomach acids are among the most corrosive of all terrestrial vertebrates, an adaptation to their lifestyle as obligate scavengers; as a result, vultures act as ‘dead-ends’ for various pathogens/diseases found in carrion, including anthrax, rabies, botulism, Ebola, cholera, and the list goes on. Their strong stomach acids and digestive tracts essentially neutralize, or halt the spread of, these pathogens/diseases, thus making vultures nature’s own ‘disease control’ and ‘clean-up crew’, and therefore keystone species. :)
