3.0 s Capri crazy money tick-ford turbos the one getting there love the viewing thanks lads...
The 280 (it’s not a Brooklands as there’s no such thing), is gorgeous,, this one’s had some work done on it, various parts are missing. I don’t get this obsession with piles of service history. Yes, it “nice to see”, but as a mechanic and this is true for all my colleagues worldwide, none of us are concerned with what was done to the car xxx years ago, we always report on a car’s condition TODAY and this is what any prospective buyer should be concerned about
I bought my 1979 Capri 2.0 Ghia when it was 12 years old and just 30k on the clock for 250 quid! Fire-engine red and immaculate, but by 1991, nobody wanted them! Still the sexiest car I ever owned (The ONLY car girls ever turned to look at!) ahhh my younger days...sighs...
As usual old faithful keeping a watchful eye over proceedings.
The wife and I both had capris back then and we loved them
Little beauty 👌
great sportscar
Spent nearly 20 years on fords The Capri was the car I detested most for working on 😖
@@gordwesty6299 Hi ,still wasn’t my favourite 😕
If only dreem car
No such car as a 'Brooklands Capri.' It's a Capri 280. The End.
I agree.
The colour is Brooklands Green, isn't it ?
Well said.
That car I am sorry to say is a bit of a dog ! Resprayed , side mouldings missing , engine racing away mad at idle I know it possibly needs a session on the gas analyser and adjustment on the metering head and the throttle screw on the plenum chamber. Evidence of rust on the inner wings and slam panel. I suppose I am being harsh looks like it has done 141,000 miles and is 37 years old despite the E reg all Capri's were finished in 1986 !
