Much needed. Like a drink break. Irrespective of how long you've been at golf. Thanks Adam for reminding to go back to basics from time to time.

That last point is something I purposely did, when learning to play golf. Like everyone else, I started off slicing. I then exaggerated the “fixes” until I was hooking it. I strengthened my grip too much. I started swinging too flat. And, I released the club to the extreme. These extremes taught me soooo much about the golf swing, by learning what I needed to do to change path and face. I worked things out fairly quickly after that. Just as you said…. The worst thing people can do is to try and go from a slice, to a fairly straight ball. It NEVER works.

Really enjoyed this video - will take it to the practice ground tomorrow. Had a good couple of months golf and hcap cuts but in they last week it feels like I lost my swing and old bad habits crept in. This video looks like the reset I need. Thanks for posting the best content Adam 🙏

Good one. Another advice could be to stop this endless search for the perfect golf swing. Your swing will vary from hole 1 to 18 as you get tired, etc. But you must possess the skill to adapt your current swing to your body and mind conditions. Contact is the key!

When it comes to being intimidated by the ball, where you can’t focus on the swing, how about Ty Webb’s suggestion to Danny Noonan in the movie ‘Caddyshack’, to put on a blindfold then swing?

Thanks John, I’ll go with the Danny Noonan, “Be the ball”
