I was really touched by the word that Christ is not condemning me for my lack of joy. Rather, He hungers for me to experience abundant delight, and He asks that I not blame people or situations for my lack of delight in Him. Such wisdom and liberation.

Dear Veronica, I often ask the Lord, where is the joy? So my response is to exhort both you and I. Both the other two responses are truth, surrender and live your life with Jesus. HE HAS ALREADY DONE ALL FOR YOU and ME TO HAVE LIFE IN ABUNDANCE, INCLUDING JOY. But we have to walk in faith. Position ourselves to make our own what Jesus has already accomplished. The answer is simple really, I should open my mouth and start rejoicing, start praising God for Who He is, thanking Him. Feelings follow fact. So if I speak out thankfulness (from my mind, no feeling necessarily), I will start experiencing more thankfulness, etc. It is a principle, I believe. As one takes a step nearer to God, He jumps strides toward one. Opening one's mouth to speak is taking a step. May the Holy Spirit shine His light and guide you in this. Much blessings in our Lord.
