Graham, you're amazing! I've been helped so much by you, but I have no idea what "the old man" is. That's one of those things that I Christians throw around, like "God told me". I had a friend who had been a Christian for most of her life that had no idea she was hearing God. She thought he would speak audibly. After probably 20 years of church no one ever explained that. In casual conversation one day. I said something that helped her understand He speaks in other ways too, like in her own mind. I am in a process with God and myself too(old or new... whatever it is), and it's working. So I don't think I need to know what my old man is. Actually, I hrew up with narcissists who constantly try to amputate parts of your personality to better suit their egos, so killing a whole self is very disconcerting to me. I just wanted to vent about the vague terms, and I know I'm never the only one with an issue with something. I do appreciate you immensely though!

The invitation to conversation the prophetic word i always get is dont try to figure it out.
Just preach the word. Stop making stuff up.
The reason the world is so messed up is most preachers no long exposit scripture. They just tell silly stories and twist scripture. Making all of it about you and how you can prosper in this life. The bible is not about you. It’s about Christ. From Genesis to Revelation.
And what is it Christ did for you?
What happened in the garden of Eden?
Did you know Christ fixed what Adam did to mankind?
Now if you were not stuck in religion and the flesh, you might see that what the cross represents is far above what preachers have been teaching about it.
He died so we could experience heaven on earth. And it is pretty obvious to me Adam had that. Christ bought it back for us by paying for our sins. He took our punishment and set us free. We are no longer under the curse of sin and death but translated into the kingdom of his dear son. The love of God which Jesus redeemed us into.

The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Well now, If you paid attention to Jesus own words. You realize that the words he spoke were not his but the fathers who is in heaven. If you have read John, you should know that in the beginning was the word, the word was with God and the Word was God. By him were all things made. The word became flesh and dwelt among us.
Jesus told them heaven is in you.
Seek ye first the kingdom of heaven.
The holy spirit was no longer dealing with men through the flesh as in the old testament. The old was passed away. The law showed man he could not fullfill the law through the flesh. Jesus fullfilled it for us.
Now the holy spirit dwells within. Therefore you cannot be separated from him. Only in your mind. But the mind has to be renewed from its old ways of thinking heaven is a long ways away. Nope. Jesus said the earth is his footstool and heaven his throne.
Receiving the holy spirit is the new birth. Just as Adam was given life through Gods own breath. So is the breath of the Holy spirit bringing new life to the inward man. This inward man received the blessings. the outward man will parish for it is not born of God. Its from the temporal realm.
Now Jesus said to the religious ones at the time. You refuse to enter in thereby keeping others out.
They thought they could please God through the flesh. Not true. The curse of the law came through Adam for he had given his spiritual leadership to the serpent which actually was a medicine man or shamen in the concordance.
With these things in mind. Start fresh. Look at the bible in a new light.
Read the new testament dividing the religious ones from the sheep.
Remember the promise given of a savior in the garden which was to undo that which Adam had done. Remembering the words of Jesus at the cross of, it is finished.
This is why it is called the glorious gospel of grace. Grace which he before ordained that we should walk in before the foundation of the world by the lamb slain before the foundation of the world. Keep in mind also that God speaks things into being as though they are. This is the walk of faith, not going by sight. For when Adam fell he then walked by sight and the rest did also. The law of sin and death that we have been redeemed from through Gods own work on the cross. We are not waiting for judgement. We were judged at the cross. He took our punishment for us, we are born again and we received a new inheritance not of flesh but through the spirit which is far better than what our parents could ever give. They are the promises of God because he now sees us as new creations.
How could the old covenant be better than the new one?
The renewing of the mind is a hard one though. You were loved, are loved and forever will be loved no matter what you have done or do. If you have the holy spirit you really dont want to sin though we still do.
