My oldest had colic for over six months after he was born, my poor babe, and I didn't realize until just now that that's actually when I started meditating and have been meditating every day since. The only thing that made him feel better was if I would mindfully and purposefully walk with him while gently bouncing him and singing--incredibly exhausting, yes, and I wouldn't have changed it for the world. We did this together throughout the days and the nights. That really instructed how I continued to parent my kids from then on, and it's something that has permeated my life ever since. He's almost 20 now, so I guess I'm not as new to this whole meditation thing as I thought, thank you! 🕊️♥️🤲
How does a super sensitive person develop equanimity? It’s so incredibly difficult for those of us who are wired that way. I do find space and awareness in my meditation, but it’s hard to maintain as I go through my day. I try to stay curious about what arises…
