This isn’t as expensive until you get that black roof option which I believe many people are gonna skip out on but it’s nice to have that option incase you really wanna stand out from other competitors. My only concern with the explorer is reliability. These are nice don’t get me wrong but it just seems like these never stop getting recalled for a problem. Hopefully they resolved everything for 2025 and it’s a better made product.
Great video and thanks for sharing. I am planning on getting the 25" ST in the next month or so. I love that it rides quieter than the 23" ST. I do not like the new wheels and the fact that they are still 21's. That makes for very expensive and a limited selection of tires in the future. Just my opinion, but now way would I pay 5k for the black roof option and feel like that is ridiculous to even put out there as an option for that price. But the power of these things is something to be desired. It is an animal out on the road, especially up in the mountains. And if you put a tune on it, WOW!! Also, if you wanna run the piss outta someone else's, then go do the ST Experience that comes with the purchase. They encourage you to push it to the limit, and it is a blast!!
Does this have a secondary display in front of the digital dials? You can see it around 5:00 but it's never mentioned in the whole video. What's it for?
@@diesel6916 that's why i like the cheaper ST although id want the bigger engine so its between bigger engine or no sunroof given how they make em and lump the options on. I just think its gotten outta hand with sunroofs lol gotta be to save on aluminum but

I don't know about the ford explorer. We seen one today we went to aching ford in winder and I just don't like their grills and it's too small honestly
Price is ridiculous. Just got out of our 23 ST for a Palisades Calligraphy. Fun to drive but it was a quality nightmare. To be seen if Ford has addressed the quality issues that started during the pandemic.
@@1976axerhand LOL. They sold 200k Telluride and Palisades. There are no mass recalls on either engine or transmission. Ford, on the other hand, just issued a recall on Eco-Boost engines- including the Explorer ST. My ST was a quality mess. Rear axle mfg out of spec, failing infotainment/backup camera, electrical problems, interior materials that fall apart with Ford claiming wear/tear. The Eco-boost engine always sounded off and would at times put out different exhaust fumes. However, never consistent and couldn’t be replicated. This recall makes me smile knowing I gave it back at lease end. Every mfg has issues and I think pandemic made things worse. So, until I see a track record on this new Explorer, I’m suspect. But hey, if you want one I wish you all the luck with it…xD
@@sentryion3106 you can’t even get a Grand Highlander due to quality problems and a stop mfg order. Honda has great track record on quality- agree 100%. However, Hyundai also ranks good on quality (I think JD had them 3 on initial and 10 on reliability, still way above Ford- which is way at bottom) and you get a lot more for money. I leased it, have a 50k bumper to bumper and 100k power train. If some problem it won’t be out of my pocket.
@@Kellettcj71hyundai/kia have a lot of recalls. I like the styling and what Ford has done, but Ford/Lincoln have had a terrible run when it comes to recalls and vehicles issues right out of the gate.

Incoming recall in 3.2.1
Damn that's quick. And sounds good.

$66k for the recall trim-level, that's reasonable.
It’s very nice!!!
The truth is that all car manufacturers are converging in quality. The difference is diminishing rapidly.
I like it ❤

Looks like you're matching with the paint color & ST badge lol.. great review as always!
😂 thanks!
It's good to know that they still include a spare tire.
The nice thing about the ST line with the 300hp is no sunroof option. I don’t like sunroofs lol
Twin Panel Moonroof is available as a $1,695 Option
Me neither. They leak ans make noises grrrrr

Thanks, will do!
Ford explorer is so good. One thing about this car is the best price
Black grill and badge but the blue Ford logo?
Why pay $5k for the roof when you can just get a black color 🤔 😂
👍👍😂
When are they going to eliminate the third row for that trim
Can you test drive Ford explorer 2025 on Night? Thank you.
We are hoping Ford can give us one for a week soon 👍
@@CarConfections yup. thanks for your reply. I'm looking forward your test.
When will you guys be doing a 2025 4 runner?
Hopefully before the end of the year but the launch been delayed

Nice
$66,000 plus for a Ford??? This is crazy! $5,000 for a two tone, there should be a law against that.
😂😂😂
If you're broke just say that..🙄
Just say you can’t afford one.
No is forcing u to order that option
I can afford a Bentley and I wouldn’t pay 66k for a ford explorer. I’d get an X5 bmw for that amount

Yall i boight a 2023 ST. At 5k transmission went out at 14k engine knocking. Smh unacceptable
18:20 There’s an I-95 in Michigan???
I was thinking the same thing. I-95 runs from Maine to Florida.
Cars becoming unattainable is crazy and sad 😔 something that we all love wow just wow
I always love to get a ford explorer but afraid of the reliability so I skip it and buying a Toyota brand instead 😂
400 hp mean V6 ??
Twin-turbo V6.
5000 for only black roof?
Passenger version of a Police car/truck? 🤔

Mazda CX90 is dominating the segment
In what way is slow selling Mazda dominating anything?
Yes in your dreams!
You sure about that, Kia telluride still on top following the Toyota grand highlander as second place. CX90 at 3rd .
I feel like 5k for a black roof is a little too expensive considering it’s just paint. Unless the roof area is a whole different panel that’s black…
400HP only if you use expensive Super Unleaded gas (93 or so octane)...LOL!

Is Ford insane?? $66,000.00?
trash as interior for the money. basic as screen and little
Interior still a letdown. This version should’ve come out 4-5 years ago. Seriously.
American cars👎
It is overpriced though. I'll admit that. Ford overprices their new vehicles a bit which is a deterrent to potential new car buyers
