I can't believe there was no sin for Abigail trying to pet the hog. I mean a counselor that works on a camp in a forest should have at least the basic knowledge that you don't pet baby hogs, because there will be a mother nearby. That pissed me off so much.
Tell me about it. I know fuck all about wilderness survival, to the point of sleeping in the car last time I was forced to go tent camping, but even I know you don't go petting wildlife.
@@koibitothescrublord4977 This is a video ridiculing ridiculous shit that happens in the game. Hell, this entire channel is based off of that concept. Dartigan often uses common sense to point out goofy things. Makes sense the people watching the videos would do the same. Not petting a wild hog is common sense.
@@koibitothescrublord4977 I see my opinion really touched you. Sorry, bro, try to stay positive instead of being whatever you're representing right now. :)
They even indirectly try to make Ryan and Laura a couple because Laura flirted with Ryan and then the biting Ryan scene. Also Dylan thinking him and Kaitlyn have no shot with Ryan because Laura is more of his type.
@@andrebryant5081 I think that entire thing was very one sided, Laura just going along and not caring. Ryan was the one showing interest, Laura was more worried about hurting another person with her decisions and getting people involved then biting out of love for Ryan. It's heavily implied Ryan has a lot of confusion with his life and other parts of him, even who he likes and his sexuality.
Good point - for me though, it was so goddamn dark throughout the whole game that I felt I never really saw what the werewolves looked like at all. I kept checking if I'd turned down the screen brightness by accident.
I think they just didn’t think it thru because his eyes were white and if you noticed all of the wolves had different colored eyes but only silas’ were white
Eliza felt terribly underutilized in the game. Unlike the previous horror hosts, she was not just a commentator or a mental projection, but an actual character unto herself. She had an agenda. She wanted to push you toward a certain path, killing the Hacketts and sparing Silas. What a fascinating twist that could have been, if they had been more subtle about it. Imagine going through the game following her advice, only to find that in the end you got a whole bunch of the counselors killed too. And then knowing that if you played again, she'd actually be actively working against you. You'd have to watch her advice carefully to know what *not* to do, and try to work out your own path. She could have done so much more. Her ghost shows up multiple times throughout the game, but all she does is look creepy while whispering a few unspecific messages on the phone and saying people's names. What if there was a way you could have found out that she was the one who put the idea in Caleb and Kaylee's heads that they should be able to run free once all the kids and counselors were gone after the end of camp? What if she was the one who clued Chris in on what happened to Laura and Max? Perhaps by making his phone glitch and replay Laura's message? On another note, it's sad that the final lodge battle is so limited in its scope after the game takes the time to build it up. Only Caleb actually attacks. It is well known by now that the best way to allow certain characters to live is to get them infected and then wait for them to disappear for the story. What if there was a cost to doing it that way, though? If you had to also survive against Nick, Dylan, and so on, depending on who got infected.
In UD the scenes made sense with the DR at the end because you realized who the DR was talking to. The brother who set the whole thing up thus giving the store another layer because you could see how fractured his mind was after the deaths of his sisters. With Eliza you never know if she’s talking to you or a character just to find out it’s been the player she’s talking to which makes no sense. and then the podcast getting evidence from who knows where
@@randypence6289 i always chalked it up to Emma sending it to the podcast sense she is the only one of the cast to get name dropped although she still gets name dropped even if dead so im guessing it was Ryan but again thats just a guess given the material of the game
Yeah, that would be cool. It definitely would have been better if the hag could only communicate with characters infected with lycanthropy, to conceptualize her as the pith of the curse, the sapient intent at its heart which is subtly driving the infected towards the destruction of the hacketts - rather than just having her be a separate supernatural phenomena floating around being vaguely creepy. It's just more tidy narratively speaking.
to be fair, eliza’s tarot card tells you to cut off dylan’s hand, even though we now know that the best thing to do is to let him get infected so he can survive the night and keep his hand. i like to think that the card shows us to amputate because it is the only way to save dylan without killing silas, which is eliza’s goal.
35:30 The biggest Flaw: The Hacketts had ELETRCIS FENCE-CELLS and an ENTIRE POLICE STATION with Cells... and they locked Chris witch 2 tiny Chains in the Attic?????
Yeah why not lock the kids in the electrified cages if you can’t use the enter cage and put Chris in the jail cell simple enough. If the kids have a problem with that then that proves that they need to be put down or in this case just Caleb since killing him would cure his sister and Chris
@@vegas_party_animal7737 i mean theorically yes but i don’t think chris would agree to kill his own son especially since the family still can find silas.
I felt like they released this game earlier than what they should have. Not only because of the various glitches but also because the story seemed incomplete. Until dawn was a masterpiece, but this really felt short of expectations. Also, when they bragged about how many unique endings there were and then it all turned out to just be different variations of a podcast, that was super disappointing. I had hoped that we would get something a little bit more.
The only ending that was worth doing a playthrough is turning everyone werewolf. But in the end they still kinda flubbed it cuz they just shut down the camp. Instead of having some weird place where the kids and hackett family have to now live there until next moon.
Yes I recall that the release date was originally supposed to be in October. But it was released in June. What the hell. Definitely an unpolished game, but I still enjoyed playing it. Also, online mode doesn't work on my game
this is way more complex than Until Dawn. Of course it is almost the same game with the same clichés, but Until Dawn has like a maybe a few dozen outcomes, this one has almost 200. Also the characters here are imo way better. Until Dawn has some fortes, for example imo there is more sense to the exploration parts there. Also the choices in this game are way more complicated. You can shoot your own friends, you can side with Silas or the Hacketts, or none of them, etc. You can shape the story much more.
I wouldn't say until dawn was a masterpiece, but yeah the main flaws in the quarry likely had a lot to do with rush. Still, both great games, and the quarry definitely improved some of the flaws I saw in Until Dawn (even though, in other ways, it's worse than the predecessor)
One of the biggest sin is when they go to the junkyard, trying to fix the van, you see them open car hoods clearly looking for some parts. ( either for a fuel line or the rotor arm ) ( Kaitlyn would know because she's the one telling Jacob removing those parts would render a car useless ) Then you find the car in great condition, ( lights are still on ) you get attacked by the werewolf, the car gets dropped, and now undrivable. But they don't even check the hood! For the parts they came to the junkyard for lol! They just leave, I was speechless at the screen, jaw on the floor.
I'd say the biggest "sin" in regard to junkyard, is that the gates are wide open after hours and there aren't a small pack, or even a pair, of vicious dogs wandering around to fend off intruders.
The bigger sin is going to the junkyard in the first place, car parts aren't universal plus if the engine blew theres literally NOTHING they can do for that car it was a goner XD
@@david_davidson Interesting, actually, no dogs in the whole area, probably they don't get along with werewolves or infected people in the first place. And Caleb working at there when it's not season. Or they just hunt them first when turned, bc they are territorial?(And there was a flyer about missing dog at the station too, probably for hinting this.)
i think emma might have been making fun of jacob for saying "wheel-barrel" instead of wheelbarrow. there's just no way she had no idea what a wheel barrow is and the writers that was a worth while line to include
a few thoughts: - the moment they mentioned that the summer camp is two months long and you realize that a full moon happens typically every 29 days, the story falls apart. - this has been going on for SIX YEARS and they STILL don't have a sure-fire way to control the family members who turn on a full moon. even with electrified fences that they put nick into but let the others run free??? - they've been looking for silas for six-ish years and never once thought to look in the place where his home burned down. - the characters become useless after they pass their possible death scene. - the plot with jacob sabotaging the car goes nowhere and is never mentioned again. - apparently the streamer mode to use non-copyright music doesn't work. it's all copyright music. - the podcast at the end is awful.
About the fences: i thought that Gaming Harry menyioned that some of the werewolfs consented to locking themselves up but there were others (like caleb and kaiylee, probably spelled that wrong, sorry) who just wanted to do what they wanted when the full moon came They didn't care about the safety of others + consequences afterwards
@@MarcoStassen99 from what i understand, they don't own the music or have rights to it so it can still be claimed even if it is different than the original soundtrack.
It would be a mediorce ending, but the game developers should have allowed for an “ending” where you could have walked through the woods and back to the main road
That's my biggest problem about the quarry. You have the option to retrieve the rotar arm and find cars in the junk yard and not once do you get a prompt to escape. Why did I gi to the trouble to get the rotar arm if I can't fix the van later, you get the opportunity to confess to Emma about your plan and NOT fix the van?
they explain that its about a 4 hour walk back to any form of civilisation. and with the hungry werewolves out in the woods they wouldn't have made it past the tree line
I'm surprised that you didn't sin the fact that: -Kaylee is impossible to save while you can save Caleb -If Ryan is bitten by Laura, Werewolf Chris will still kill him. -That despite finding evidence that the Hackett's spent thousands on electrified cages, it doesn't explain why neither Chris, Caleb, nor Kaylee put themselves in there and why Chris used chains in the same house the electrified cages are. -Never explains why Silas was a werewolf to begin with. -The purpose of the Hackett family tree and legacy if the events that caused this happened 6 years prior. (Unless there was something I missed that made a further connection to the gypsy women.)
Caleb and Kaylee apparently weren't locked up because, while they normally would be, they ran away so that they could become werewolves and attract outside attention because they wanted the whole nightmare to be over (i.e. they were dangerously stupid)
Don't forget the zip line. You either jump for it, even though the view makes it seem like more a jump in the lake, or "'finish realing it" and it's just there instantly with no realing.
•Werewolf Chris kills infected Ryan by knocking the shotgun into his face, instead of biting/eating him. •There’s a note in the game which explains why caleb and kaylee were free, as they stated they were fed up of being locked up in cages or something like that. Still pretty dumb but Tbf if they stayed away from their family they had no way of knowing the counseleors were still at camp.
Yeah, it would have only made sense if the question was alright so what should I say Nick was attacked by a wolf or a bear because obviously I can’t say a monster
idk, Ryan was giving off autism vibes or something to me, sometimes people like that need to practice things before they do it. He obviously couldn't just say werewolves to the responder, but something like "Guy got attacked by an animal in the woods, need help" probably would've been sufficient.
Dude, just the way they talked when they were about to call. Like wtf? The writers clearly tried to be funny and cliché, but instead they just made the 2 dudes comes off incredibly retrded!
@@soundstorm7 if the lake was more murky I would agree with you. But it's clear enough for Jacob to see at night, the body would be most visible during the day
I’m going to make my own sin list for this video (Will be edited) 11:50 She was making fun of him for saying wheelbarrel instead of Wheelbarrow 12:50 He looks for Silas here when he is human 19:49 The hunters heard them over the radio 21:43 You called Nick Nate 27:39 Chris most likely told the counselors that he wouldn’t be there and went to his moms house 30:08 You called Max Laura’s brother 30:51 The werewolf curse heals any injury no matter what. That’s why she is able to bite Ryan later to heal him. 31:16 Called Dylan Dwane 31:52 He had a Radio he probably called for them 32:33 In a piece of evidence you see a note how Kaylee wants to be released from the house and is sick of being stuck in there 34:05 Adding a sin for you sinning the best line in the game 34:33 To be honest it’s just common sense that Laura would think biting him would pass on the curse since she is already infected therefore the curse is in her blood, saliva, or something like that and she knows it spreads through bites 35:26 Chris was probably only broke through then because Laura and Ryan aggravated or awoke him at that moment 35:44 All the werewolf blood on him has either gotten wiped off on accident or his skin sorta just absorbed it 36:18 Again, Kaylee wrote a note to Constance that they wanted to be let free for one night as they were sick of being either chained or kept in cages 37:59 She quite literally says that she is gonna try and find him right before getting blown up and dying in the fire. And if you didn’t dodge the spear she would die saying that she would wait for him at the carnival and still ends up dying. 38:43 He probably got another cop car either from another police station or already just had a backup one
finally someone said it!! half the stuff he mentions as a sin can be found through evidence or paying attention, thats what makes the evidence and exploration so important
The thing that takes points away is how relatively calm everyone is about the situation. Like they're not *calm* but they're definitely not as afraid as they should be lol
I like the idea of the Hackett's being long time victims of the curse and being desperate to end it, but the game falls flat since only Chris and Sheriff Rami are even remotely sympathetic. Caleb and Kaylee are barely characters and all we know about them is that they're dumb as rocks while Jeb and the grandparents just come off as Psychotic (tho I do appreciate the point about them being somewhat justified in attacking Laura and Ryan after they broke in and killed Constance). - I think exploring the family and how different members cope with the curse is super interesting and wish the game did more with that
Bobby was like the favourite child who did what he was told by his parents. Travis actually got the family to not harm people, the Hikers and journalists were killed by the Hacketts, so the family has a murderous backstory. The reason camp still goes on is to make money to keep them sustainable while dealing with their curse, they have a lot of financial problems cause of this curse and Caleb and Kaylee while not having much to go off seem to be very rebellious teens, refusing to be locked up when there are no civilians around etc.
I’d say they were still pretty sympathetic. Constance and Jed only became hostile AFTER Laura murdered their granddaughter. They had wanted to help the councilors up to that point. As the video points out, most of the bad things that happens was Laura’s fault. (Bobby btw is believed to be mentally disabled. )
Well, we do learn that Haylee was a kind girl who thought Silas was being kept prisoner and tried to save him. Caleb helped her, and thus is how he got bit and infected.
The monster is supposed to be a werewolf but why does look like the wendigo honestly they should have made this into a until dawn 2 have it take place a few years after the first game and have the mountain and the lodge be rebuilt and turned into a summer camp after what happened in the first game and have campers and counselors come to the camp as a trail experience to gain investors and make the camp official have wendigo josh appear in the first game along side new wendigos and have some of the original survivors of the first game come back to deal with wendigo josh once and for all and your choices while playing the game effect not only the ending but how the story plays out you know make your own decisions have alternate outcomes and boom I just made a better game than the Quarry
@@diegosbae5534 the same way mass effect and the walking dead did. You keep the files on your ps4/5/pc then when you put in the new game it reads your choices from the previous game so that the new one is effected
9:48 Literally all you'd have to do is end camp a night or two earlier. Then that way if something DOES go wrong, you have time to figure out a plan to get everyone to safety. It seems maybe the entire Hackett family lacks common sense.
This game just felt so rushed and it had so much potential. The concept is really interesting and it has a lot of hidden details but it could’ve easily been made into an Until Dawn 2 if they spent more time on it and just adjusted the timeline to fit the first game
Calling it the quarry was a safer bet tho. If they called it until dawn 2 and it flopped, then suddenly their most critically acclaimed game is put in a worse light, which they likely don’t want
Agreed. My biggest complaint is that Until Dawn had more interactions than cutscenes making it extremely enjoyable both the story and the interactions. Whereas this game seemed like 95% cutscenes. When it was finally interactions it was like “tap X” just to be followed by another hour of talking. I found myself turning it off in the middle of cutscenes many times because it felt never ending and like I was watching an 8 hour movie.
@@21tyson55 Same, I played Detroit Become Human right before The Quarry and was shocked by how little gameplay there actually is in comparison. And a lot of times you only need to walk forward for a minute to trigger next cutscene, it's still fun but damn a year more in development for more gameplay mechanics would have been a blessing.
22:34 That’s what I hate about these games. The devs want us to save everyone, but what’s the point of saving the characters if some/most of them fade into the background after their first scripted deaths or “pivotal moments” like you said? I also hate how some characters are easily killable and disappear (as you said) while others are invincible because they can’t die till the very end. Feels like the devs are lying whenever they say “anyone can be the hero.”
And then there’s no real changes to the ending based on who alive/dead/infected. Just a 1-2 sentence blerb of their status. And then a pointless podcast. At least Until Dawn gave us govt recorded interviews with survivors (who asked about their friends status ) or special ops going into the area and seeing what happened
like the salim in the last game who I'm fairly certain you can't fucking kill he's terrorist surrounded by us army and killed several members yet the game kills one character if he tries to kill him it really feels like the devs made him the protagonist of reality for fun felating him I dunno
@@jaytonius560 kinda my point the group he was with didn't really inspire confidence of well not being total jackasses and yeah salim my bad wasn't sure how to spell it either way an outsider wouldn't know that and he did shoot up your men so completely justified but no game takes his side hard to the point of ridiculousness
Another sin to add: At the shooting scene I shot the bottles instead of the watermelons as Nick, but Kaitlyn still "shoots" the bottles afterwards. The bottles were still gone, she just shot at the air, which played a glass shattering animation, despite the bottles still being gone
The one thing that really bugged me about this curse stuff, is that if a full moon is every month, and camp has been happening for two months....why all the hullabaloo at the end of camp??? This curse is STUPIDLY MANAGEABLE, WHY ALL THE PANIC. WHY IS THERE CAMP IN THE FIRST PLACE Edit: 27:38 and 28:59 holy shit he actually talked about it, thank you! No one i watched picked up on that and it drove me nuts! Thank you!
The family has MAJOR finance issues and the camp is their best way to make money to sustain themselves as well as afford the things needed to keep everyone safe. Also it's mentioned they had to all bunker down/sleepover together (kids and councellors) on one night of camp.
@@backpack_hermit25 i guess i missed that in the playthrough's i watched...but when Chris talks to them about staying inside for the night, they act as if its the first time they've heard of it, so its why it confused me in the first place. Either way, this curse seems stupidly manageable and they fumbled the ball hard.
@@taylormiconi3993 The first one was more planned, they knew kids would be there, but for this one it was heavily unexpected and they are paranoid of them staying because Kaylee and Caleb snuck out instead of turning themsleves in to the family to be contained because they are sick of being held captive.
@@backpack_hermit25 that makes sense, but i feel like so much could have been avoided in the first place. Like, yes, leave the circus kid alone, but also, if this is just one night and its always on the full moon, and its been 6 YEARS, you guys should have better planning than that. In fact, if you just need to stay inside for the night, there shouldnt have been so much panicking in the first place. All of the dumb for no reason with such a manageable curse
17:39 - 18:08 Thank you for sinning this part. That scene was really stupid and cringy. Seriously how hard was it to say " Hey my friends and I are being attacked and one of us is severely injured. Please send help!" These characters are stupid.
Nah, the not-so-teen cast are recognizable outside of Justice Smith. Most anyone who grew up and was watching disney channel between like 2000 and 2012 would recognize Brenda Song since she was in practically every episode of both Suite Life series. The girl who played Emma was a major member of the supporting cast on the Orville. And Ariel Winter literally won 4 group awards for Outstanding Ensemble on Modern Family. I'll give you the rest being basically nobodies, but those three are all decently well known in their own right, especially Ariel Winter.
You literally have cages designed specifically to keep werewolves in! Why would Chris, Caleb, or Kaylee EVER be a concern!? - Also, I appreciate you pointing out that Ryan has a good argument against Laura killing Chris since the latter actually took measures to not hurt anyone, Sheriff Rami told her not to go to the camp (granted, he could have made up a story about Chris not being there, but still), and she got herself mixed into this mess by breaking into the dude's house.
Caleb and Kaylee would normally be in the cages or otherwise locked up, they deliberately left before this could happen in the hopes that the outside world would discover the werewolf problem and maybe kill them. They're really, really stupid.
@@scytheseven9173 Tying in with my other comment about exploring the Hackett family and how they try to cope with the curse, I wish Caleb and Kaylee had actual on screen time if only to see the rest of their family react to their stupid decisions. Given that the whole curse and subsequent 6 years of heartache were their fault, I could buy the rest of the family being _very_ frustrated and even borderline abusive towards them
Just going off how Laura is, I don't think she would've listened to anything he said. In Laura's mind, she called so they were in the clear. She blew off Max asking if she actuall spoke with Chris or left a message and her whole 'What's the difference?' then calling him a dick for rightfully just being frustrated spoke volumes about her character. Honestly, I just can't see Laura as a hero. She's responsible for Max getting infected and never takes accountability for anything. Chris took measures to keep himself away and she ignores that. Instead, she runs through the camp guns blazing that Chris is the cause of all the counselors getting bitten. Even though, while in the jail, Travis DID tell her he was hunting the original werewolf to put an end to all of it and asked her help. She doesn't see any of the other werewolves as people, except for Max. She gets pissed at Ryan and berates him if he turns down the bite. She's constantly snapping at Max and he's always apologizing to her for being irritated with her fuck ups. She said bring tools..he shows up with two and she about started arguing with him about not having brought the whole tool box? So if the counselors had listened to her...they'd still be infected, with the exception of Emma if she was bitten by Max instead of Nick. Caleb and Silas were the werewolves infecting everyone. Did she honestly expect that the right thing to do was for Travis to just let Max go while he was infected? Risk him killing others? His methods of doing it needed work but it doesn't take a genius to figure out Travis was doing them a solid by keeping them in the jail versus killing them or writing it off as not his problem. They knew he was a werewolf, Travis didn't deny it. Not once did she stop and own up to how her own actions and pushiness forced Travis' hand and landed them in their predicatment. Its someone else's fault all the time with her. If you eavesdrop on Chris' call, there's info there that makes it appear that Caleb never showed up to turn himself in to his family.
@@GLoLChibs You pretty much summarized Laura's (and for that matter, almost every one of the female characters in this game AND almost every t.v. and film made in the 21st century) perfectly. Laura = overindulged, c*nt who feels no culpability, loyalty, compassion, or understanding for anyone, or their motives, but EXPECTS everyone to feel the exact opposite to her and her needs. It's a hypocrisy that "Hollywood" (eg. ALL forms of influential media) has been working @ for decades. I'd expand on the bigger picture of it all, but suffice to say, the character flaws you've observed here are not limited to this character, this game, or even this medium. One could say that it's a "man-made" virus and the only cure would be a time machine.
@@david_davidson Kaitlyn and Abigail were pretty enjoyable characters. I really hated what they did with the Abigail/Nick angle- Consensus of the counselors was that Nick was really sweet and shy, yet all the interactions with him are pretty much him being a dick towards Abigail because of the infection, setting up Abigail to be sympathized with. Meanwhile, Laura is the only character not at all affected by the infection until she wolfed out. Even in UD, while Jess was annoying and entitled, she was remorseful for what they did to Hannah and Beth. We did get to see that part of her, and Ashely was too. Ashley was just a super flake when it came to Chris and probably one of the most manipulative characters in that title. So aside from Laura, I found TQ's female cast much more likeable than UD or the DPA.

No bc if all supermassive games take place in the same universe America has to be stressed TM between the Wendigos, Vamoire Aliens they know about in Iraq and the Werewolves 😂
I'm sorry Dartigan, but as someone who do a little sidework as an UberEats driver, I can absolutely guarantee you that - Unless (maybe) you are rich enough to pay for AT&T services - no bars is a very VERY common ground while driving around... A lot of places I have to go loses internet signal while I am driving... I believe this probably wouldn't happen with AT&T (not sure) because they have a bigger coverage or whatever, but I promise you I tried all the small ones and they all lose signal... So, I dont believe this will be something that will be classified as "past thing" anytime soon...
I have Verizon and literally just spent the weekend camping somewhere with no service whatsoever. You have to drive a few miles away from the campsite to get a single bar and I couldn’t stop thinking of this game when I was there 😂
To be fair, this guy didn’t seem to pay much attention to the game. He called Nick “Nate” and Dylan “Dwayne” multiple times, and the body is clearly hinted to be one of the missing hikers. Maybe the “sin” would be that so much isn’t memorable, but it’s a little sloppy too.
Biggest sin for me was the number of times someone would enter a room/building after being attacked or fleeing a pursuer and LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN. Whatever these supposed camp counselors were paid, it was too much.
I always like people's first criticism of horror movies/games is that how can people not have Signals on their phones in a world so interconnected? Simple answer can lie in one thing: Location of Cell Towers Where I work is a construction site just on the edge of my town, there are some areas of this site where you lose signal, geography places an important role and even to this day, many rural areas lack phone signals and broadband connectivity so it is extremely realistic/possible in this century that people who travel to isolated areas can lose phone signal. Also there are such things as jammers too which can jam phone signals. Horror cliche answered.
Most kids, or people who don't travel to more isolated areas actually are baffled when they only get TWO bars on their phone. I think what you are dealing with here are a few people who are mystified by how the world "changes" the moment they stray too far from mom's basement. 😄
When I go hunting with my dad, the location we hunt has no cell service for AT&T. But some of the other hunters have Verizon and they get plenty of cell service there.
And it kinda makes sense in the game: -The camp is in a forest and forests usually block signal -no cell towers in the area -Chris Hackett doesn't allow phones in the camp, so there would be no reason to put cell towers to have internet -if there were cell towers, people would call for help when a werewolf attacked someone, resulting in a bunch of cops showing up with regular weapons so the werewolfs would kill/infect them.
What's really dumb about Dylan suggesting to cut off Nick's arm is if you ask him why you should cut it, he says that he doesn't know he's not a doctor. WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU SUGGEST CUTTING OFF HIS ARM THEN??
I disagree because when a body part is infected, in order for the infection not to spread you will need to cut off that specific body part. I’m no doctor but I think this should be basic knowledge everyone knows (even if it needs to be taught to people.) Also with Dylan I think it’s obvious that he’s skeptical and says/does stuff when in a moment of panic. Proof is when he and Ryan go to the radio shack and after Dylan gets attacked by Caleb I believe, he tells Ryan to cut off his arm but instantly regrets it afterwards. He also brings it up at least one other time after that too about how Ryan shouldn’t have cut off his arm. What’s actually dumb is Ryan who saw Bobby cut off his finger when Nick bit him, but not say anything to anyone about that or think that there’s something wrong with Nick. What’s also dumb is how nobody pays attention to Nick randomly healing either (thanks to the werewolf curse.)
@@ningmushii also if you don't shoot Bobby Ryan literally sees him shoot his finger off so the whole choice for Ryan was dumb there i like nick and abi that whole possible relationship was just shat on do to wanting more wolves in the game
Surely if Chris told the counsellors they to stay inside because Open Hunting season starts (which is kind of true) and if they wander about in the woods they’re likely to get shot they would have been more likely to comply?
Agreed, if he would've gave the counselors some sort of excuse instead of giving them zero explanation of why it is important for them to stay inside the lodge, they might have been more obedient
Yeah, I noticed that almost every character is an expy of an Until Dawn character. Emma is basically Jessica and Emily combined, Kaitlin is basically Sam, Abigail is definitely Ashley, Jacob and Nick have Chris and Mike's traits divided among them, Dylan is, in a way, Josh, and Ryan is basically Matt, the token brown voice of reason. That makes Officer Travis Hackett a determinate version of the Flamethrower Guy. I always thought that Travis Hackett looked like a Woody Doll come to life and life-size.
Not sure about about Jacob and Nick splitting Chris and Mike's traits. Jacob feels more like Mike's horny macho act cranked to 11 and Nick comes off more as Chris's naive guy with crush.
Dylan is more of a Chris , while Nick would be more like Matt since they are wasted potential disappearing for majority for the game, Jacob is more of his own character rather than Mike they have nothing in common except being white males with dark hair. Ryan is like Mike since they both have many playable segments & have plot armor, they even have somewhat the same scene when Ryan is trying to save Nick & Mike trying to save Jessica.
Actually the Body in the lake is one of the 2 missing Hikers the game does tell you who he is, and the Hackett’s aren’t opposed to killing people to keep their secret, Constance says no blood so they have killed before and Travis covered it up to cover for his family, the Hackets are no saints specially Bobby, Constance, and Jed. Travis and Chris seem like the love there families and actually care about people while the rest of their family just wants to keep it quiet. Kaylee writes a letter to her grandmother you can find in chapter 9 saying they should just show people. My guess is this letter is the reason they didn’t want to kill any of the counselors at first.
The body in the water is one of the missing campers. The Hacketts were hiding evidence of werewolves' attacks. The kids or counselors didn't come across them because there was a strict no swimming in the lake rule, there are a lot of clues on that in the game. Also, tha cars of the victims were disposed of in the scrapyard where they had shady bookkeeping and Travis helped as well. If Abby is dead and Emma is infected, I assume no one will give Kathylin the silver shells in the final chase in the lodge, so she matters.
It was the male missing hiker, who likely was a werewolf and killed by the Hacketts. Although hiding the body in the lake makes zero sense if it was the Hacketts who put him there. The sign says no swimming without supervision, so there was still swimming. The only car we can confirm they scrapped was Max's car given to them by Travis as an "abandoned car". You don't need the silver shells/Abi or Emma if you have the stuffed bunny toy from an earlier chapter. You can lock the werewolf up in the freezer then. If Kaitlyn or Dylan is infected, you can survive that way as well. Abi is irrelevant plot-wise even if she survives Nick, unless Emma is dead or infected/no stuffed bunny retrieved/no infected Kaitlyn or Dylan. And even then, you gotta make the shot for it to matter. So I suppose, yes, there's a small possibility she can matter at the end. Otherwise she has nothing to do, just like Emma and Jacob.
The game absolutely has a lot of work and quality put into it, and I can respect that. However, the animation and characters felt *way* worse this time around, and nothing really felt like it had impact in terms of animation. That being said, it’s a far cry better then the “Dark Pictures” anthology, and I can at least say I had a fun time laughing at the unlikeability of the characters.
I kinda wish the characters were more likable since it builds up the desire to keep them alive (tho there is some catharsis in seeing Jacob and his frat boy butt getting killed off) - And yeah, the animation in this game left so much to be desired. I lost count of how many times I was cringing and wondering why everyone's mouth looked like a rubber sock flapping over a blower
@@jameswest6232 i think these were the best characters they have made, they were all loveable for me. Way more loveable then until Dawns cast... Sam and Chris were the only likeable characters and Mike was the only one with some actual development and writing. Ashley just whined and hid behind Chris and then possibly stabs him in the back and kills him. Emily (despite being my fave character in the game) I can get being hella unlikeable she is a bitch but she's a badass so I love her dearly. Sam was bland as hell, she just was the typical nice girl all the way through with absolutely no depth to her, Jessica went bye bye most of the game and was too shaken up to say anything or get any character growth, Matt was irrelevant in fact i almost forgot he existed till now... Josh had the deepest writing and Mike had actual somewhat writing as he became a protector and hero for everyone by the end. The Quarry you have Emma, who says she isn't sure what she wants from the world and just wants to make people happy and fit in a world where everyobody wants to be something different, Jacob feels absolute grief for his decision and genuine remorse and would have major trauma and survivors guilt. Abi went the whole time letting people make choices for her and when she tries to take stand (vouching agaisnt the party) she gets shut down and bought back to their side, but she makes a choice of herself to shoot Nick and live or not shoot and die and stand up for herself. Dylan had the best development personally as he was relatable with how he changed his personality and interests to entertain everyone at camp, Ryan has a lot of implied questioning and confusion as well as how he looks up to Chris as a father figure since it seems he lives with his sister and grandparents and he doesn't want to leave them behind for his future but he also wants to do things iwth his life. Laura... she was a badass and very loyal girlfriend to Max, Kaitlyn and Nick were most unexplored characters, Nick had some cool juxtaposition of being once a nice ldude but he becomes more harsh and violent, whether you believe that is the real Nick or the infection talking is up to the player nad Kaitlyn was a badass and you can learn a little bit about what she wants and her life, wanting to be a street artist (like a mime etc.) as a kid however she seems to play the more mysterious character. Max was always the first to admit his mistakes and apologise and keep the peace.
Saw the hype with this game. I’m thinking , they will make these characters stupid and ominous. I watched RDC play this and even they got bored and laughed at decisions by characters. These games are obvious in how they play out
@@amateurishauthor2202thats the problem, until dawn was good and they tried to milk the genre, and we get games made with no love of passion but love for money
I think they were trying to make it a mystery what the monster was. Problem is I figured out it was werewolves pretty much right away and I'm sure a lot of other people did too.
I was so significantly let down by this game. I was actually angry that it finished because it made me realize how much time I invested into this game.
To be fair maybe chris can still have heart attacks but they just don't kill him. Also that 911 call clearly lasted long enough for someone to come since we could hear the operator, isn't it protocol when a call drops like that to send a car?
15:01 when you play as Jacob you take the rotor arm. Then when you’re in the lake you drop the rotor arm and he goes into the water to get it and that’s when you see the body. At the end in the credits, the two people talk on the radio about the missing hiker. There will be a picture of two people missing and one of them was the missing hiker. They haven’t found the girl yet. I have to keep playing. 34:51 No, Nick bites bobby so bobby shoots his hand because he’s infected. You don’t need to transform to infect others. You called Nick, Nate and you called Max Laura’s brother when that’s her boyfriend. 🤦♀️
while this game is flawed it’s very obvious this channel doesn’t really pay attention to the plot or missed clues/tarot cards because so many of these sins are explained quite well, while the sins that need to be sin aren’t sinned.
9:50 The real question is why schedule summer camps around full moons. They are like 4 weeks apart, and they also need to prepare for the hunt which probably would take a couple days at least.
Admittedly the game has bad writing and a lot of things are dumb but at least half of those sins could have been answered if you did a little bit more research instead of just basing it on your own playthrough where you clearly didn't get everything. Lots of things get explained with collectibles you can find and by now there's multiple youtube videos explaining the lore. Tip for future multiple endings games.
12:04 Absolutely. It became such a consistent glitch that my wife and I moved past being annoyed, and started actively looking forward to the next time someone would repeat a line they just said. A couple times they even repeated a line three times. Awesome.
I watched a playthrough in German and sometimes the characters would just randomly speak english for a line or two 😂 It always took any tension right out of the game and I honestly thought it was hilarious
There are tons of logic issues with the game, but I do think there is an item you find that explains who's body is underwater. Why they continue to leave it there and order the kids not to swim instead of disposing of it better is still a sin, though.
Dartigan mentioned Justice Smith, David Arquette, and Lance Henricksen, so I was ready for them. I was lulled into a nice sense of 'Oh hey those guys. Okay' then WHAM! Sudden Lin Shaye. Glad to see she took time off from exploring The Further to be with us today.
@@Shantae1188 Constance Hackett in this. She’s an icon of horror films though. Started in Nightmare on Elm St and carries the Insidious franchise. Over 200 acting credits
I think the game is technically better than until dawn. first, the fact that there are multiple fail states for the characters that affect the ending. it's not just live or die as a character could be stuck with a werewolf curse or cursed then cured later. there is also an entirely separate set of characters that you can save or kill that you don't actually play as. the two characters at the beginning aren't just killed off right away and come back. and the focus monster actually shows up fairly early in comparison. however, I think the execution makes it worse then until dawn. the red herring is too easy to see through, you can't save kaylee, and shooting Nick saves Abi and not will kill Abi when it should be the other way around are fairly small problems in comparison to the idiot plot. ironically, the teenagers are pretty smart when compared to the Hacketts considering how poorly they handled the situation.
@@strahinjagov "Where are you going?" "Hackett's Quarry. Going in a day early." "Oh, Chris Hackett is my brother! He's not there right now, off doing (insert excuse here). There's a hotel down the way..."
I liked some of the stuff they did to shake up the formula like having the narrator actually be a character with skin in the game and such, but yeah... the overall execution kinda sucks tbh. It might not have been so bad if the Hackett family wasn't _so_ dumb. This curse is stupidly easy to manage, a half-cooked cover story about hunters in the area would be enough to keep people safe and inside for the night, and they've had *6 stinking years* to practice this masquerade !
@@strahinjagov Or had done literally anything competent. I get him drawing the line at killing innocent people, but nothing else he does makes a lick of sense
8:10 When I heard this voice, I had to check to see if I was right on who it was. I was surprised to not only get it right, but to also see what you meant when you said the guy from the Detective Pikachu movie. For the record, he was talking about Justice Smith who played the main protagonist in the movie. And this girl is voiced by Brenda Song from Suite Life for those who remember that.
The body in the lake is one of the hikers mentioned throughout, and the phonelines were most likely cut by Jed & Bobby to stop them making any outside calls. They don't make it a secret that they're tracking them. They also would've let Travis out the cell as Laura didn't break / confiscate his radio that he uses to keep in contact with them. He would've most likely had to have told them about Laura and Max.
This could have used some more time in the creation and story vetting. If only it could get a patch to deal with these issues, but the patch probably is 'game replacement' versus fixing pieces. Close but not close enough. I watched so many streamers play Until Dawn to get their game play and commentary. This game, one and done.
I agree about the streaming, because the stupid writing in these games (both intentional and accidental) makes it impossible for me to take anything seriously or care about the characters. The only enjoyment you can get from these games is taking the piss out them with a group of friends and lots of alcohol.
Abi’s death doesn’t mean “piss all”… she has to potential to save both Dylan and Kaitlyn in the Lodge later if she’s able to make it to the storm shelter and find the silver shells
The reason the shotguns do not use silver in the shells is because they are a deterrent, not to kill the werewolves. Also they really could be for bears also.
Sin 30 is without question the biggest problem with this story. A very brief time after being asked how to dismantle the van, chris gets in an it wont start, and kaitlyn says nothing and realize jacob did what she told him to do.
The problem I found with the Quarry is that it tried too hard to be like 'Until Dawn' and failed miserably in that aspect, since I couldn't find myself getting attached to any of these characters. Some I just found annoying, while others I felt completely indifferent to. What made Until Dawn so interesting and captivating was that it had you on the edge of your seat, giving you a cast of diverse characters with varying personalities that allowed you to get invested into them and kept you second-guessing all of your actions on determining who would live and die. Where the Quarry failed was giving a captivating plot and characters that the audience could at least semi care about and just felt like a bad attempt at trying to replicate Until Dawn.
You missed the fact that the whole Hag thing with the tarot cards was just utter bullshit. The whole game she helps you so that you won't shoot Silas but then it's a damned if you do damned if you don't situation there! Like... You shoot Silas to defend yourself she essentially is like "Fuck you! I hate you! I'll curse you forever!" but if you DON'T SHOOT SILAS YOU GET YOUR FUCKIN' FACE/HEAD YEETED ACROSS THE WOODS. The game has it's issues but I feel the ending/endgame is where they really just dropped the ball COMPLETELY.
the reason why she is mad at the player regardless if you shoot Silas (for obvious reasons) or not, she’s pissed you would even try teaming up with Travis to kill Silas putting her son in danger, she wants all Hacketts dead.
@@storiesbyJTK That's not exactly what I said, but either way it's shitty writing because if you dont get to this point then it means all of you are dead.
Ok this game was awesome, I really enjoyed it a lot. However it does have many flaws which I won't deny. But having said that. hot take incoming: I liked this more than Until Dawn. Yes, you heard me. Please dont flame me in the replies. I just thought this game had a really good branching storyline, and no character felt like they had plot armour like Sam and Mike in Until Dawn. Everyone was more involved in the story (while I agree Jacob kinda fizzles out in the last two chapters) unlike Matt and Jessica in Until Dawn. Also the fact that every character has three end states is so cool! You can infect every character and turn them into werewolves which has so many differences throughout the story... Emma being a werewolf can dramatically change the second half.
I’ll give you that but this game just feels lower budget and a lesser repeat to until dawn. There’s just something about until dawn that still makes it better and I don’t think it’s just nostalgia
What's sad is that covid really screwed up production for this game and they mentioned lots of stuff getting cut out. I still love the game but it needed a couple extra months of work for sure.
There's a storyline where you can kill the cop after letting Ryan die, thus reuniting Laura with Max. But the result is, you don't even get to go to the place where Silas is. The game just awkwardly ends after the Kaitlyn Caleb scene.
The joke isn’t that Emma doesn’t know what a wheelbarrow is, the joke is that Jacob calls it a “wheel barrel”. She’s making fun of him, she’s not incompetent
I actually appreciated how they designed the werewolves because I'm sure its a somewhat more realistic look for how they would be. Instead of suddenly growing hair or morphing into a wolf, the skin tightens.
I always thought the dead bodies in the lake were the bodies of the hikers who went missing. I think the podcast in the ending even further discusses this.
14:52 Well, they already had the models rendered, so might as well put them to good use...in all seriousness, I'll bet they thought they were striving for "realism", but all they accomplished was making the whole thing feel lazy. -__- 25:10 I hate that tired trope in bad horror movies where despite seeing something that defies all conventional logic the characters still openly deny what's staring them right in the face. There's a fine difference between being skeptical and being in denial. >:(
The thing i found with this game is even when i tried to get characters killed they wouldnt die i would literally keep failing quick time events and they would be fine
There's over 9 possible deaths PER CHARACTER. That means you can't possibly know every death on your second, or even third playthrough, and might make an even worse mistake further down the road. Hence why you unlock Death Rewind once you play the game once
Travis didn’t get bitten or injured in the storm shelter because he had a little werewolf blood on his neck when he asks you why you crashed in the woods
The body in the lake was one of the missing hikers, which was explained at the end during the podcast, the phone going dead and power going out was also explained when abi is in the cellar when she finds the silver shells on the floor when she sees the fuses missing from the fuse box she states so that's why the power went out. Kaylee and caleb are not locked up you learn that from her confession letter to her grandma that you find as Ryan after he gets stabbed. It's Nick in the cell who the hell is Nate? When talking about when Laura bites Ryan and thinking you have to be fully transformed to spread it then why earlier when Nick was first bit, why do you think Bobby shot his finger off after Nick bit him when he was dragging him away when Ryan shows up.
Despite all the bullshit the creators thought of to include in this game, the crane mentioned at 34:57 actually CAN keep the load suspended. If it happens to be a 'switchable magnet', that is (which should be the case on junkyards). These are, in order to keep the safety at max level, a combination of permanent magnets and electromagnets: Once magnetized, the surface will keep the load suspended, even in case of powerloss. In order to put down the load, the surface will be demagnetized.
Sin# 17, believe it or not, it use to be considered odd to be driving around in the middle of nowhere late at night, public road or not. It usually gave off the red flag of someone being up to no good or coming back from doing something no good. The question is completely warranted.

"an albino big White wolf" *looks like every other werewolf in this game*

That would've been super interesting! I'm upset this isn't real :(

Yeah why not lock the kids in the electrified cages if you can’t use the enter cage and put Chris in the jail cell simple enough. If the kids have a problem with that then that proves that they need to be put down or in this case just Caleb since killing him would cure his sister and Chris

I had hoped that we would get something a little bit more.
the end is where they rushed it with the static images of the endings of each counselor.

( either for a fuel line or the rotor arm ) ( Kaitlyn would know because she's the one telling Jacob removing those parts would render a car useless )
Then you find the car in great condition, ( lights are still on ) you get attacked by the werewolf, the car gets dropped, and now undrivable. But they don't even check the hood! For the parts they came to the junkyard for lol! They just leave, I was speechless at the screen, jaw on the floor.
Yes bc the werewolf would be able to free itself after a couple of minutes? It did not die yet.
@@david_davidson Interesting, actually, no dogs in the whole area, probably they don't get along with werewolves or infected people in the first place. a few thoughts:
- the moment they mentioned that the summer camp is two months long and you realize that a full moon happens typically every 29 days, the story falls apart.
About the fences: i thought that Gaming Harry menyioned that some of the werewolfs consented to locking themselves up but there were others (like caleb and kaiylee, probably spelled that wrong, sorry) who just wanted to do what they wanted when the full moon came
They didn't care about the safety of others + consequences afterwards

Ah, you mean a Far Cry ending.
That's my biggest problem about the quarry. You have the option to retrieve the rotar arm and find cars in the junk yard and not once do you get a prompt to escape. I'm surprised that you didn't sin the fact that:
-Kaylee is impossible to save while you can save Caleb
-If Ryan is bitten by Laura, Werewolf Chris will still kill him.
Silas is a werewolf most likely because his mother practices black magic.

•There’s a note in the game which explains why caleb and kaylee were free, as they stated they were fed up of being locked up in cages or something like that. Still pretty dumb but Tbf if they stayed away from their family they had no way of knowing the counseleors were still at camp.
The reason why Ryan dies to Werewolf Chris is because the infection hasn't spread too far and so Chris couldn't smell the werewolf blood within Ryan
The 911 situation annoyed me too. I can't fathom the idea of someone, especially camp councilors not knowing how to use 911.
Like 4 year olds know how to call 911.
*4 year olds*
Yeah, it would have only made sense if the question was alright so what should I say Nick was attacked by a wolf or a bear because obviously I can’t say a monster
The only character who would have the right to even question the idea would be Nick but the poor bloke was half eaten so 😭
idk, Ryan was giving off autism vibes or something to me, sometimes people like that need to practice things before they do it.
The corpse is one of the missing hikers. There are also a “no swimming” sign and rule for no one to jump into the lake while they’re canoeing.

(Will be edited)
11:50 She was making fun of him for saying wheelbarrel instead of Wheelbarrow
12:50 He looks for Silas here when he is human
19:49 The hunters heard them over the radio
21:43 You called Nick Nate
27:39 Chris most likely told the counselors that he wouldn’t be there and went to his moms house
30:08 You called Max Laura’s brother
30:51 The werewolf curse heals any injury no matter what. That’s why she is able to bite Ryan later to heal him.
31:16 Called Dylan Dwane
31:52 He had a Radio he probably called for them
32:33 In a piece of evidence you see a note how Kaylee wants to be released from the house and is sick of being stuck in there
34:05 Adding a sin for you sinning the best line in the game
34:33 To be honest it’s just common sense that Laura would think biting him would pass on the curse since she is already infected therefore the curse is in her blood, saliva, or something like that and she knows it spreads through bites
35:26 Chris was probably only broke through then because Laura and Ryan aggravated or awoke him at that moment
35:44 All the werewolf blood on him has either gotten wiped off on accident or his skin sorta just absorbed it
36:18 Again, Kaylee wrote a note to Constance that they wanted to be let free for one night as they were sick of being either chained or kept in cages
37:59 She quite literally says that she is gonna try and find him right before getting blown up and dying in the fire. And if you didn’t dodge the spear she would die saying that she would wait for him at the carnival and still ends up dying.
38:43 He probably got another cop car either from another police station or already just had a backup one
You deserve so many likes for this because he messed up so many times

Id like to add the spelling of limerick in the subs as lymric

-
I think exploring the family and how different members cope with the curse is super interesting and wish the game did more with that
Bobby was like the favourite child who did what he was told by his parents.

I felt the biggest sin was not allowing to skip cutscenes (after completing it at least)
The whole game is practically a giant cutscene
@@21tyson55 right, i want to get all the trophies in this game so bad but these cutscenes and 7hr dialogue is irritating 😭
@@21tyson55 Same, I played Detroit Become Human right before The Quarry and was shocked by how little gameplay there actually is in comparison. That’s what I hate about these games.

WHY IS THERE CAMP IN THE FIRST PLACE
Edit: 27:38 and 28:59 holy shit he actually talked about it, thank you! No one i watched picked up on that and it drove me nuts! Thank you!
Ya Chris could have easily just cut camp short a day to prepare for the full moon but didn't. Doesn't make sense if you think about it.
You literally have cages designed specifically to keep werewolves in! Why would Chris, Caleb, or Kaylee EVER be a concern!?
-
Also, I appreciate you pointing out that Ryan has a good argument against Laura killing Chris since the latter actually took measures to not hurt anyone, Sheriff Rami told her not to go to the camp (granted, he could have made up a story about Chris not being there, but still), and she got herself mixed into this mess by breaking into the dude's house.

Biggest sin for me was the number of times someone would enter a room/building after being attacked or fleeing a pursuer and LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN. Whatever these supposed camp counselors were paid, it was too much.
Yes they got to the lodge and left both doors wide open
I always like people's first criticism of horror movies/games is that how can people not have Signals on their phones in a world so interconnected?
Simple answer can lie in one thing: Location of Cell Towers
Where I work is a construction site just on the edge of my town, there are some areas of this site where you lose signal, geography places an important role and even to this day, many rural areas lack phone signals and broadband connectivity so it is extremely realistic/possible in this century that people who travel to isolated areas can lose phone signal.
Also there are such things as jammers too which can jam phone signals.
Horror cliche answered.
If they don't explain it, it's not explained, right?
This is still the real world, no?
Most kids, or people who don't travel to more isolated areas actually are baffled when they only get TWO bars on their phone.
I think what you are dealing with here are a few people who are mystified by how the world "changes" the moment they stray too far from mom's basement. 😄
When I go hunting with my dad, the location we hunt has no cell service for AT&T. But some of the other hunters have Verizon and they get plenty of cell service there.
And it kinda makes sense in the game:
-The camp is in a forest and forests usually block signal
-no cell towers in the area
-Chris Hackett doesn't allow phones in the camp, so there would be no reason to put cell towers to have internet
-if there were cell towers, people would call for help when a werewolf attacked someone, resulting in a bunch of cops showing up with regular weapons so the werewolfs would kill/infect them.
Definitely, the low signal makes perfect since
What's really dumb about Dylan suggesting to cut off Nick's arm is if you ask him why you should cut it, he says that he doesn't know he's not a doctor. WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU SUGGEST CUTTING OFF HIS ARM THEN??
I disagree because when a body part is infected, in order for the infection not to spread you will need to cut off that specific body part. I’m no doctor but I think this should be basic knowledge everyone knows (even if it needs to be taught to people.)
Also with Dylan I think it’s obvious that he’s skeptical and says/does stuff when in a moment of panic.
@@ningmushii Kaitlyn notices Nick is healed. She's the one that tries to check on him but he kept trying away from her and hiding his heals

I thought the bloated body was the journalist and the shredded bags into the store belonged to the 2 hikers
Yeah it was still a nice game but it could have been better not that I could have written a better story.
I kinda wish the characters were more likable since it builds up the desire to keep them alive (tho there is some catharsis in seeing Jacob and his frat boy butt getting killed off)

@@jameswest6232 i think these were the best characters they have made, they were all loveable for me. Way more loveable then until Dawns cast... Sam and Chris were the only likeable characters and Mike was the only one with some actual development and writing.
To be fair maybe chris can still have heart attacks but they just don't kill him. Also that 911 call clearly lasted long enough for someone to come since we could hear the operator, isn't it protocol when a call drops like that to send a car?
The operator might have contacted Travis since he is the officer in the area
This genuinely could have been a 2 hour video if you included everything
28:35 Chris didn’t learn about Laura and Max from his son, he learned about them through Bobby, his younger brother. Chris’ son is Caleb.
while this game is flawed it’s very obvious this channel doesn’t really pay attention to the plot or missed clues/tarot cards because so many of these sins are explained quite well, while the sins that need to be sin aren’t sinned.
Yup. Just realizing this too. Bummer as I wanted a more thorough review
That's been most videos for some time now. In addition to the 2-3 min intro sin 😂
9:50 The real question is why schedule summer camps around full moons. They are like 4 weeks apart, and they also need to prepare for the hunt which probably would take a couple days at least.
10:10 I’m pretty sure Chris Hackett ran the camp before turning into a werewolf.
yes but it seems like common sense to take a break or something once he knows that he’s putting kids in mortal danger💀
It’s was good you 🤡
12:04
Absolutely. It became such a consistent glitch that my wife and I moved past being annoyed, and started actively looking forward to the next time someone would repeat a line they just said. A couple times they even repeated a line three times. Awesome.
I watched a playthrough in German and sometimes the characters would just randomly speak english for a line or two 😂
It always took any tension right out of the game and I honestly thought it was hilarious
There are tons of logic issues with the game, but I do think there is an item you find that explains who's body is underwater. Why they continue to leave it there and order the kids not to swim instead of disposing of it better is still a sin, though.
Will they certainly didn't expect people to go in and look plus they did put traps in case they did they will die
@@kendriccoley7053 So explain it to parents why their kids dead at camp. Because you know kids love to swim at camp if there is a lake.

I bet one of the Red Doors lead her there.
Which one is this Lin Shaye?

As an American, you sinning the shooting competition, The shotgun needs to be reracked before another shot. You know this.
Literally ANY communication would have solved this. And there was no reason for the Hackett family to be stupid mutes most of the time.
@@denverarnold6210 forreal. Like if Travis hadn't dragged out his whole creepy cop routine the whole thing could've been wrapped up in two seconds.
@@strahinjagov "Where are you going?"
"Hackett's Quarry. Going in a day early."
"Oh, Chris Hackett is my brother!
Why tf is an Evil Dead reference a sin? 💀
The wheelbarrow bit is because he's saying 'wheelbarrel', not because she doesn't know what one is
This could have used some more time in the creation and story vetting.
38:00 she didn't try to find her son? You are cutting the scene before she starts calling for him.
Abi’s death doesn’t mean “piss all”… she has to potential to save both Dylan and Kaitlyn in the Lodge later if she’s able to make it to the storm shelter and find the silver shells
So does Emma. Doesn't really make Abigail any less irrelevant
The reason the shotguns do not use silver in the shells is because they are a deterrent, not to kill the werewolves. Also they really could be for bears also.
Colleges would be absolutely savage if they stamped huge “REJECTED” stamps on each rejection letter they send out lol
Put it on the outside of the letter for peak savagry
Sin 30 is without question the biggest problem with this story. A very brief time after being asked how to dismantle the van, chris gets in an it wont start, and kaitlyn says nothing and realize jacob did what she told him to do.
The body in the river gets explained if you find the clues and follow certain steps so it's not really a sin.
It still doesn't make sense why they'd put the body there if the Hacketts were responsible.
thumbs up for mentioning lock picking lawyer on 05:39
The problem I found with the Quarry is that it tried too hard to be like 'Until Dawn' and failed miserably in that aspect, since I couldn't find myself getting attached to any of these characters.
Very well said. I completely agree.
14:50 Well the werewolves in the movie The Cursed didn't really look all that wolf-like either.
You actually can have a character survive after not shooting Silas, if you get the blood vial from Bobby when you have the chance to shoot him.
the reason why she is mad at the player regardless if you shoot Silas (for obvious reasons) or not, she’s pissed you would even try teaming up with Travis to kill Silas putting her son in danger, she wants all Hacketts dead.
That's what I actually did the first time and I was wondering why I didn't get to confront Silas😄
The joke isn’t that Emma doesn’t know what a wheelbarrow is, the joke is that Jacob calls it a “wheel barrel”. She’s making fun of him, she’s not incompetent
And people wonder why the Silent Hill fans want the series to stay dead, if shit like this passes as horror and praised by mainstream media.
3:14 I 100% holding back a shit eating grin when my demise is 3 seconds away.
I actually appreciated how they designed the werewolves because I'm sure its a somewhat more realistic look for how they would be. Instead of suddenly growing hair or morphing into a wolf, the skin tightens.
Can there really be a realistic look for a completely fake mythical creature?
@@thedeepfriar745 also very realistic how they...blow up when they transform????????
Humans have hair all over their body though? I don’t get why they couldn’t have just added fur
7:20 Yo Brenda Song and April Winter are two people I recognized instantly and literally jumped out of my seat in excitement for. how dare
"No, now it's just hot" had me dead 💀🤣
The body is one of the hikers, and none of the kids seeing it is because swimming isnt allowed in that section of the water
Ah, my favourite characters: Nate, Dwayne and Jebediah.
I always thought the dead bodies in the lake were the bodies of the hikers who went missing.
I think the podcast in the ending even further discusses this.
Yeah, this game sins video isn't that good or accurate. I'm bummed
14:52 Well, they already had the models rendered, so might as well put them to good use...in all seriousness, I'll bet they thought they were striving for "realism", but all they accomplished was making the whole thing feel lazy. -__-
25:10 I hate that tired trope in bad horror movies where despite seeing something that defies all conventional logic the characters still openly deny what's staring them right in the face. There's a fine difference between being skeptical and being in denial. >:(
the "depends on the bear" joke is funny after playing baldurs gate
The thing i found with this game is even when i tried to get characters killed they wouldnt die i would literally keep failing quick time events and they would be fine
There's over 9 possible deaths PER CHARACTER. That means you can't possibly know every death on your second, or even third playthrough, and might make an even worse mistake further down the road. Hence why you unlock Death Rewind once you play the game once
Not every character has 9 deaths. Nick and Max only have 1.
Travis didn’t get bitten or injured in the storm shelter because he had a little werewolf blood on his neck when he asks you why you crashed in the woods
I really played this game a lot to get the Platinum trophy
I knew this video was gonna be trash the moment it took like 3 mins just for one thing to be marked as wrong. 😭😭
How is Ryan a whole camp counselor and don't know how to call 911😂😂😂
me the entire time: “who the fuck is nate??” and i finally realized at the end you meant nick
Despite all the bullshit the creators thought of to include in this game, the crane mentioned at 34:57 actually CAN keep the load suspended.
If it happens to be a 'switchable magnet', that is (which should be the case on junkyards).
These are, in order to keep the safety at max level, a combination of permanent magnets and electromagnets:
Once magnetized, the surface will keep the load suspended, even in case of powerloss. In order to put down the load, the surface will be demagnetized.
I believe the gypsy stuff is supposed to be a reference to The Wolfman
Sin# 17, believe it or not, it use to be considered odd to be driving around in the middle of nowhere late at night, public road or not. It usually gave off the red flag of someone being up to no good or coming back from doing something no good. The question is completely warranted.
Sure, if you're paranoid.

every supermassive game that gets released keeps me wondering how the hell did telltale went bankrupt but SM didn't
i mean, it's almost the same shit: games with no gameplay, choices that lead nowhere and shallow experience overall. Telltale gets the cake here, cause at least their games had cool characters and somewhat competent writing
