JackOllie4 thank you. We older women (I’m 59) well know how the years have changed us. What we don’t need are backhanded complements. Our gray hairs and lines tell our story. Crows feet and parentheses mean we have lived a joyful life (their caused by smiling). I don’t mind my wrinkles, but I don’t like when my foundation settles there and accentuates them.

There are increasing numbers in this audience demographic who are in 40s, 50s and beyond who are interested. The articles referenced the fact that this audience is more likely to be able to purchase the makeup, and especially more expensive brands, and products, than the teens and 25 yr olds who are still dependents (students, or young ppl just starting out) in many cases.
I’m 75 & never wore make-up til I divorced at 40. Just light liquid make-up over moisturizer. Learned to use eye-liner & layer mascara for thinning lashes. It’s great to hear people say I look 20 yrs younger. You really do feel good when you look your best! Thank you for this video! So many of us gals were never taught how to use make-up & we had to keep doing the hit & miss program 🤗💕

Unfortunately not everyone grays evenly like she has. Some people have wirey grays and others have a few specs here and there, while others still have uneven bands giving them almost a raccoon like effect. Regardless this is a gorgeous model and she’s done an amazing job of maintaining herself. It takes effort to look like that and I’m always impressed to see women who do that.
Now THIS is how you do mature makeup 🙌 I can’t stand seeing makeup artists cake mature faces. It makes them look like someone went ham with the airbrush tool in photoshop

To those who are saying "imagine how beautiful she was younger": Try to imagine yourself as an older woman with mature skin. Now imagine all the insecurities you have about yourself when comparing yourself to younger "prettier" faces. Older women are usually treated as broken toys that have a shelf life. It's probably hurtful to hear "wow you're beautiful, but I wonder how much MORE beautiful you WERE younger." I'm not attacking anyone who say these things. I just want to shed some light without harassing others.
You're right though! I really hate it when ppl think that's a compliment, like she's beautiful no matter her age. My mom was gorgeous when she was young and she still is. Age doesn't change that 🙄 the whole thing with women not being allowed to age irks me to no end, bc no one makes comments about the youthfulness of men the way they do about women and it's just tiring
I think people who says things like that have no malicious intent, they just don’t realize that it implies that the person has LOST beauty. @@fourleaf8055 there is only so much hiding you can do all of the lines around your eyes with fillers-- eventually you have to get blepharoplasty--- but she is still young enough to benefit from Botox and fillers. Another 10 years and she will need blepharoplasty if she has not already had it done. Most people start young (40 , give or take 5 years either way depending on personal situation) if they're going to have work done, instead of waiting till they at an age, to which it will not make that much difference. A good board certified plastic surgeon will tell you that you should not wait until U R 60 or 65, & everything has fallen-- instead start by doing just a little bit when you are young, and keep taking care of that. A little at a time also keeps it looking natural.

I'm a hairstylist and I love that you showed makeup for a mature woman. They deserve to look amazing. So often women give up makeup and think they are too old to wear it anymore and just reduce to lipstick only. Very encouraging for mature women. Your model is stunning!

As I'm aging I LOVE using powder for eyeliner, I realize eyeliner is about looking like the shadow of the lashes and not just a big graphic stripe. Wetting eyeshadow makes it deeper but can be blended like powder as it dries

I agree, they were way too many products used for the regular person. So I would probably use just half of those products. I usually moisturize in the morning, add a luminescent foundation, add a little blush, a little powder, a little glow on my cheeks and eyelids and then I just do a bit of a eyeliner to enhance my eyes. Sometimes I never even wear mascara. I am 68. I do like to put a little bit of color on my lips of course
You don’t need anyone to do your make up for you every day. You can do it yourself. I’ve been doing my own make up since I was a teenager. Nobody ever taught me anything. All you need is moisturizer, a cream foundation is the one that I use and a cream blush. Then a little pressed powder on top and Voila! You’re good to go.
I was lucky before I turned 50 (65 NOW) my husband told me to grow my eyebrows back and I did before the really harsh aging set in. Thank you honey! R.I.P.

The items that seemed to make the most "difference" between before and after: foundation, mascara, blush, lipstick. I'm 63 and I'm also learning that skincare really preps the skin for foundation: facial masks, cleansing, and moisturizer. Skipping pre-foundation skin care isn't going to work for me at this age. Any build-up of dry skin cells is just doing to make the foundation patchy and weird.
As a 48 yo woman, trying to find videos online is hard. This one helped me alot. Can't take tips from a 23yo on makeup. Caroline looks AMAZING. Thank you xxx

As I'm aging I LOVE using powder for eyeliner, I realize eyeliner is about looking like the shadow of the lashes and not just a big graphic stripe. Wetting eyeshadow makes it deeper but can be blended like powder as it dries

This was great, but, uhhh, no way could I do all of this myself every day.😬 So many products! So many steps!! I’d love to have someone do this for me every day
I agree, they were way too many products used for the regular person. So I would probably use just half of those products. I usually moisturize in the morning, add a luminescent foundation, add a little blush, a little powder, a little glow on my cheeks and eyelids and then I just do a bit of a eyeliner to enhance my eyes. Sometimes I never even wear mascara. I am 68. I do like to put a little bit of color on my lips of course
You don’t need anyone to do your make up for you every day. You can do it yourself. I’ve been doing my own make up since I was a teenager. Nobody ever taught me anything. All you need is moisturizer, a cream foundation is the one that I use and a cream blush. Then a little pressed powder on top and Voila! You’re good to go.
Can we all just appreciate Caroline’s brows. Rare to find a woman who didn’t overpluck them in the 80’s!

The items that seemed to make the most "difference" between before and after: foundation, mascara, blush, lipstick. I'm 63 and I'm also learning that skincare really preps the skin for foundation: facial masks, cleansing, and moisturizer. Skipping pre-foundation skin care isn't going to work for me at this age. Any build-up of dry skin cells is just doing to make the foundation patchy and weird.
