I love the questing system to introduce the player to the modpack! A suggestion about it: Add a "completed quests" tab on the UI, listing the quests we have completed. Sometimes its a lot of information and the player needs to track back, per example: "how can i increase soul shard drops again? Oh... that quest said something-something dagger or a modifier but i don't quite remember" Overall i really like how the pack has developed and i loved playing during the alpha VH I had a break to focus on my studies and i can't wait to get together with my friends and play VH with them! Keep up with the good work Iskall and VH team!
The pack seems so much more refined since I last watched. I especially appreciate that there are so many different ways of healing now in the early game.

The 55 minute was heavily appreciated watched every second through glad to see the return and im definitely here for these longer episodes, its what made twitch great getting to see you play for a lot longer
I think a cool idea for vaults would be a certain type of challenge or a setting whereas instead of the vault immediately unaliving you when you run out of time, it'll make the vault harder depending on how long you stay in the vault for. For example, if you stay in the vault for extra time, it'll start spawning powerful mobs randomly or it could give you negative modifiers like frail. Just a random thought I had. Like you can stay in the vault, sure, but it'll make it a lot harder depending on how much longer you stay in the vault. Like you could have it so like if you're in the vault for an extra minute (-1:00), higher leveled mobs will start spawning. At five minutes (-5:00), you'll start getting negative modifiers every thirty seconds or so. So at -5:30, you could get something like crowded or unlucky. And at ten minutes overtime (-10:00) you'll start taking damage out of nowhere and the amount of damage you take increases every fifteen seconds. So it could start at 2 HP every second and then go up an extra two every fifteen seconds. Just a random thought and it's unlikely anyone will see this, but I'm just pitching my idea out there.
I adore complementary shaders and I'm happy to see them used here. I think you've done a great balance with the settings, I'll probably use them myself!
The updates you’ve showcased in this video might actually convince me to give this pack another try. You’ve fixed so many of the issues I initially had with the pack. It’s awesome to see your team constantly learn and improve VH! It’s looking amazing.

You should try the Complementary Reimagined shader, as that one is designed to look more like vanilla than the normal Complementary shader, and the clouds are awesome!

I normally hate shaders but these are cozy like you said and make it look nice! I'm also super happy to the changes that have been made and I'm going to go try this pack now after your video. One of the things stopping me before was that there were to many non fizzle spawners. I also love the changes to enchanting and healing.

The early quest system is exactly what I was missing in my first experience with Vault Hunters, and seeing you play through it here has re-energized me for jumping back into the server I'm on. Thank you and your team once again, and I look forward to exploring alongside you.

So... I got an idea for a type of vault and I want some suggestions. This Vault is called a Looting Vault. Here are some things about it and some ideas that are either-ors: Definite: -Only spawns after you lose Beginner's Grace. -No Mobs. -Can't leave without completing task. -You have to buy your exit using items. -There is a crate for the vault, but you fill it (either at the enterence, first room, or it could be a random spawn throughout the vault. In the end it is an inventory dump that you get if you complete the vault) Potential Layout: -Like any normal vault, but has just chests all over and no special rooms. -Each room is modeled like each if the different chests and items are just on the ground everywhere, though a little spread out. Like chests, each room has a different level, from common to omega. This can be determined by the particles in the room (little sparkling lights all over). Danger, there could be trapped rooms (optional). Maybe even add coin pile room (optional). Potential Extra Gimmicks: -Half the time. -Loot Villagers Stands: Trade one loot for another (or could be how you turn in your task items) -You have to buy each the doors to other rooms (not with much and the prices are based on the chest you are in or cost vault coins that you can find, with higher level rooms costing more to go to) The task has to have something to do with going around a looting (obviously), but here are some ideas on how. Ideas for task: -Either the portal breaks or it gets blocked off. Both ways, some alters or maybe storage drawers appear with items on them (always items you can find in the vault). You need to get the amount of that item floating over the drawer to gain access to your exit. These drawers are only In the entry room or they could be in the first room. -You enter the Vault and a greedy Villager puts a stand, blocking the exit. He demands either items or he could demand an amount in coin (this is not a "there is a chance for one or the other", this is "he would do only one 100% of the time"). If he demands items, he will ask for a lot of those items. He will not comprise, only wants those items. If coin, he will demand an amount between 1-5 gold (price is random, but higher level vaults make higher prices more likely) He will take coin, but also items which may have different values to him in different vaults. Like iron nuggets could be 1:1 nugget to bronze in one vault, but 2:1 or even 1:2 in another. But rarer items will be worth more. Once you pay him off, he give you back your exit. Just some ideas and would love some suggestions or preferences.

it's nice to hear from you again after so much time, almost started thinking you didn't get out of a vault in time without beginner's grace, but there's a problem regarding multiplayer... the skills and skill cooldowns are shared, idk if that applies to all players or only players who are in a party, i've only player with 1 friend and we instantly created a party, but it is a very noticeable problem since... yk, we're sharing the skills and cooldowns, even when we change from a skill to another, it changes for the other person too (we haven't tried it with skills we don't have, it just happened that we have the same skills) sooo, maybe it is something you could take a look at for the next patch? also, i'm glad you're back and i highly doubt i'll miss any vault hunters video you'll make, thank you for your time (in case this gets to you) :>

yay, a brand new vault hunters series I can watch. I got the new prismarine pirate theme today and I spent the whole time stealing blocks and pagging over the new mobs! it is my new favorite theme for sure.
My personal favorite shader is rethinking voxels, it is in fact based on complementary, only a little more performance required out of your pc, while having much better shadows, and colored lighting
this is so cool i am watching your vods on your vod chanel and i am at episode 9 so at the very beginning at wow so many new things at changes with the potion and the mana refills like wow this is amazing and i love the hard work you put into this modpack or even more this game
I love that the start of the game is a guided build-up to the first vault run! Great for new players and probably for experienced players who want to get into it quick too.
just started vault hunters today, never played to before. spawned near a small village with a castle in it. i love the books helps you along with rewards. No idea what I'm doing, but I'm a having lots of fun with it
Been loving watching Vodskall for the SMP, excited to see a fresh start though too not to mention hermitcraft. Glad you took the time to take care of yourself...then focus hard on the development of the best Minecraft Modpack, but its good to see regular videos coming back too!

welcome back iskall , this fresh start looks like it has some great changes , if i can figure out how to get it controller friendly i might hve to give it a try , as for the shaders i like them , my fiancee and i have been using astra lex in our world , but complementary shaders are pretty nice as well , as long as everything runs well i see no issue using them , it does make everything just a bit nicer looking
Love getting new videos from you Iskall! :) I like watching VH a lot, but don't have enough time myself to play it (rl is....a bit too busy right now). I can't stop laughing at the "hollow" tree - it's such a classic, first time play MC thing (and is going to trigger many, many people :P). Maybe you should keep it as a feature for your future base? Move it block by block to wherever you set up.

By default, I believe you can reach the red monster box with a pickaxe, but the space is really thin, and youd probably have to creep towards it in sneak until you find the hitbox. Hopefully the range wasnt changed

The shaders definitely enhance the visuals in a way that is minimal, yet impactful. I think you should keep them.

yay, a brand new vault hunters series I can watch. I got the new prismarine pirate theme today and I spent the whole time stealing blocks and pagging over the new mobs! it is my new favorite theme for sure.

I love this. I was trying to watch the vods but the long run time is hard to manage. This 1 hour format is awesome. Thank you for the great content.
My personal favorite shader is rethinking voxels, it is in fact based on complementary, only a little more performance required out of your pc, while having much better shadows, and colored lighting

this is so cool i am watching your vods on your vod chanel and i am at episode 9 so at the very beginning at wow so many new things at changes with the potion and the mana refills like wow this is amazing and i love the hard work you put into this modpack or even more this game

I love that the start of the game is a guided build-up to the first vault run! Great for new players and probably for experienced players who want to get into it quick too.

just started vault hunters today, never played to before. spawned near a small village with a castle in it. i love the books helps you along with rewards. No idea what I'm doing, but I'm a having lots of fun with it
Been loving watching Vodskall for the SMP, excited to see a fresh start though too not to mention hermitcraft. Glad you took the time to take care of yourself...then focus hard on the development of the best Minecraft Modpack, but its good to see regular videos coming back too!

the questing system is such a great addition! ive been wanting to try out the modpack, but every time ive watched some videos/tuned into some streams, ive just been a bit overwhelmed by it all. Can not wait to watch more of your singleplayer world and also cant wait to try and play some vh myself with the new (and much needed) handholding thanks to the quests :D

welcome back iskall , this fresh start looks like it has some great changes , if i can figure out how to get it controller friendly i might hve to give it a try , as for the shaders i like them , my fiancee and i have been using astra lex in our world , but complementary shaders are pretty nice as well , as long as everything runs well i see no issue using them , it does make everything just a bit nicer looking

Love getting new videos from you Iskall! :) I like watching VH a lot, but don't have enough time myself to play it (rl is....a bit too busy right now). I can't stop laughing at the "hollow" tree - it's such a classic, first time play MC thing (and is going to trigger many, many people :P). Maybe you should keep it as a feature for your future base? Move it block by block to wherever you set up.

I'm so happy Iskall is back. I can't tell you how much I've missed his cheery "Hallo" at the beginning of each episode. I've been browsing old videos just to hear his infectious laughter, but it wasn't quite the same. He's grown a lot more confident over the past few years & seems a lot more outgoing than in the early days. I'm so glad he's back, happily making videos again. 🥰

I wish we still had the old vault rooms, smaller rooms felt like vaults ran faster. Now you're spending 30 minutes between 3 rooms.

I really like the shaders, they don't change much, but make the game look very nice and smooth. In my opinion, definitely keep them!
I got a damn near nasa PC and just loading this mudpack completely breaks it, you content creators loading it AND recording is insane
By default, I believe you can reach the red monster box with a pickaxe, but the space is really thin, and youd probably have to creep towards it in sneak until you find the hitbox.
Hopefully the range wasnt changed
