Thank you for the video I'm putting it in my group I think that hypothetically putting it on 11 m with basically longer wires a considerable difference however I still think the same principle applies Anna meantime 73 yes it is going to be a much bigger on the citizen band 11-meter definitely
It will work fine on 11m. You can get it more compact by using fiberglass rod and wrapping the wires in lose coils around it. Then use some large heatshrink to hold everything in place
Do you have to insulation on the wire, or can you use 14 ga. ground wire from 14ga. romax the reason being I'm making 4 of these ,ONE for me and 3 for my friends. And I've got the ground left ,Thanks for sharing
You can get a better swr and impedance match if you tune to one band or the other. Either ham or gmrs. The readout on this antenna is pretty good but can be better if it's tuned band specific
I built my first antenna like this and got a 1.1 S W R. tks for the video.
good tutorial, thanks.
Good video you should build one using telescopic antennas.... I built a disc cone using telescopic antennas that is adjustable from 50 khz to 2.5 GHz.
That is on my list. It will happen in the future. I have been trying to figure out how to make it foldable as well.

nice one advise buy a vice and a better saw
It's what I had close by
Glad your fingers survived this project :)@@mikesmancrafts
Mike quick question, can the wires be 12" long as to get better reception/ range?
Sorry just saw your video
What is the purpose of the ring terminal on the top?
To tie a line to for hanging

The insulation is not necessary.

Anytime
My buddies thank you too. Because of you sharing you vidio they they got a new antenna.
Thanks again keep up the videos
