Loved this video, definitely have a better appreciation for this classical Disney attraction. The tribute doll for the amazing Mary Blair is definitely one I will look out for next time I visit. I'm always fascinated with how Disney pays it's respect towards the legends that helped make these parks the greatest places on earth. Thanks as always for your fun and informative videos!

Love it's a small world. It's one of our favorite rides at the park. Love how it celebrates inclusivity, have a very special art style by the talented Mary Blair and the incredibly catchy theme song. No matter what, we love singing along to this attraction. Glad you brought up the Charlie Brown Easter Egg on the ride. Not many people know about that one. Keep the magic alive. I love this ride during the Christmas holiday season.
I was at the 1964 World's Fair in New York (I was 8 years old) and I remember riding It's A Small World. I also remember that Ford unveiled the Mustang at this World's Fair.

Love Small World, its been my favorite ride since I was little.
My friends husband is a sign shop worker and one of the only ones who is able to do the gold plating and also spent hours doing the many shades of white in the finale room. He also did the gold work on Moments with Mr Lincoln and the new Dumbo queue among some of the cool things he’s done with gold plating there!
I’m just saying, this man has the guts to walk around DisneyLand (One of the most populated place) talking to a camera!

I love this ride! What do you think about doing a video pointing out all the suns and moons in each area. It’s hard, I try and do it every time I’m on the ride and I can never find them all. Can you?
Loved this video and all the information. My mom and grandmother worked at the Studios and had a really good friend who worked on Small World. She made me a "doll" like the others hanging from the balloons that hung in my room growing up. It then was in my daughters room. We still have it, but I'm not sure what kind of shape it is now as it was made in the 60's.

Someone once asked Richard Sherman how to get it's a small world's song out of their head. His response was Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds by The Beatles. He said "The way to get one great song out of your head is to replace it with another great song."

I would have loved to have been one of those children that Waklt invited..I must've met him, as I've grown up in SoCal. and went in IASW almost from open (May 28,1966).
When I was a kid I would insist that we always do two thing before leaving the park...go on it’s a small world and watch the Main Street electrical parade. It’s a small world and the holiday version are still one of my favorite rides...though definitely creepy sometimes if you think about the fact that you’re trapped in a sound stage with a bunch of dolls haha.

I used to love that ride...until i was stuck in it for 15-20mins with the music playing...you can say i went...mad🎩

I was stuck in the ride for at least 30 mins and I went so mad that I have never rode it since

LOL! And until 200?, there WERE no Disney characters n there. The WDW one IS smaller..lower ceiling..(oh. and no LARGE outside clock facade, due to the Florida rians..)

Hey Provost Park Pass! So a great video suggestion is that there are bracelet designing places around Disneyland and depending on where you are in the park you can get different things done. I know there is one place in frontierland and tomorrowland and carsland. Each place has different things to put on your leather band. Give me a shout out if you make this into or part of a video! Erm. You forgot The Netherlands. We're next to Italy - somehow - in the attraction, represented by tulips, windmills and... Ducks that quack. Apparently the imagineers thought that Dutch sounded like duckquaks or so... :D. You can clearly see our scene on 7:20. Even the houses in the back are typically Dutch. And to be fair... There are a lot of ducks in this country full of water... At 6:30 you can spot the Dutch ducks in the final. With kind regards from the Netherlands though. Keep up the good work!

Every year Cast Members have the Great Rubber Duck Race in Small World. CMs buy a rubber duck for a !.00 and decorate them. They are then put into the flume held back by a net then released at the same time. All the proceeds of the race goes to Make A Wish.

If you would like to hear a "happy cry" story, one year many years ago our church group kids went to Disneyland, and brought along with us a young lady who came from Sweden to the US to be an au pair for a church family with 7 noisy kids, and was missing home terribly. We church kids brought her into our group and brought her along to Disneyland. She was trying to be nice with us, but.....there was a wall there (if you you know what I mean.) Until "It's a Small World". We got on the boat, the ride drifted us into the building, and the song started. But in the very first room, in the Canadian Scandinavian room, her face suddenly lit up, and she said with astonishment, "They're singing in Swedish!" And from then on, Disneyland was, for her, "The Happiest Place on Earth".
Now, years later, married to one of the boys in our group, with 5 kids of her own, they go back and forth to Sweden, to the US, to the Virgin Islands on vacations, to Alaska for summer vacations, and her kids are terrific world travelers speaking Swedish, English, and French, and her husband says it all started when she finally found something to like about California in "It's a Small World".
I would be so cool just to hang with you at Disney for the day don't have any friends to hand with lol :(
i've mentioned this before: in the 1980s, there was a radio commercial for Disneyland in which all of the interviewee's answers were sung to the tune of "It's A Small World", the final line being, "We saw it 15 times in a row/We saw it 15 times, how'd ya know?"

I wush he'd do, actually, he did do a Secrets one, but I've requested more than once, a Differences one..Ps I went on the Disney World SMALL WORD (WDPITSW) ride in mid 90s, noticd the difference, nothing compared to the :Pirates one..)
The kids hate when I make them listen to that song repeatedly on road trips, just like on the ride.
