We've certainly reached the peak of huge heavy boards, that's for sure. I'm rooting for Acedeck's next board to be under 24 pounds, premium, and powerful.
I regretted not getting the N3 elite version. This probably would’ve been a better buy for me. Either way, Acedeck makes some reliable, powerful and beautiful boards. I’ve already put 2,000+ miles on my N3. That thing has been so fun and my favorite board I have. Most importantly it has been reliable! Thanks for all your great reviews Drew! You, ScottD and ESK8Unity are my favorite content creators hands down!
The 2072wh board is in the cart right now. I've been working my butt off all winter at my job and right here on RUclips so I can buy it soon. I just need to sell one of my bikes and this board will be mine. It seems like it's an all around monster and I love myself some range. Can't wait to get it!
That’s awesome! You’ll be stoked once you get it, it is insanely powerful and I can’t wait to put even more miles on it. Stay tuned once it warms up here, long range trip in the works
Seeing all these videos and posts about AceDeck makes the wait for me buying an Ares x3 so fucking hard. Also waiting on being able to fix my Propel Pivot with A Gear drive
*Love a good Sequel* 🤙🏽⚡️🤟🏽⚡️👌🏽 You said these things are "in a league of their own" and I heard "illegal alone" 🤣 Some dreamy carvin 👌🏽 Love that Acedeck made it noticeably smaller 🔥🔥 Less beastly, more boardy 🤟🏽
10000000000% the opposite, but some people like that, and I totally get it. Is it for every day life for me? No, no it is not, but is it nice to take out for group rides and never worry about charging? Yes yes it is 😆
I believe battery tech will be the biggest factor moving forward. More power and capacity in a smaller and lighter package. The ability to hold its charge for more cycles as well. Looks like a beast of a board tho!
I would love to see you test the SKP magnetic R, if you can afford it, get it. Warning, if you think that acedeck is the horizon, the magnetic will make you piss yourself, it’s the baddest board out there, love your videos and keep up the good work. And ride!
Appreciate the support my man! I’ve seen the magnetic R in action a few times. That board is a rocket indeed! I don’t know if I’ll have one on the channel but who knows!
@@DrewElia if everything works out I will be at esk8con this year, if you’ve never had the chance to ride it, I’ll let you take it for a spin, hopefully I can make it. lol, and if you make it too.
Let's talk about weight for a second. Whether it's 5 years from now or 50, weight is your friend. The light boards I had with tiny batteries when I started 7 years ago felt like I could lose control at any moment going above 20mph. 7 years later, I have a DIY that weighs about 70lbs but sticks to the road like GLUE. Same exact experience with test driving a 2025 gas powered Escalade vs a 2025 Denali EV truck with IDENTICAL air suspension. Because the EV truck weighs so much more and all the weight is evenly distributed less than 2 feet from the ground, it not only hugs the road, but drives 10 times smoother. The Escalade with the gas engine up front and weight distribution completely off, had the entire SUV vibrating hitting every little bump in the road. It doesn't matter where Eboarding is going in the future. If you don't keep it heavy so it sticks to the road, the odds of you getting thrown off when you smash a big crack goes way up.
Great question!!! The Horizon because of the suspension is more maneuverable and WAAH PAAH approved, the N3 can definitely be set up for stability and carve ride feel with proper bushings, the horizon is growing more on me but it’s just very heavy, and I constantly have to lift my board up and down in and out of car. So for every day life style I would say the N3 because it has plenty of power and the range is great for me as well. The horizon is a beast, just a simple crazy beast.
@jresk8 of course! You’re not going to be upset by any stretch in the means with either one and if you are interested In chatting reach out on Instagram or Facebook! I can answer any questions you have!
Just remember to check the shipping cost as this is a significant part of the price. It was $ 500 + to ship to the UK. But I still bought the board as I wanted the best.
Honestly I kind of like heavy bigger boards. It just feels more high quality and when im riding just knowing that im moving a 70 pound board with ease is kinda cool.
Ahhhh gotcha… thanks! Great videos btw and I’ve pushed a bunch out to friends who are edging closer to picking up an esk8 - I got the question and couldn’t pin down where they were from. Cheers!
Yessir, subbed about a year back when I caught your Meepo Flow video and bought one shortly after… then a Hurricane after that. Love them both. Esk8 evolves so quickly that there are constantly other boards I want buy 😂. Keep up the great videos, loving the channel all the way from Korea!
Sorry to hit you with another one of my long comments, Lol My problem with the Horizon is that it’s not exceptionally good at anything besides range and power. It’s not an off-road beast because its battery is underneath, and the wheels are street tread. A board without suspension, and with 6 or 7 inch pneumatics is already so comfortable especially if it has a flex deck that I PERSONALLY, (everyone’s different and I respect that) would rather not have the extra moving parts or cost or weight. I have never ridden channel trucks before so I don’t know how they feel, but based on reviews and such, they seem less stable than regular longboard trucks, Scott D said he was having issues with stability on his I don’t know if he ever figured that out or if he just switched to their TKP option because I know that have that. Basically my take is, (and this is just me, and I could be wrong since I’ve never ridden a Horizon) if I were riding street, I would rather have a Diablo, or Nomad n3, or a DIY, and for off-road, I would rather have something like the new MBS agent, top battery mounted mountain board, flexy deck, famous MBS hardware and trucks, only eskate that runs high voltage instead of high amps, more efficient less heat. (Less power but still so fast because it 18s). So a 1000wh battery on the agent will get FAR more range than a 1000wh battery on a high amp ESC so keep that in mind when looking at the specs on the Agent. Yes the agent is hobbywing, but it’s 18s hobbywing so it isn’t like the usual, and when you’re in the tight woods with trees and roots, how fast can you really go? The price on the Agent is rough, I will say that. God it looks fun to jump though. They need to make a new Ares, except with the new TKP trucks, with the N3 gear ESC, and with pneumatics. It would be a nomad with a smaller battery, I DONT NEED a 14s6 or 7p battery 😂. But I do want that performance. A 14s4 is more than enough for me.
This is a long message, and I raise you another long message back! haha alright, so this board is meant for your niche within a niche riders. people who want insane amount of range and comfort, when I mean comfort I truly mean no road vibrations, no foot fatigue, no cramped legs. Think of this board as the Cadillac of comfort, air ride suspension If you will, that you can run over anything and everything with out even thinking twice about it. allowing you to just enjoy the ride and cruise wherever you want to. Channel trucks are something to get used to just like DKP, TKP, RKP and suspension. These like I said in the review require some getting use to and adaptation to the riders style and preference. I'e talked to a few owners of it already and they said the same thing, how luxurious of a ride it is once you get use to it and get it dialed in, same though goes for people coming from thane wheels to AT its a massive upgrade in comfort and ride feel. So this is the next evolution in that as well. So owning a Diablo, Nomad N3, and DIY they all have a special place in my ride line up and none of them are "perfect" for me its all about the ride feel of a board. They all offer very different ride feels. This Horizon, the suspension offers a very different ride feel one that is comfort and deep powder like conditions with range and power to boot. MBS agent is a very specific style of board, catering to off roading, of course you can ride it on the streets but any top mounted board is designed for jumping, dirt, and bindings. mountain board is a totally different style to the horizon, the Z3 is a mountain board. This horizon is an urban long range trip. Yes higher voltage can mean better efficiency pending how you use it, but WH is still WH you're not getting more magical milage out of it. Rider weight, and terrain and everything under the sun makes range very subjective. that being said at 18s 4p would be able to charge very fast giving you more time to ride for charging purposes but now we are going off topic. The horizon is to fill those missing gaps that once were a shining beacon in the community like Kaly, and now the more recent revitalized Lacriox. Giving people who dont care about size or weight the ability to ride for as long as they want with as much comfort as they want. As far as the Ares refresh, I wouldn't mind getting a new 14/4 molicel p45b 120 amp ares gear drive, I still rock my gear drive with mad 105v2 14/4 amsung 40t 90amp one and it's a ROCKET. will 33 miles of range on that thing just a beast. over all I hope that kinda of answers you guides you into understanding why they made such a large board. Im sure that they will be coming out with new products this up coming season allowing all of us to drool over the newest shinny CNC monster to come out from the labs over at Acedeck.
Yes we have reached the peak of eskate. It's called the Propel Endeavor. 😂 But seriously, things are only goingto get better. In 10 years we'll all laugh at how heavy batteries had to be to get this range.
I know itv wonky been doing this for 2 plus years and it’s crazy how far we’ve come! And yes the propel endeavor is an awesome machine as well! I love my 3 GT!
Acedeck is not for me anymore, no tkp, urethane, 1000-1500 wh battery that doesn’t weigh. 20+ kg?! Only heavy boards, only pneumatic wheels, spring supported trucks like a jeep! No thanks😉
We've certainly reached the peak of huge heavy boards, that's for sure. I'm rooting for Acedeck's next board to be under 24 pounds, premium, and powerful.
