To do something extravagant to cheer for their favorite singer. His first love is music. He is not just a good-looking singer with a great voice, he is really a great musician who knows a lot. Acting is not his first priority, he only does it when the role has some kicks. He turned down the lead role of a lot of romance dramas that girls go crazy about. So he may not have a lot of international fan. I only watch this drama for Liu Yuning cause, his dramas and roles has kicks. Not just cringe, or romance or glamour but a story.

Both songs are beautiful. The first song needs to be part of OST or introduced in a drama so it can blow up more. So underrated he is. He deserves more with a talent like this. Hopefully with this drama, many future opportunities awaits.
Liu Yuning is already a famous singer. A really famous singer who sang a lot of best drama ost. A few years back, to support him, 7-8 thousands female fans wore wedding dress in his concert. To do something extravagant to cheer for their favorite singer.
His first love is music. He is not just a good-looking singer with a great voice, he is really a great musician who knows a lot. Acting is not his first priority, he only does it when the role has some kicks. He turned down the lead role of a lot of romance dramas that girls go crazy about. So he may not have a lot of international fan.
I only watch this drama for Liu Yuning cause, his dramas and roles has kicks. Not just cringe, or romance or glamour but a story.

He loves challenging roles and can turn down the offer of lead roles that he is not interested in. There is a thing, certain role can make someone mega famous overnight even if the role has little credibility or pathetically romantic. Liu Yuning denied those role. He truly gain my respect for that. Anyone who need to fast forward in his acting carrier will take those roles. You see, he is not hiding in his comfort zone, he is taking roles that requires more acting and passion. But it's also a risk for actors who want to pursue a carrier in acting.
Let me be honest, those who gets more recognition and fandom in these countries mostly has a huge backing from entertaining mafia. Singers need to give 80% of their income to those companies that are promoting them. That's the fact.

He lost so much weight so quickly in recent days that I'm loosing my mind over this. It would have been okay if he just shape his body and stay healthy. But China has huge fascination over fair skin and zero figure. Their fandom is somewhat toxic. If you don't know, a can share a story or two about how they control whom they stans. I've seen Chinese celebrity getting skinnier and skinnier and you can almost understand their teeth formation from their jawline.
I just want the entertainment mafia to leave Liu Yuning alone. Don't sucked him up with their greed. For his getting more famous and internationally recognized, I hope and pray he will be with his own strength. He came so far with his own strength and he can shine more and more. I just have this faith in him.
And what if he is not recognized as a actor with a lot of successful dramas in his bag? It's alright. He loves singing, and already gaining more recognition as a OST king. To be recognized as a true singer is already admirable.

I also think Liu Yuning should sing in English. All my favorite Chinese singers sang some really famous English songs. I think he is not confident with his English pronunciation perhaps. But he is alright. He should try it soon. My biggest wish for him that he will sing some English songs. But he did collaborate with English singers. (Search: Liu Yuning, Olly Murs, Corsak - That girl)
My biggest wish actually is that his Chinese fans will translate more and more of his shows and songs. You'll hardly find his shows that are subbed except for "Chinese idol - our song s1".
I think Chinese singers need to have some successful dramas in their bags to become more famous. And if someone just trying to pursue an acting carrier and can't sing, he needs to be really handsome and has megahits like "word of honor" to achieve a goal.
So I misunderstand you. I thought you are talking about his acting carrier while you weren't. You see, he became more famous after "The long Ballad". People knows him as Hau Du. And then when they search for him, they realize, wow he is the singer of my favorite ost, I already love his songs!
I just wish, he doesn't overdo it trying to be more famous with a more secure carrier. He is doing fine and his stand point is fine. It's just enough if he only focuses on his singing carrier and has a few kick-ass dramas. He doesn't need to be a lead or do a lot of dramas which he may not even like. I just wish he knows that.
