A MESSAGE FROM DOCUMENTARY TELEVISION Hey guys thanks for watching the videos, to those of you who watch every video, double thanks. You all should know that it's my intention to film every dog breed. The order in which I film them is truly dependent on a lot of different factors, some of which are out of my control. I am a single person producing the content for this channel, so if I don't get to your request immediately, its not that your being ignored. Its a monumental task I'm taking on, please be patient and enjoy the videos as they come. Thanks!
Dogumentary TV I love thor and Cooper they are absolutely gorgeous and I agree they are perfect!! What age do you start breeding? When do you do your testing?
They look like smaller versions of the Bullmastiff.. I like them and it delights me to hear your guys are on a serious mission to actually breed healthier offspring. I like your dogs!! Good work Andrea!
Simply put. This is a great breed. The creator of this breed is a true dog-man. The strictness he shows on which dogs to breed, the dogs mental and physical health is what makes this a good breed to own. I like how the creator is not trying to recreate what once was because that is simply impossible but he's creating a dog that's similar in appearance with good health and sound temperament.
I have an Olde English Bulldogge... He is the absolute best dog I've ever had! Really well behaved, loving and protective. Super clever and healthy. I would never have another breed after Zeus my Olde English Bulldogge....
cherche éleveurs sérieux pas comme JM'S sont des chiens reproduit entre males et femelle de la meme famille faite attetions a ces éleveurs qui s'enrichissent avec des chiens malade comme JM'S attention dangereux !
I love English bulldogs and I really wanted to own one, but after discovering the Leavitt Bulldogs I can see how much better they are. They have the same cool look and personality as English but live healthy lives and can run and play like other dogs. I want a dog like Buster!
I got a American bd x old English bulldogge and it's a beast it knocks the shit out of my pittbull . it sends it spinning through the air when they collide . one day my 12month 8.6 stone dog run in full pelt and used his chest to tackle the pitt and hit her so hard it bruised the back leg socket so bad it took 2 weeks for her to walk right again. he's a big clumbsy soft touch who runs and then can't stop it's hilarious.
I've owned Bulldogs . I must say , these Leavitt Bulldogs look incredible . More like an old fashioned bull baiting bulldog but without the meanness . My Bulldogs suffered with lots of health issues I would like to have one of these . All the looks and none of the health issues . Well done .
I've had an English and an olde English bulldogge. I totally fell in love with the olde english. Very athletic and resilient. And extremely attached to loyalty
Seriously. Some people are so caught up in making their dogs seem so elite that they gotta mispronounce shit on purpose. They must love the smell of their own farts.
These are the best breed ever, just their karakter alone ❤ Had one for 8 years, he was a rescue dog that rescued me during my burnout 😊 Best dog ever! Smart, genle and docile. Saved my from 3 muggings just by being alert, wide and one bark was enough ❤
ThAnk you for this video because a lot of ppl just breed dogs for money putting out bad dogs but it seems like you’ve done a lot of research an really passionate about what your doing and not putting out garbage dogs thank you for that
it is pronounced like that you idiot at least in America it's a different dog than a British bulldog that's why they pronounce it like that duh hello the lights are on is anybody home
i Owned and bred American Bulldogs for years. My pure Johnson dog "Hoss The Boss" was the 1st Johnson AB to ofa Excellent with his hips. There are various lines down form him today, one of the best Kennels breeding the Hoss line is Big Sky Kennels. I did own A Leavitt OEB. He was a cool dog. Interestingly, When David Leavitt Used John Johnsons dog for his outcross, .he gave Johnson a pair of Gyps out of that outcross.. The Leavitt dogs do breed true with the occasional throw back of the screw tail. Nice video and nice Leavitt Dogs.
Beautiful and very smart,I love mine she is social but when it comes to protection she is definitely a Bully . I rescued mine so I was really blessed to be accepted by her at the foster
One of the best bulldogs I've seen are owned by Chadde from the RUclips channel named 1st508thairborne. Breed name : Renaissance Bulldog. Check it out. He has done amazing work with the breed.
Actually, its RENASCENCE Bulldogge. The word basically means the same thing as Renaissance (rebirth or renewal), but he has made it clear that they are to be called Renascence and not Renaissance. That being said, they are amazing dogs, and what he has accomplished with them is incredible. They are rather similar in many respects to the Leavitt Bulldogges, but there are a few key differences. First of all, breed make up; just like in the Leavitt: English bulldog, Bullmastiff, American bulldog, and American pit bull terrier were used (specifically Old Family Red Nose and Sorrell line pits in the Renascence), but Chadde also included Hermes bulldogs, and some English mastiff when developing the breed. Also, Renascence Bulldogges come in more color varieties. Leavitts only recognize black-nosed varieties (including black, fawn, and brindle, and any of these may be pied), so if it has a red nose (or blue or chocolate), it's not a Leavitt. In Renascence Bulldogges however, there are red/red-nosed dogs as well as chocolate/liver (I think), and due to the Sorrell pit bull, they can also be black-and-tan/ tri-color, which I don't think exist in Leavitts either. Finally, Renascence average a bit larger. While I believe Leavitts are usually about 50 to 70 lbs, Renascence Bulldogges typically fall in the 60 to 100 lbs range. Also I believe docked tails are permissible in the Renascence (usually if the puppy's tail is kinked) but straight, natural tails are the ideal. All of this has come together, and after 25+ years of selective breeding he has produced a sound, athletic bulldog breed, free of breathing issues and with a stable, working temperament, equally comfortable on the hiking trail, doing bite work, or as a family companion. They also apparently test completely free of any of the genetic health issues that Embark currently tests for. Quite a feat when you consider that English bulldogs are one of the unhealthiest breeds and the others used are not exactly free of health issues either. Now he has begun the process of producing another new breed, the Lycan Shepherd, for which his goals are to produce a healthy, general purpose, working type shepherd dog with a calm, stable temperament suitable for a variety of working roles (service dog, police dog, search and rescue, etc.), and as a good family companion, which resembles a wild wolf in its appearance and sound conformation (hence the 'Lycan'). The breeds currently being utilized in its creation are the Blue Bay Shepherd (itself a breed in progress that includes German Shepherd (primarily), wolf, Alaskan Malamute, Norwegian Elkhound, etc.), working line German Shepherd, Belgian Malinois and I believe some other lower content wolfdogs will be utilized as well, though other breeds may be added later on. He has already produced his first "F2" Lycan litter, and at almost 7 months old, they are turning out phenomenally. I cannot wait to see the finished product for this breed. Back to the bulldogs, in my opinion the Leavitt and the Renascence (as well as perhaps the Continental Bulldog) are the best attempts at bulldog recreations that I have seen, although these particular Leavitts in this video look too short and thick-set compared to most other examples of the breed that I've seen. Other lines such as Hermes and Evolution Bulldogges are decent too, though I don't like how they dishonestly call their dogs "Olde English Bulldogges" when they are not Leavitt Bulldogges and do not match his standards (I also don't like the docked/screwed tails that seem to be standard for those dogs). It's copy-cats like them that caused the Leavitts to change their name. Of course, other breeds such as American Bulldogs (especially the "Scott" type, and I'm not just saying that because of the name) and Alapaha Blue Bloods are great bulldog alternatives too, but I see them more as their own entities rather than bulldog recreations. Anyway, I've gone on more than long enough, and I doubt anyone will ever see this, so Good Night and God Bless You!
charlie doherty You can if you really wanted to,some breeders in uk or Eu, and they even ship from the U states to uk my friend got and AmBull frm states no problem,
I'm in California now, I would like to meet you and introduced one of my dogs living here in California, also enjoyed seeing them biking or hiking. THANK YOU !
oh wow. i’m just learning about this breed, what is the average price i should expect? and you mentioned one of the dogs being trained to be. service animal. thought is even more of a reason for me to like these little guys
I agree I agree with you in every way oldies are the best dogs ever every dog wrapped into one believe it or not it's true these dogs are fantastic for all around whatever you want them to be they will be believe it because they are the dog and you know what dog spelled backwards is so these guys are the Kings leave it very good job I wish I could have brung this breed Back 40 50 years ago I guess it is 40 50 years ago oh s*** sorry about that I guess it has been 50 years I wish I would have had him in the 60s and 70s where I was I would have loved that when you something I first seen this breed they were $1,500 for a scrap pup I throw away and now look what we have today like I said they're kings and always will be the Bulldog is back thank you for all your work and effort over the years you have made the perfect dog once again
I definitely like the functionality and health being an focus here that you can actually see. Would like to see a bit more muzzle but they’re definitely on the right path
After our French bulldog passed away from meningitis at the age of 8 and a life full of bad medical conditions, we decided to get an Old English Bulldog from a renowned breeder in Germany. The room was full of prices and the dog was beautiful as one can hope for. Her character was a dream and she loved our children to death. But she suffered from bad breathing and we had to get her soft palate removed because it was so long that every breath sucked the tissue into the trachea. After recovery she was doing much better but the breathing worsened a couple of months later and she suffocated a month ago during a trip after 5 minutes of walking. We tried everything but she died in my arms. My heart is broken and my conclusion is that no matter what you do it is a matter of luck to have a healthy bulldog. I hope one day I will get lucky.
Love the idea of what David Leavitt done, but this woman is making her dogs more like the English bulldog that David was trying to get away from, I have two old English Bulldogs
Your bulldogs have the short nose. I would guess they do not like very hot temperatures. How athletic are they? How tall are they and how much on average do they weigh?
totally love your videos and appreciate all your hard fruitful work, i'd like to know what you know about Kangal dog in USA and hope to see a video for the dog soon :), I'm also very curious about how breeders make a new breed, like after they set their goal what do they do with the extra puppies and how do they choose the one they need , I got a background idea from this wonderful breeder but would appreciate details thank you.
Is the rose heart bulldoggy's kennel still up and running it looks like the site hasn't been updated updated, And there is no address for the kennel location. I live in SoCal and I'm looking to adopt a puppy very soon
Omg! Finally, I think I figured out what kind of bulldog I have! We were told she was an Old English bulldog. But when I started looking them up they didn't look the same. So I've been researching off n on for a few months now. So now my question is this, is she an Old English Bulldog or a Leavitt (sp?) Bulldog? Or both? I'd love to know for sure.
A nice breed of dog to look at yes but it does not in any shape or form look like an original bull baiting dog from England of the 1800’s or earlier. For a start off, they are too low, they need to be higher in the leg. They are also lacking the wheel back that came from the greyhound. The muzzle is way too short as well. Nobody has come anywhere near to what one would look like originally..

Dogumentary TV I love thor and Cooper they are absolutely gorgeous and I agree they are perfect!! What age do you start breeding? When do you do your testing?
I wuld say that the renessance bulldog is the best recreation of the origensl bulldog :)
Dogumentary TV (that (European toshiba' email (while, supposed "green?
Dogumentary TV European: estimates euro since
Dogumentary TV Wow, thanks a lot. I love it love it love it. Entertaining and informative
I like how they focus on health and structurely sound dogs. This what the American Bullies need asap. Great video Zeke
American bullies are all for looks, those owners could care less I feel
The way they breathe i doubt they're focused on health
American bullies breeders are mostly in it for the money and not the care of the dog.
They look like smaller versions of the Bullmastiff..
I like them and it delights me to hear your guys are on a serious mission to actually breed healthier offspring. I like your dogs!! Good work Andrea!
They do!! The mastiff is my absolute favourite ❤❤
Wow! Cooper he is a beautiful dog. Gorgeous coat.

You can twist and turn it any way you want...the longer the snout the sounder the breathing apparatus....and a dog needs all the air it can get...
Plus the more open and round the nostrils the better.
Simple truth is this: smash faced dogs are not good and should not be bred.
Coca-Cola light is a much better coke than the original Coca-Cola
it looks like mini bullmastif
prooudd thats a good thing.but other colors with white makes it look more bulldog.
But old timey bulldogs were white along with brown.... These dogs just look like small bullmastiffs
I agree. doesn't look like a bulldog. more like a bullmastiff.
Ernie Christmas ig that was the purpise of this video.to show the world the levitt line looks different from the other lines.

I appreciate the good lines in the fact that the legs aren't bowed and generally speaking, hes not distorted. I really love that.
I was looking for an English and bought a Leavitt Olde English. She is very protective and sweet. Incredibly smart.

Brilliant! Our bully really took after his Frenchie mom so we fixed him. He's the best pet you could ask for.
Bulldogge is not pronounced Bulldoggy. Same as ye olde shoppe is not pronounced ye oldy shoppy.
Seriously. Some people are so caught up in making their dogs seem so elite that they gotta mispronounce shit on purpose. They must love the smell of their own farts.
hahahahah SO TRUE!!
Absolutely! Noticed it immediately

Cooper what a handsome dog, serious. Makes me fall in love with this sport all over again.
Cooper is the most gorgeous bulldog I've ever seen!
I'm English and believe me it is not pronounced bull doggy!
pushkar
John Roughneen I couldn't even finish watching this with that dumbass woman. Get a better promoter for your videos. hippie trying to be smart lol.
John Roughneen it is as it's olde English bulldogge
I think she pronounces that to differentiate from the abomination called English Bulldog
it is pronounced like that you idiot at least in America it's a different dog than a British bulldog that's why they pronounce it like that duh hello the lights are on is anybody home
Watched the full video very nice dogs love it
I first read about these dogs in a a book called gladiator dogs. Very beautiful representation of the ancient breed.
Me too still have that book
Awesome Bulldog ! Thanks.

Great video was waiting for this one! She does a great job too
I love this breed! I almost bought one from Dave Leavitt. Back in 1992! I wanted a rare dog breed.
The Renascence Bulldogge is the best recreation I've seen by Chadde JoliCoeur. Real healthy working dogs
One of the best bulldogs I've seen are owned by Chadde from the RUclips channel named 1st508thairborne.

Your bulldogs have the short nose. I would guess they do not like very hot temperatures. How athletic are they? How tall are they and how much on average do they weigh?

+Troy Campbell thanks bro I'll do my best!
totally love your videos and appreciate all your hard fruitful work, i'd like to know what you know about Kangal dog in USA and hope to see a video for the dog soon :), I'm also very curious about how breeders make a new breed, like after they set their goal what do they do with the extra puppies and how do they choose the one they need , I got a background idea from this wonderful breeder but would appreciate details thank you.
Cooper is a beautiful dogge!!
Is the rose heart bulldoggy's kennel still up and running it looks like the site hasn't been updated updated, And there is no address for the kennel location.
I live in SoCal and I'm looking to adopt a puppy very soon
Stunning
They are beautiful dogs
It looks very nice. I like the idea of "healthier English bulldog".
How is the breathing quality ?
Omg! Finally, I think I figured out what kind of bulldog I have! We were told she was an Old English bulldog. But when I started looking them up they didn't look the same. Beautiful dogs !
If you want to see what a working Bulldog should look like, look at American Bulldogs or Alapaha blue Bulldogs.
Nice dogs but still a lil too short n chunky for me. I think the American bulldog looks best!
Yes sir
Leavitt Bulldog and Olde English Bulldogge are not the same. See ruclips.net/video/qJwYtF9ABgo/видео.html
Ana Karoline - Dogs etc. UKC accepts Leavitt Bulldog as a line of the OEB.
Great video, very informative.
+DustyCowdog thanks for watching!
Great looking dogs, good video Zeke. This bloodline looks similar to my American bully.
this is my favorite video so far
A beautiful dog
I love this breed it a good breed. 👌🏻
And intelligent.
I love her resolution!
Love ur videos very educational but would be nice in how to be able to contact them or follow them to see on how we can get more info and buy a pup
Great looking breed!
He's Perfect 💎💎💎
A nice breed of dog to look at yes but it does not in any shape or form look like an original bull baiting dog from England of the 1800’s or earlier. For a start off, they are too low, they need to be higher in the leg. They are also lacking the wheel back that came from the greyhound. The muzzle is way too short as well. Nobody has come anywhere near to what one would look like originally..
which camera was used for this? thank you very much
