Definately a good how to. Thanks for posting and speaking about the installation process. It helps alot because each situation always differs slightly.
I enjoyed the video. Question. Why didn't you wrap the frame with tyvek or similar wrap before putting in the window? I see you added it after but I would have expected to see both wrapping before the window in and then after.
This is amazing Frank, thank you!
Good vid
This is a lot hard work involved not for everyone job look nice and clean 👍👍🙏🙏
Did you get a lot of water in the basement, using that saw? I have wood paneling and fairly nice newish white carpeting down there. Is there another decent option for the cutting? Thank you! This is great.
Great channel so helpful for me 😊
What about the drain to the o-pipe?
The house is old enough where it doesn't have one. They should have dug even deeper and wider and backfilled with gravel to create a drainage pit under and around the well so it provides an area for the water to drain. This will just pool like crazy in a big rainfall.
With the plastic on the inside were you able to keep the dust out of the rest of the house?
That's why I came here to see how they managed not the dust but the water, I've done this before and your saw blasts a huge amount of "muddy" water into the basement haha I'd assume you'd basically need to build a shower with poly and something to hold the water on the ground
That saw was great. Well worth the fee
Good job
with a ring saw and mini excavator would you bet that youll finish it fully in one day ?
How come you didn't cut from the inside? Seems like you'd have more leverage?
South Ontario Egress window dose this work out, let me know how to it feel finishing 3\4 on an 8 hour day, ultralight ex, and ring saw/ loader / trailer
is there no flashing needed on the wood border
did they say anything about whether flashing was needed or not?
Nice
that saw now cost about 1k a day tool is 75 a day bar is 300 and blade is 700.....
Now I can do it without a permit! 😂
What was the cost?
Nose mete el agua
Para nada, por eso escarbamos mas hondo y pusimos graba de drenaje para que el agua no se meta adentro
Next time try a cut and brake saw
The total rental cost should be no more than $200, and it is way faster
I would never hire this company. They didn't even seal (culk) the outside frame creases before adding flashing. Absolutely unprofessional.
