Juan Carmach: Digital Anthropology for the Public Good

Juan Carmach, Project Officer of the Partnership for the Advancement of Digital Anthropology at UNESCO held a lecture at 5th UNESCO MOST Winter School. He stressed that digital anthropology has the potential to deepen our understanding of digital communities and shed light on the complex interplay between technology and its users. He spoke about the impact of social media and algorithms on society and introduced some of the key solutions digital anthropology is offering to promote ethical and inclusive decision-making. He also revealed UNESCO’s work on advancements in the field of digital anthropology.
