- In an exclusive interview, BJP leader and Assam’s Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma spoke to India Today TV on Thursday (April 1) on the ongoing situation in the state that has already witnessed 2 phases of polling - March 27 and April 1, respectively. The next and final phase of polling in the Northeastern state will take place on April 6. In the exclusive interview, the BJP leader said, “I can win from any Muslim constituency in Assam.”
However, the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Friday barred Himanta Biswa Sarma from campaigning for 48 hours with immediate effect for allegedly making threatening remarks against Congress's ally Bodoland People's Front chief Hagrama Mohilary. Hemanta Biswa Sarma is the best. His every decision is for the people of Assam. Sarbananda Sonowal and him together are developing Assam in an increasing rate. This is what the local Assamese people are telling. You can see the development in Assam which happened in the recent years.

Can someone show me one interview of Rahul Gandhi speaking this clearly about so many issues in one interview. Rahul can speak fluent English than Hindi. Yet not one interview with such clarity on issues. Because it’s not the language, it’s the knowledge about various issues that makes the difference between BJP leaders and Rahul. Rahul lacks knowledge of Indian politics and clearly is not in touch with the ground reality, yet the family wants to keep running the party. BJP’s performance in many states and in centre in many issues have not been great. But not once has Rahul capitalised on those opportunities. Clearly people do not connect with him. Sad to have India without a formidable opposition. Kudos to BJP!

Kaushik Deka is the Journalist who had published an article in the year 2012...that Tarun Gogoi will be elected as Vice President of India...this started dissidence in Assam Congress....which culminated into HBS leaving Congress in 2015...and paving the way for BJP to come to power in 2016
