I cant believe this books exist, so important, im glad u reviewed them! Love your content, thank you very much and congratulations on such an amazing channel
I learned cuneiform in elementary school. And I only just realized how absurd that was when I watched this. A.R. George's first name is Andrew. Extispicy is more frequently called haruspex in the Western tradition. Although it seems morbid now, remember that in premodern times people lived alongside livestock, the butchering wasn't relegated to factories outside of view. So access to entrails would have been less unusual. I suppose as a vegetarian (me too) it's unlikely to be of use. How did you stumble upon this, by the way? Copies are quite expensive. I find I'm watching quite a few of your videos. It's been a welcome respite.
Such an amazing edition, thanks for the review, as always, very very good. I wanted to ask you for recommendation on Esoteric and Magic History books, know any?
Odd that in all the years I've been watching your channel I seemed to have missed this gem and the very day, no actually immediately after I decide to do a deep dive into sumerian/Akkadian and Babylonian spiritual practices this video pops up in my feed.. I said nothing out loud that may have indicated I was pursuing this nor had I searched for the subject yet online so any algorithm present had nothing to pick up on.. it was pure "coincidence " everything happens for a reason
I am of Assyrian decent. Yes, we still exist believe it or not. By Gods grace. Assyrians in ancient Mesopotamia were known as the initiators of the cradle of civilization. We now speak neo Aramaic. Yes, I still speak a version of an ancient language over 6,000 years old. The language that Jesus Christ spoke. I am also a Christ follower. Jesus is my king. No need for incantations. I serve the greatest power that was, is and is to come.
Fascinating background! However, I'll ask you to tone down the preaching, this isn't the place for triumphalism. My channel welcomes people of many faiths searching for answers. I'm a Christian too, but just because I've found my way to God via the Christian path doesn't mean I think all should. I certainly don't consider that salvation is exclusive to Christianity, and as it turns out, neither does the Second Vatican Council (which is a surprising fact, regardless of whatever else one might think of the Roman Church). Ultimate Divinity goes by many names...
I respect and appreciate your ability to have a conversation. We may not agree, but at least we can be civil. Question. If divinity comes in many names. Then how do you explain what Christ said in John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.“ He is saying there is no other way but through me to salvation/divinity. Also He instructs us to go tell others the good news of the gospel. To proclaim it. Luke 8: 39 “Return to your home, and declare how much God has done for you.” And he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole city how much Jesus had done for him.“ Matthew 28:19-20 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” These are Christ’s instructions.
@@assyrianrelief yes. The Christ is Immanuel 'God within us' (not, as the Church of Rome conveniently chose to translate it - 'God among us'). This Christos as the Christian tradition has chosen to call it, really is the only way to the Father, but Jesus of Nazareth didn't have a monopoly on the 'God within us' 😉 we're lucky, however to have the example he set in how he fully embraced that 'God within'.
As usual, this is a pleasant review to watch; but I am also intrigued. It seems that you may have been somewhat unfamiliar with Andrew George's published work. If I may ask, how did you decide to acquire these books? And given the divinization methods (and your prior mentions of ethics in your videos), is this more along the lines of academic interest? Tell all, good man!
Great questions :D I didn't know Andrew George before getting this book. Naturally, I had to read the book to know what methods were suggested therein. Some of the domestic omen lists and the augury table look like they might be usable. But ultimately, you're right, I would have booght the book regardless since the topic is fascinating, if a little sad as it gives us a very direct, firsthand view on a very harsh reality where the life tragedies of simple people (such as a malformed stillborn baby) are not private and for personal mourning, but to be "read" as a sign about the advancement of a political ruler. This is to be expected, of course, given that our cult of the induvidual is only four or five centuries old, and specific to the West, but the firsthand account is still moving.

There are ways 😉 see the links to the Divinatory texts in the description? Use the US one or the Europe one to search for Cusas 32. They have them 👌

Hmm must’ve been heavy days in Sumer to require some of those grim approaches. I also thought that was an ancient Anglo symbol on the cover!
