some terrific games here, Simon. Your tactical sacrifices are GREAT to watch

2:22:40 fun fact, the guy you were playing against (apart from being Dutch in the first place) also recorded his own video series on the Dutch. So it was a fun little encounter to watch in the Dutch defense.

This channel makes me imagine a world where chess is judged by the most interesting moves rather than the best ones.
Simon, sir, you would be world champion.

i finally finished the titled tuesday installment, the video rocks. you played some very excellent games and indeed came very close in a few others... life is always improving, go simon.

Wow 1:34:00 what AWESOME MOVES with multiple sacrifices for a forced mate in about 13 you pulled! Love your channel love your videos Simon. Just for feed back would be cool if you can do something about your screen names. It's blurred. Other then that, keep up the great work!

It's awesome entertainment, don't know if I like it more to watch you play or your instructional lessons (last watched the London System series), very likable and entertaining! I only started playing 4 months ago, but you (with others) helped me get to 1250 in rapid from fuck nowhere, so thank you! (And I liked your rook G5 :D)

33:18 this is a textbook win for Black, the Bishop can't defend both pawns on one diagonal, so the king just helps the pawn which is defended by the white bishop and he queens.

Hi Ginger GM, I find the scrolling distracting. My eyes keep getting drawn to the moving text. Have you considered just having a simple list of subscribers? The scrolling was so distracing that I was about to stop watching when I latched onto the idea of haning a sheet of paper over that part of the screen. I like the broadcasts. Peter

All you people talking about his "weak play", especially in that chat like Chessmiller, I'd like to see you play better than SImon. Better yet, I'd like to see you play in a high rated blitz tournament against GMs and IMs.

If the white king wasn't in check (last move was Bg5+ by black), Qh5+ should be Qh5#. The dark-squared bishop is cutting the dark flight squares.

It never ceases to amaze me as to how you guys [ie GM's] can make a complete mockery of everything us lesser players have ever been taught or have studied about the opening phase of a game and still win!! So, if you can play like that and get away with it, what's the point of EVER studying opening theory?????

Simon - you need to have some sort of "fan competition" where the winner gets to come over and hang out in England for a day or so, drink beer &/or wine and play some chess with the Ginger. Sounds freaking awesome! :-)
