Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr had me on a roll keep up the great work I learn more and more everytime as I’m only 19 and been doing drain cleaning/plumbing for a year
As a fellow plumber, i can confirm. These voices exist in my thoughts. Cant please everyone. Thats what ive learned throughout my years. You do great work and inspires me to upgrade my own tools.
I've never used mega lock but in general ptf tape and pipe dope does not "seal leaks". It just helps lubricate the threads so it gets deep enough for the interference fit
If you're referring to the fitting he speaks about doing in his next video that would make sense based on configuration but not on location, what the hell would you need tempered water there for? Maybe some kind of backflow preventer with a blow off that's piped to a drain someplace underground but it should have an airgap then so I'm not certain either
In Texas you’re not allowed to have a union on a backflow. Theory behind it is it’s way too easy to steal it and or too easy for the customer to remove it without decommissioning it.
@@tambourvideocause customers can be cheap. We have that problem a lot in Texas restaurants. Some customers will remove the guts on older style backglows. Seen one guy run a bypass around his and tried to disguise it as supply lines to different equipment
I used to be certified but I let it lapse years ago. Most boring class ever and people test them for around $25. Wasn’t even worth my time. It was almost as boring as the asbestos abatement class.
Tell me more! I started in irrigation in the San Francisco at the tail end of the hydraulic controller era, when RP's were new. There were lots of atmospheric breakers around, some 5' above ground! But I've never seen that three direction device before, I'm very curious!
Good job leaving that service off until that RP is tested and certified. Not sure what code you follow but out here ASSE requires all new backflows to be tested once installed before restoring service to the property.
As an electrician unions are a no go in my world. Every master has told me I camt use em. Crazy to see plumbers always use them. You do you tho not hating just funny to see how different trades see things.
I know this is months late, but I was taught by my dad to never use a union on a main line, anything that’s under constant pressure. I’d bet those unions go bad before the backflow. They’re great for repairs on things individual sprinkler zones, but I’d never use one on anything that’s under full pressure, especially if the pipes schedule 40. Also, you never need more than Teflon tape for a watertight seal…
This has to be the funniest "ERRR" ever 😂😂😂
Better check on them I think they crashed. :)
Bloody oath!! 🤣🤣
😂😂💯 agree 😂😂
And the longest

You’ve got to love a great plumber with a sense of humor!
These days both are in short supply
Great looking work, and excellent voice voiceovers! I think thats the longest "ERRRRRRR" we've experienced 😂
You're providing top quality detailed work, jokes, tips and wisdom. Sheesh
Hey boi!!! Back in my day, we didn’t have these fancy backflow devices…we just poisoned the water!!!
I’m glad the voice overs are back! I got worried there for a second lol.
Me too, but he has said that the voice overs take time to do and I'm sure at the end of the day he's just tired...
Man, I can watch these all day. I love it.
Thank you for your vids. Very informative and I appreciate the tool links.
Love watching your plumbing videos! Thanks man
In Chicago I would have hand forged that valve out of solid lead and cigarette ashes. While watching reruns of Mr Ed!
One of my favorite videos
This guy is hilarious! Not a plumber and definitely enjoy learning something new.
What if....... ERRRRRRRRRR you're a good plumber 👍🏼
Glad to see someone in the trade like you.
Nicely done looks good "BOY" love the videos keep em coming!!!😅😅😅
That Errrrrrrrr was on GTA level! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Extended “errrrrr” frickin hilarious.
Dude that brush to remove old tape works the best. If someone don’t like that way the 1940’s way of doing it is their other option.
😂😂🤣 I knew O.G. was going to have a problem with that little wire brush 😂🤣🤣🤣
That valve looks like some type of mineral and sediment catcher.
Got some of those kniplex smooth jaws love em
I listen and watch for the old grumpy plumber voice lol
I kinda wish you did the old timers voice for the whole video.
He did in one of the shorts 😂
@@aurvaroy6670sauce?
Using the drill with a fitting brush to take off teflon… Nice. I’ve always just used it for cleaning copper but that’s handy
I love that you can laugh at yourself, bro!
Excellent work!
I think the strainer should be installed before the backflow preventer?
I know everyone says it but the voices are just the friggen best! 🤣🤣🤣 Also your work is clean as! Can't wait for the next one 😃👍
You’re a good man.
Hahahaha keep it up brother you’re doing a fine job!!
That eeeerrrrr had the perfect pitch for a tea kettle 😅
That extended “errrrrrrr” 😂😂
I've never used mega lock but in general ptf tape and pipe dope does not "seal leaks". It just helps lubricate the threads so it gets deep enough for the interference fit
Great job man.
Beautiful Job as always
Ahahahahahahaha I loved the long errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
A comment for the algorithm
Is that a thermostatic mixing valve?
It typically mixes hot and cold water to a set temperature point and it also maintains that temperature...
No this is an rp valve used as like a backflow for irrigation or something of that sort
If you're referring to the fitting he speaks about doing in his next video that would make sense based on configuration but not on location, what the hell would you need tempered water there for? Maybe some kind of backflow preventer with a blow off that's piped to a drain someplace underground but it should have an airgap then so I'm not certain either
Another great video. Hilarious. How tightly do you connect the unions? I know it’s more than hand tight, but is it big wrench or little wrench?
Big wrench
As another stated best "ERRR" Yet😂😂😂😂
I believe the other fitting was the 3 port thingamajig by zurn
Ah, RP jobs, my favorite, you get alotnof brass for the ol' scrap pule and certifying backflows is just clean fun...oh my god, ive become that plumber
In Texas you’re not allowed to have a union on a backflow. Theory behind it is it’s way too easy to steal it and or too easy for the customer to remove it without decommissioning it.
Theft is certainly a big problem. Maintenance is easy, don't see why customer would remove one, especially when it protects their water supply.
@@tambourvideocause customers can be cheap. We have that problem a lot in Texas restaurants. Some customers will remove the guts on older style backglows. Seen one guy run a bypass around his and tried to disguise it as supply lines to different equipment
You do good work
👏💯❤️🔥 Good job Evan keep up the great work your doing 🙂
What if? 😂 the haters are always gonna hate… top work my man 👍🏻
Hey boy ?? Nice videos..can you explain the new style Teflon and the blue dope pipe used together..thanks
The parrot never gets old!
Do you test and certify the backflow preventer or do you hire that out?
I used to be certified but I let it lapse years ago. Most boring class ever and people test them for around $25. Wasn’t even worth my time. It was almost as boring as the asbestos abatement class.
@BlueDart1971 sheesh in my area the lowest you'll pay is $125
@@rome4060 basically a bunch of handymen got certified and competed against each other. Most plumbers said it’s not worth our time anymore.
I believe the 3 way valve thing is a really old anti hammer irrigation tee.
Tell me more! I started in irrigation in the San Francisco at the tail end of the hydraulic controller era, when RP's were new. There were lots of atmospheric breakers around, some 5' above ground! But I've never seen that three direction device before, I'm very curious!
Is that not an irrigation backflow presenter at the end as well?
So, this area never has freezing temperatures?
What is the advantage of an aluminum pipe wrench over cast iron? Is it the weight or the material you are using it on?
I love this guy errrrrrr I just don’t want to read it 😂😂 much love
What if... you did a totally awesome job(which you did) 👏 👍
Exelent and clean job.
Do you have to test the backflow after the repair?
You are a very funny man. Keep it up. 😂
"Hey Boay" always so... proactive😂
Is it a pressure regulating valve?
I thought the "K" in Knipex was silent lol. Love the content!
Great job young man
Looks good .
You are the man though my guy 🙌
Are u certified to test backfliw in my area plumbers can replace them if someone 3rd party tests em
Good job leaving that service off until that RP is tested and certified. Not sure what code you follow but out here ASSE requires all new backflows to be tested once installed before restoring service to the property.
He lowkey lives for the trolls 😂
I love haters
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hey Boy! You’re a good plumber!
Eerrrrrr! I agree!
Dumb question… does it matter if the nit on the center union is facing up or down???
👌👌👌👸
You’re the best 😂😂😂😂
Looked like a flow control. Usually see them on older boilers.
RPZ are my favorite for some reason
Ok, what if......lol Good work. Have a great day and work safe. See ya in the next one.
Love your stuff dude.
The long "eerrrrrrrrrr"😂😂😂😂
Helluva job. You can work on my jobsite any day... too bad you're too far away
Hey boy,
How many hush puppies can you get for that job😅
Oh,and i just don't like saying knipex😅😅😅😂
Was that backflow for the irrigation?
Yes
Did you test it after the installation like required?
did you test it after the installation like required🤓
Hay boi
Dam fine job
Errrrrrrrr
Me2
Bawk
Why is the pipeline strainer downstream of the bfp?
Eeeeeerrrrr this video is GREAT!
Hello. write down what you are winding on the thread and what you are winding with, what it is called.
Nice show
Beautiful!

Thanks 👍🏻👍🏻
Pretty sure the Y-Strainer comes before the PRV. ;-)
This commentary is hilarious 😂
Do you have to insulate water pipes in Sac?
“Hey boy you better sweep up where you work on my job site boy!!!!” But it’s dirt?! “Get off my job site boy!!”
Very cool
Crazy to see pipes like this when i live in the north
They have insulated covers that go over and protect them normally. This is just some old insulation taped on. It's lasted though! 😂
Are u certified to install & test those ?? Once installed they need tested . Just an fyi … atleast that’s how it is where I’m from
That last fittint...is it a mixing valve?
What if you get dirt in the pipe?
"ehhhhyyy boyeeee"🤣🤣
Big money
