This is how I feel currently about my grandma because last year both her and my Papa were alive and well at their house where we'd all gather on Christmas Eve and eat big and opened presents in the living room and laughed. But we lost Papa late February of this year. And now my grandma is in poor health in the hospital with bad kidneys and almost a complete lack of appetite. This woman is my best friend. It's looking like she will not make it to Christmas this year, which is just after her 87th birthday. Being with her is often therapeutic and a sight for sore eyes after a long, hard day at work. She used to give me very cool presents as a kid, and Christmas would not feel the same without her and Papa. Everyone pray for me as I personally deal with this because, honestly, I'm not taking it well.
