When we met (1992) my wife had a '90 240 SX with a 5 speed manual. She really loved that car. The power curve went pretty flat above 5k RPM (probably could have been fixed with a good tune), but it still very fun to drive. I don't know if this has been done before but you could experiment with OEM subframe bushings with the open areas filled with silicone caulk. Seems to me it would make it a little stiffer without going over the top.
Hey that’s awesome! Yeah these KA engines have crappy factory camshafts and cylinder head flow suffers. It literally feels like you’ve hit a brick wall In acceleration. I shift pretty low in the rpm range when “racing” As far as the silicone method. People have been doing that for years with these cars. I have in the past. I already ordered some bushings. Hopefully those show up here in the next couple of days.
Looking good man! I love the SX!
Thanks bro! I have put off working on it long enough!
Feels good seeing you work on yours right when I’m about to start working on mine 😭
I aim to inspire! 💪🏾 get in the garage my guy!

Nice job man im in the middle of doing the same thing. Just im doing the s14 subframe and going all gktech arms.
Nice! Going to do your subframe bushings as well? So far the rear end has been holding up great! Much more stable than before.
