Hi my friend. I think to be really honest I've been there done that worn the t-shirt. Caught the big salmon caught the big trout. These days I'm more mature 😂😂😂believe it or not. I'm easily pleased, when things don't go to plan i take it in my stride 😊 I'm happy just getting out to the bank of the lake and if i don't catch a fish it's not the end of the world 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. I'm just happy getting out into the wilderness and enjoying my own company and time on my own away from the rat race.

Vincent, that was over 30 years ago when I was fishing lough currane, the fishing was a lot better then, the commeragh river had plenty of salmon and seatrout. Flor.

I fished with him only a couple of weeks ago for mackerel in cobh. I didn't make a video just fishing. He was with his wife and some of his kids. His wife was pulling them out one after the other. Thanks so much for watchingandforyourgreatcomment. I phoned Hans a few times before i left the lake couldn't get through to him. He eventually phoned me back told me his boat has a fake bottom but its leaking and the fake bottom is always full of water. Safe for fishing just the bottom is full of water. He took his boat off the lake since, he'll probably sort it out during the off second. He's a top man. Knows the lake so well and has had many a great day on the lake. Please God I'll meet up with his next year and learn some of his secrets. 😂😂😂

The stones just under the water are all shapes and sizes that would never work. You would need about 6 strong men and ropes it could be lifted and dragged down to the lake. I don't have 6 friends 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 next year please God won't be as dry as this year. Thanks for watching and commenting cheers

I've caught congers off the Monkstown pier years ago big ones. There not a fish i would have any interest in catching. I'd prefer to catch one mackerel than a big conger. Monkstown pier used be great for cod fishing many years ago long before you were ever born. I'm going back nearly 50 years ago. I used catch lots of them nowadays there small and you would only catch one or two. So i usually don't bother doing any sea fishing during the winter months. I just relax and play my guitar. But if your down there i hope you catch a big one.

A shame you couldn't get the boat on the lake. It looks to me that some time in the past, an excavator may have been used to deepen and widen the channel? There is lots of rock on the shore. If so, could this be done again? Have you ever fished in the Shannon River? I've read all of Frank McCourts books and would love to be one day thrown into the Shannon lol. cheers.
That lake used to be a lot smaller. They put a damb on it and the lake rose. Where my boat is that's up the river. When the lake dropped to much my boat is stuck in a pool on the river. You would have to dig very deep down and you would end up with a waterfall it just isn't possible. It might never go that low ever again. Fingers crossed. Never fished the Shannon. A mighty river.

Two many rocks to move thousands. Move the boat nearer to the lake maybe. It was the lowest the lake was in living memory. The boats in killarney on Lough Lean were all stuck and no angler could get onto the lake never happened before. Please God it will never happen again in my life time. Next year I'll spend lots of weekends on the lake and learn its secrets and catch the biggest fish. 😂😂😂😂😂

My plan is to spend the last day of the fishing season out in my boat which is Saturday sleep on the beach and head home Sunday morning. Please God if the weather is good. You should go conger fishing on the pier in Monkstown

The boats in killarney on Lough Lean were all stuck and no angler could get onto the lake never happened before. Please God it will never happen again in my life time. Next year I'll spend lots of weekends on the lake and learn its secrets and catch the biggest fish. 😂😂😂😂😂

The tent might have invited himself to ur sleeping bag and ur whiskey now that would really piss u off, might have to get on to the local radio station and ask all the people in killarney to stop using the water because the mad fisherman can’t get his boat out , great video all the same ,as usual p.s heading down to Waterville this weekend it ur interested
Thanks for the great comment you really made me laugh. Hans contacted me yesterday telling me i can now finally get my boat into the lake. My plan is to spend the last day of the fishing season out in my boat which is Saturday sleep on the beach and head home Sunday morning. Please God if the weather is good. Thanks for your lovely kind offer. Time just flies. There was so many things i had planned and wanted to do. But another year is over. Just can't believe it Chris. Please God next year we will meet up for a good weekend of fishing and fun. Enjoy your last weekend hope you catch that elusive salmon and seatrout.
