      $10,000 for their mid-range table would be better spent invested in a nice index fund. 20 years from now that investment will triple in value. Unfortunately, the table will depreciate, and will eventually be sold for $200 at an estate sale by your kids when you pass on.

    • @bnorberg988
      @bnorberg988 5 лет назад +8

      @@DanLimbach Certainly true.
      Of course the table may be a a better investment than 99% of the cars out there. Just take a look at Antiques Roadshow. This table is arguably a work of art, and has very low production numbers. In 20 years you may have stayed evenish or gained. I doubt you can say that about a 2019 Hyundai Sonata. And when you factor in insurance maintenance and gas,....well cars are money losers.
      Of course the real question is; Which will bring you better memories?
      It's a personal lifestyle choice.
      Game playing with your friends or driving a car.
      I'll take my friends, the table, and a bicycle.

      If you go into the actual item section, you have to choose your wood type and Red Oak (the least expensive) is $5000 USD, with figured Myrtle being $15000 USD.
      And you were right the first time that a person can make their own table; it may not always be feasible depending on space available, etc.. but if you already have your own garage, then sure. It'll just take you time after you get the materials... and at the end of the day, you'll probably never reach the $5000 starter price tag of this table.

    This is a piece of fine furniture made from solid hardwood(and lots of it), has a custom mechanical lift, some pretty hard to find features as well as a lot of design. Oh, It's also made in the US. Try to find a quality solid walnut dining table for under $3,000, you will get what you pay for. And to those saying they would DIY one, give it a shot! It can be done and it's a very rewarding endeavor but it's also very expensive, time consuming and labor intensive.
    Bottom line is this, some people think a fancy sport car with all the bells and whistles is a waste of money. Some people see the value in the high performance and are willing to pay for it. This isn't a table made for everyone and you should be OK with that. They aren't ripping anyone off, it's fairly priced, and they offer tables that meet all your gaming needs while sporting a much lower price tag.

    Ur table looks amazing and is cool but my table is not as pretty as urs because I'm on the 1st prototype .ur table just needs roll out leafs on all 4 sides big enough to lay books and character sheets on, I play D&D and the ability to rise up higher to almost eye level while ur seated to emerse u directly into the combat/ gaming experience. I do luv the mechanical and magnetic accessories aspect of ur table for sure and sleekness and beauty & hide away ability with all the aspects u have created and aspects I have created on my table together would create a table of a true gaming legacy. I hav looked at many beautiful gaming tables and ideas. urs is a very nice table for sure.I would luv to work to gether with u guys .

      And it still isn't as good at it's intended job as much cheaper options. Who cares about a magnetic, spill resistant dining table top? Anyone with the money to waste on this has a big enough house to have a dedicated gaming room and doesn't need to worry about it serving double duty as the dining table.
