I find the snarky comments being directed at the dolphins here really bizarre. It’s getting more media attention than it deserves because of the name but it’s objectively a good move. 3 to 8 million for a WR 3 that has a great catch radius, experience, and solid speed. Just a nice move for a solid player on cheap 1 year deal. What’s to hate from the dolphins perspective?
Strongly agree!
Fish can't handle playoff football nor weather. A bunch of little kids led by a dork. lol.
@@billquantrill4960 Thankfully dolphins are mammals. Not fish. And much smarter than you. -100 points for LOL your own lame joke.
@@billquantrill4960 what does any of what you just said have to do with anything I said?
PREACH!
The Dolphins are signing OBJ as a possession WR. In the McDaniel system, Tua throws with anticipation to points on the field and the Dolphins covet OBJ's route running and hands to move the chains. This is not the young OBJ. The only significant YAC I saw OBJ gain at BAL was on a couple crossing routes.
We also have to realize Sneed is gone. This matchup will be a lot different if they meet this year. If McDuffie takes Hill out the picture, Waddle and Beckham should feast.
As a Dolphins fan, I hope OBJ does get to the max part of that deal. That would mean he reached all those incentive marks and good things happened. If he's healthy and has the right mentality, I think it will be a good signing.
Miami has more speed than NASA.
At the end of the day it comes down to the trenches. Please try to sign Dalton reisner
He will be great as long as you give him touches. Clearly my ravens didn’t get the fucking memo
So long as OBJ plays the whole season, for the sake of the Dolphins and for his own well being! I would HATE to see OBJ injured majorly again.
I saw a breakdown video years ago on why OBJ doesn't work in some offenses. Specifically, offenses that are based on timing and precise route running. OBJ tends to freestyle and break from his designed route to get open. Could that get him opened? Possible.
The problem is that his QB doesn't know what route OBJ is running now and has to wait for him. This causes them hang onto the ball longer. On teams with good OL, it's not as bad. On teams with bad OL, QBs get killed waiting for Odell.
People forget that the dolphins offense after losing their entire interior offense to injury (after the 1st qtr VS TEN), became the worst offensive line in the league. They were having to use max pro on any pass play that required more than 2 sec to develop . TUA wasn’t getting the ball out so quick cause he was a 1 read QB, it was out of necessity… pressure up the middle is so much more detrimental than edge pressure, when it’s getting there in fewer than 3 seconds which is what Tua was dealing with vs elite interior defenses.
EXACTLY! Only Person Who sounds like they know wat they’re talking about. CONNOR WILLIAMS was biggest lost to offense. TUA was MVP status with him.
Bro ravens didn’t use him at all and still got 600 yards
It was like after his 116 yard game against the bengals, the ravens where like ye we ain’t the running plays for him for the rest of the season.
I hope he balls out, he still has some left in the tank
He still has a quarter tank left. This season with a good passing QB will be his swan song.
that would be awesome
I think this was one of your best takes yet
3rd and 2 you really should be running the ball, same with 4th and 2. The problem is the blocking cannot provide any push so they have to throw. As a Dolphins fan for a million years I hate this fact. But it's true. Sometimes yours just has to beat theirs. It's that simple.
But this video is about Odell. Yes, he will help a lot in that he'll be against 3rd corners and safeties. I'll take that matchup every day.
1 catch / 1 Achilles tear
Nike D was real excited to draft a train last year. Quite frankly if it wasn't for the injuries he could have led the league in rushing yards. Or close to it
3 million is nothing for a legitimate threat at the 3rd receiver slot.
For w/e reason, when defenses were able to cover both Waddle and hill, nobody else could win their match ups.
Some of that is on Tua. Some of that is on the running game and o-line falling off towards the end of the season. Odell will absolutely help in those situations.
Lastly, even if he makes all 8 million, he's far better than Wilson, and they paid him alot too. At least this year you should get much more impactful plays out of that money and position
He ain't a needle mover no more. It's an okay depth piece, but I doubt it will do anything to increase their win percentage against the top AFC teams in a significant manner.
Welcome to the Miami Dolphins OBJ!!!
He brings an increase in ramen 🍜 noodle sales in Miami
He'll bring 1.5 ACLs
(this is a joke - I am a fins fan and I love OBJ. All respect).
a whole career based on one amazing catch is insane
Yep.
Whole career?? Thats just nonsense.. check dudes numbers over his 1st 5 years and compare them to every single other WR in history, then come back here and apologize..
@@darrenslack1591 Wipe yo chin, fanboi.
@@darrenslack1591 Yeah he's not Calvin Johnson is what I'm seeing lol.
He caught a touchdown in the super bowl
He’ll bring a fruit cup to locker room !!!
with tua? lol
Why not draft a younger, cheaper, taller player.Tahj Washington is 5'10 Malik Washington 5'8 who they drafted. There were a bunch of other taller receivers in the draft Adonai Mitchell 6'2,Xavier Legette 6'1,Brian Thomas Jr 6'3,Troy Franklin 6'2.I had Odell Beckham penciled in the Hall-of-fame after his first 3yrs in the league, his body couldn't hold up. 8 million for 400-500yds receiving nah.
Not much. Just a depth guy
Seems like a waste of resources to me. I feel like the Dolphins have much bigger needs than another WR. They already have arguably the best WR in the league, and Waddle is probably top 15 or so as well. They weren't losing games because their WR corps wasn't good enough.
Having a defense is no fun until after Christmas.
He'll bring stories about winning the Super Bowl with the Rams.
🐬🆙🫡
This fekket is WASHED! Only 5-6 years passed his prime
Drama and jersey sales!!
Tua is not the guy.
Oh cool, the dolphins signed a male cheerleader
Clicked on the video to comment that. Tells me a lot. If Odell stays on ya mind just say that
Dolphins offensive line looks terrible on these plays
Just don't bring Justin with you
Odell made a career/brand off a single catch ten years ago where his team lost the game.
It doesn't matter who the midget fish sign, they are not on KC's level.
Am sorry bro tua is not the quarterback. For the dolphins 🍿🫢🧋,..
He’ll bring a fruit cup to locker room !!!
