    Woh, great skills, especially the trick with those shrunk side blocks. Many thanks!

      Thanks. The curtain wall panels by default shrink to fit the scheme pattern size. I actually wish it wasn't that way, so it would act more like a CUT BLOCK in that case. I'll often replace the mis-shaped ones with a regular block or make another custom to fit. Thanks for the comment!

    This is helping me a lot regain my modelling sharpness after being unemployed since March last year. Thanks a lot.

    Hello Great tutorial, wanted to ask at the start of the video you show a curtain wall that has a corner to it. Mind sharing how you did that. I've been using this method for a while now but never could get that part to work properly. My panels either overlap and create a 3D mess or just leave a gap. Wanted to see how other people go about it with this little problem. All the best.

      Hi Martin, at the corners, I deleted the 1/2 blocks on one of the intersecting walls, and then did the opposite course on the other. You can pick which direction and modify the scheme position to get this to match up right. You are correct it is a little puzzle to solve, and i've found if you have a few of these corners setup right then you can copy those around, and stretch the length as far as you need. You'll have to do something similar at control joints if you're trying to get each block right. Thanks for the question, and apologies for the delayed reply!

    How did you create the vent block from the first place

    Nice video 👍, but I have a question, how would you set up a door or a window into the wall. With the curtain wall tool by using window panels

    • @CONTRABIM
      @CONTRABIM  4 года назад

      Muri-Boy69 thanks! In the first video I show how to do this. Check out part 1. It’s all in the scheme editor, delete out panels and frames and place windows and doors easily that way! I like doing it in 3D but elevation also works

    Loving these videos. Big thank you for sharing and explaining clearly the process. I'm able to generate the walls as per your video when you simply create a straight wall, however I'm having trouble with corners as they 're not meeting as clean intersection like your example in the background (eg 1:02 mark of video) What setting am I missing on the curtain walls that creates a clean intersection or junctions at the corners of the 2 curtain walls ? Thanks

    • @CONTRABIM
      @CONTRABIM  3 года назад

      Thanks for the comment! Yes you're right the corners are an issue, and takes a little extra time to work out. I went through and deleted out the smaller units for each wall, so they would come together clean. This isn't ideal, but it does work. And for every corner where it exists, it's best I've found to copy a "merged" scenario so you don't have to do this each time. You may also want to adjust the direction from where the pattern starts, so as you stretch the walls your base point doesn't get modified. Hopefully that makes sense!

      @@CONTRABIM thanks for the prompt reply. Ok it's good to know it's not an 'End User Promlem' :-) I kind of get what you're talking about and will give it a try. I might have more questions once i get into it... if you have time it would be awesome to see a working video of this method. Cheers

    AT 18:00, how to create a copy of the edge, do you hold any shortcut, cant make it

    • @CONTRABIM
      @CONTRABIM  3 года назад

      When you select the specific edge from the morph, you can either move or copy. In this case I dragged a copy. To do this, you must select just the specific edge though, and not a general selection of the morph.

      @@CONTRABIM thanks, I know about edge, face selection, once edge selected, I use ctrl+shift+d, it create a copy that I can drag, I think you can mentionne that when a bit special command on tutorial

    • @CONTRABIM
      @CONTRABIM  3 года назад

      Hi Dany thanks for the question. With the morph tool, you can select specific faces or edges to modify. In this case, I grabbed the bottom edge, and dragged it forward to create the offset sloping face. Play around with the morph a bit, and you'll see how to select specific faces when holding down CTRL, or SHIFT one of the two:)

    • @CONTRABIM
      @CONTRABIM  3 года назад +1

      hahaha thanks Rogerio. Yes the imperial fractions are fun to work with:) It's very satisfying though when they actually turn out to be the dimension you intend to set. But pull your hair out frustrating when you are slightly off:)
