I know! Us too! We always look at other campgrounds in the area, but most of the time we just end up going with the KOA!

We just left White Sands yesterday. We stayed on Holloman AFB, but after seeing the KOA, we wish we stayed there!
Stop by Caliche’s for some awesome frozen custard

Thanks! We will have to try the custard the next time we are through the area! How was Holloman? We have access to military bases, so have been considering staying at some, but haven’t yet. Do you find the base campgrounds to be decent overall?

@@WanderfulRevolution Air Force Bases do not mess around with access... and with COVID it’s nearly impossible to get on base (you need a letter from your commander or from the public health nurse if you have been out of NM in thr last 14 days).
As for the campground, it’s really clean and very quiet. There’s not much to it; 1 shower, a few bathrooms, and a laundry room (all spotless). Most of the real nice sites with covered picnic areas were taken by “long term” campers (seemed to be Airmen stationed there). All sites with hookups are on concrete pads, and are first come-first serve.
We loved it, and it’s 15 minutes closer to White Sands than Alamagordo!

Looks much cleaner and with more options than some of the KOA's we stayed at.

We loved it there. Really cool place! If you happen to be there on a full moon, you MUST go out in the evening to see it. They normally do some kind of educational talk under the full moon (not sure if that’s changed with COVID).

What a beautiful KOA! I just visited one for the first time in Cape May. This one seems much bigger. It's great that they have a dog friendly one. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks guys! We are hoping people find them useful! In general we just don't see a lot of good RV park tours out there! Are you still in Florida? We are headed that way!
