- The Xbox 360 Marketplace is closing down forever on July 29th, 2024. And here's a solid list of FREE Xbox 360 games you can and should download before that happens! Luckily, some of these games are backwards compatible with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

These are some of the FREE games you can still download and claim on the Xbox 360 marketplace. I have to admit, the marketplace and store are running very slow and wonky lately. I've had a lot of issues. I can't remember these running so bad back in the day. I'm also working on a new video trying to cover at least some of the games that will disappear forever on July 31st, 2024 when the market closes for good.

I’ve spent countless hours on Uno, Hexic HD, Aegis Wing, and Doritos Crash Course. I still have them downloaded, and I probably always will. I think about 1 VS 100 all the time, and I’ve never heard anyone else talk about it. None of my friends played Harm’s Way, but I did. Such good times.
They actually cancelled a 1vs100 revival game recently for some reason. Harms Way is still awesome!

No problem. I am still working on a video with some games we'll lose forever after July. It's tough to pin down because the store is a mess currently. It's slow and hardly works.
@@thegamethrifter Hi yeah the web-based store (marketplace.xbox) is flawed as hell (is rumored that there's a java script bug in the payment procedure(!)) but thru console all is ok :)

I seen tons of vids of hidden gems but harms way looks great and rarely gets mentioned. It reminds me of smugglers run and rage combined , definitely plan to pick it up.

Harms Way was super fun especially when there were a lot of other players, still fun playing against AI when you are the turret gunner

Maybe is different for here at Latinoamerica, I did download for free ‘Metal Gear Rising V Revengance’, did download ‘Resident Evil Revelations 2’ but only the first chapter, there are like 5 more but to buy (they do that with a lot of games by chapters, the “Sales Hook”), ‘Happy Wars’ was for free on a time
Happy Wars got delisted awhile back on the Xbox 360, and the servers were shut down
Yea, it's like you can download The Walking Dead from Telltale but it's only the 1st chapter.
Id also suggest some wrestling games as well, i heard SVR '07 still has its demo, not sure if its buyable but its definitely worth trying and keeping

Some dlc’s are only obtained through the Xbox360 marketplace. Examples Left4Dead1&2 and Oblivion dlc.
So there's DLC that will be lost forever?
Also having issues to add you debit card to purchase games on the marketplace
Yes, there's a ton of issues right now with buying these games. Microsoft doesn't want our money apparently...lol

This is going to really blow for Achievement hunters too so that means for example me playing Need for speed most wanted or King Kong on Xbox 360 my Xbox series x account won’t see the new achievements?
Of course it will. I completed King Kong to 100% many years ago, it still appears on my achievements portfolio to see. Closing of the 360 marketplace just means you will not be able to buy 360 games DIGITALLY that are NOT backwards compatible i.e. cannot be purchased via the Microsoft store on either the Series X/S or Xbox one. You will have to look online to see what 360 games are backwards compatible as these are the only ones you will be able to buy / play digitally on new gen consoles. Otherwise you will require a 360 console and a hard version of the game in order to play them. Upon completion on the 360 they will still sync to your new gen consoles for people to see your completion.
You can still earn Achievements on 360 and it'll show on your Series X/S. As long as they keep the basic servers up, that'll be the case.

Man the Marketplace only shows 167 games in "browse all games" and none of them are in this video. I guess that is because i live in eastern Europe. Is there any way i can access the US store?
I think it might be too late, but you could set your console to US time zone.

Games that are backward compatability won't be delisted
They'll still be in the Xbox One/SeriesX store.

Resident evil 2 revelations 2 isn’t a free game you need to buy the season pass to unlock all the achievements I remember getting this game for free on PS3 but later found out I didn’t have the full game so is it worth getting the free part without buying the season pass the answer is no if your not interested in paying $14.99 then don’t bother what’s going to disappear is the season pass so buy it before it’s to late nothing is free if you don’t have the entire game

The Crimson Alliance ‘All Class Pack’ is free which includes all 3 classes that are $9.99 ea

In the USA it is most certainly NOT free. The all class pack is still $14.99. That is if you are viewing the game on the 360 store.
The only thing that is free is basically a demo without the all class pack.
I've played the game, not my jam per say. But had no issues playing it without packs. Still good to pick up IMO just in case.
@thegamethrifter You can only play the first couple of levels and you cannot level up completely without the all-class pack.

Sadly some of the games metioned arent available anymore or you have to buy them(metal slug 3 is 9.99) i hate seeing this console go. I had a lot of memories and good times playing with either friends or just relax and play a game by myself. In the end the xbox 360 will be missed by most and unfortunately that means physical game disc may go up in price.
Yea, it's a shame. Right now though there's a lot of games on sale on the 360 store which is at least helpful.

Yes, all free on Xbox 360 store.
Except Cimson Alliance. It's basically a demo, and you need the all class pack to get the full experience. The all class pack costs $14.99

@thegamethrifter The all class pack is still $14.99 in the USA. I have no idea where it could be free. Single class packs are $9.99 each, and there are 3 classes. I seriously doubt the developer or publisher is giving the game away for free.

It doesn't all work. They literally took the store away from the Xbox 360. You can still download the games if you have previously, but if you've never downloaded them you're out of luck.

Actually they all don't play on Xbox One or Series X/S. And if someone has just an Xbox 360 (Which Reddit has thousands of members still on 360 alone) then it makes sense to get them before the store closes for good in July.

@@danderson6290 I didn't see anyone say that, I honestly was asked to do a video with games for people to download before the store closes, so I checked out the free games list and did the video. These take me a week or so to put together and I get paid nothing...just doing it for the love of gaming. I appreciate the feedback for the future though.
