Do you have a current recommendation for a single port(or more, if absolutely necessary) ~100W travel charger? Looking for a 2nd laptop charger to keep in my bag
100W single port devices no. I'd point to the Anker prime 100W. It's the lightest, most compact 100W charger, it has low leakage so good on 230V as well as 120V, and it does have a couple extra ports.

Love your channel! Could you review the J5 create slim 65W power supply? I’m curious if it’s efficient. Love it for the fact that it’s slim which mean it’s great for traveling.
Let me tell you about those TPS reports... The slim chargers I looked at were generally worse. @@AllThingsOnePlace ah ok. I am leaning towards getting multiple adapters for my house at this point. Certainly not this one. I am working on my top chargers for my website along with a little description of why I picked each. But I'm still daily driving Satechi with the 165W adapter, ultra high efficiency if you need to constantly power a few devices and plenty of power for four things. It probably is a clone they just turned on more of the USB modes. I haven't looked at hyper products all the recalls and issues told me everything I needed to know.
which is the best one so far that is 100w+ and has at least EU + US plugs or C7 port? As for the sponsors I personally believe that it would be a good idea if it means more products reviewed.
Yeah, taking sponsors would move this to more of a job than what it is now. But yeah, this is probably the best travel charger I've looked at with all the plugs. It's not very good. I prefer the use a good brick and an adapter technique.
@@AllThingsOnePlace you could always start with small sponsorship and see how is working from there if you had to chose an adapter to use half the time with 220v and half 110v what would be your choice? brick and adapter would be fine too.

Excellent reviews and well explained thank you. I neee a 140W or higher USB C power adapter / travel adapter to replace my Asus laptop power brick for daily use. Located in Australia, what product options do you suggest, from Ugreen, Minix, no name brand?
So I made a mistake and bought this thinking it was the one you recommended in the other video, as the 165W one doesn’t seem available for sale anymore on my Amazon page. Was a terrible surprise when I found out it couldn’t super fast charge my Samsung, let alone SFC 2.0. I am going to try to return it, but I’m worried I can’t do it because I already threw the shipping box away (that’s how much trust I have in you lol). Now I really need a travel (or at least portable) charger to end all chargers. Preferably 4 USB C ports minimum, with over 100W for Samsung Tab S9, iPad Pro, iPhone and maybe a laptop or steam deck.
They all kind of test the same so really just pick one that has what you need. I use the Anker A2343 and a travel adapter or the Satechi 165W and the appropriate cable.
@@AllThingsOnePlace Thank you I wanted one that has those travel adapters in package. Small footprint if possible. Looks like the minx isn't good and Satechi 145w is not recommended :D
Hi, I recently stumbled upon your channel. Could u recommend me a charger that can super fast charge ny 2 samsung devices? Currently relying on 2 separate chargers but i feel like 1 single charger will be more organised. Also recommend you look at baseus 10000mah magsafe powerbank
It’s harder than you think since generally anything 140 watts and down won’t do even power sharing. The anker 737 might be the only one. That isn’t something crazy like the 240 watt charger. Which will do three Samsung phones at max speed.
I had a 100W satechi charger die on me after a couple of weeks. Support was useless. I dont trust the brand anymore. Now using the anker 747 140w and its been amazing so far.
I think that leaving the heater on for just an extra hour will draw more energy than leaving the charger on for a month. So this effect is very small. What do you think of Toocki chargers? This company is very famous on Ali Express and its products are valued at cheap prices. I like their quality. I bought a Type-C cable with a screen from them and it was excellent. But I don't know the rest of the products. I love your way of responding to comments and interest in the channel. Thank you
I want to ask how chargers work, so what I got right now which I don't know if its right or wrong is that if I use a 100w brick with a 5a cable and using it to charge a phone that uses a 11V and 4a fast charge it would automatically set itself to that and charge at that rate?
You do need to enable it in the phone settings for the faster charging. But yeah, the charger, if it has PPS, will work. This one doesn't so wouldn't work for that.
9V 3A (27W) mode has to work . Will phone take 12V mode (if avaiable on adapter side) or use PPS (if avaiable, 11V at 4A for that particular phone) or dedicated 11V mode (some adapters support it) - depends on exact adapter.
Just curious, what are you missing for "the rest of the world" based on the included plugs? Those cover most of Asia, as many countries rely on the included plugs. The only potential issue would be some African countriles, India and possibly Israel. I have lived and travelled in Asia for over 14 years and never needed something not included with this product. The AU/NZ plug works in xina and Argentina. The US one in Japan and Taiwan. The UK one in Malaysia, Singapore and HK. The EU one in Korea, Thailand and some other places.
The 140W apple charger is probably the best, as it's designed for the hardware and hopefully will last a bit longer. It isn't the most efficient. The 140W charger field is filled with a lot of bad stuff.
Just saw this since I was thinking about asking my friend in Canada to bring me this unit, since I want one for travel. Subbed for the in-depth and informative review. Are there any other GaN travel chargers, specifically with PPS, at 140W-165W? The main reason I like the Satechi unit is because of those interchangeable plugs, so if that's doable, that'll be great as well. Thanks in advance!
This was really helpful. Do you think you will ever do the range of 1-world travel adaptors. They are all in one adaptors and have become quite popular. They go from 35, 65, 100, 120, 140, 1709Watts ....however I don't know if they struggle with a thermal load problem. Do you think you might cover those?
Hello I’m a new subscriber here and I really enjoyed your videos!! Unbelievably well explained and accurate than any other channels in my opinion 😄😄 I’m planning to buy a multi port charger to use it in my school. My school has a dormitory so I have to carry all my chargers around at all times. Also, I live in Korea so my choice are limited to chargers which have a 220v option. I’m currently considering this satechi charger and the anker 747 150w charger. What do you recommend to charge a midi spec laptop, iphone and ipad with the apple watch with? I can’t decide what to buy right now🥲
Hello, welcome. Yeah, this channel is a little different. Satechi is not great as an international device. The Anker devices do surprisingly well though.
It might be interesting/useful to see what kind of continuous power draw this (and other adapters) could handle while still maintaining a safe exterior temperature (and/or not shutting down). This might not be a very good 145-watt USB power supply, but would it be a good 100-watt power supply?
Bummer that a lot of these adapters seem to be going backwards in performance rather than forwards. Maybe this is a case cost-cutting measures which drop the efficiency a couple percent and hoping the consumer won't notice, which in the case of most consumers who lack this level of technical knowledge is probably true, sadly. Here's to hoping for more good performers in the future.
Hello, I'm feeling a bit confused about which charger to buy. I don't mind spending money as long as I get something that is reliable, long-lasting, and compatible with my Apple MacBook and phones. Can you suggest a charger or dock station that fits my needs? Thank you for your help.again I'm using only apple devices. by the way i wanted to send a super thanks but i couldn't send a message with the super thanks so I'm going to send one just remember that this super is from me thanks.
ah weird, well thanks, first of all. Then, yeah I understand that. I think Satechi really gears themselves towards Apple compatibility, it's really all they claim to work with. I am still a fan of the Satechi 165W adapter, US market on that one (it has high AC leakage at higher voltages). I use it with laptops, watches, phones, and other random battery chargers and it's been great. If longevity is the concern I'd just stick with Apple's adapters. That's kind of what they are known for.
Apple has sold a "World Travel Adapter Kit" for YEARS (I've had one since 2018, maybe 2017) that works with their Macbook Pro power blocks. They all have a plug that "pops out" like this one does. It seems like this is meant to be a direct competitor/replacement for that audience. So, if you frequently travel b/w multiple countries/continents and have a Macbook and multiple USB-C devices, this would be the adapter that lives in your suitcase/travel bag. I personally use an Anker 747 and a country-specific external plug adapter for that. But I've also lived outside my home country, so my "int'l power adapter game" is more advanced than average. I'm also willing to bet that someone thought, "This is a TRAVEL adapter, not an Everyday At Your Desk adapter. So, efficiency isn't as important, since you'll only use it for limited amounts of time." Not to say that's a GOOD thought process. But I can see someone saying that.
Well, this checked all my boxes until I saw your review. I'd be using this on a cruise ship to power 4 devices, including a laptop. 16" Acer Chromebook now, and probably LG Gram 16 later this year. But I'd be using this device all the time. I cannot find another 4 port USB-C power charger that plugs directly into the wall except for 1 "Rarvel" device on Amazon. All the others are either 3 port USB-C and 1 USB-A, or have a power cable that plugs into the wall. I even contacted Anker, and they said they don't have a 4 port USB-C that plugs directly into the wall, nor have anything on the horizon in the works. That is insane as USB-A is on the way out. Any thoughts on a good no cord 4 port USB-C charger that can power a laptop as well? Keep up the great work!!!
Yeah, that's always the grain of salt. I get a little too technical I think. If it works, then it's the one for you. I really like the 165W charger from Satechi, it's been around the world with me and it's more efficient than this one by considerable margin, so that's why that is still my pick, but this one doesn't have the wire. I'd probably pick up a USB A to C cable if you have to use one of the alternates and one of your devices is lower wattage if you want alternates. Personally, I actually use all four USB C ports too and if I'm traveling with my Anker I get mad because I forgot a USB A cable, haha.
@@AllThingsOnePlace Thanks for the info! Wow, it's almost like the 145W and 165W chargers are made by two different companies. Many quality differences, which is a shame for the 145W travel charger. I checked out the 165W and it checks all the boxes as well. I'd probably get a really short 2 prong AC cable for it though. Like 6 inches. Since you travel a lot with it, does it seem heavy at all to carry around? Only 50 gram difference between the 145 and 165, so that's not bad. Thanks for the tip! I had not considered that unit. Now, go make some money with your channel!!! You are due!!!
@@AllThingsOnePlace I shouldn't buy it before watching your review! Heheheheh, but I think it will be ok to use on trips only. On the other hand, I have the 165w Satechi on my desk.
I have a ugreen power bank. Tried charging it with a 12v Samsung charger it burnt the charger out. Its says 65 watts max and 100watts max not sure which is out put and input. Would the 100w Baseus charger work fine? Or will I destroy my bank?
If it's a USB C and PD compatible power bank, the 100W Baseus charger should work fine. I'm not sure why the Samsung charger wouldn't have worked though.
The Anker Prime 100W and a smaller adapter (something like ugreen nexode 30w), and a travel adapter if needed for air travel, for driving, I take the Satechi 165W with all of it's USB cables still attached.
11:46 could you clarify which are these other adapters from Ugreen and Anker?. Just found your channel!, and boy was I looking for a channel that does the review with the level of detail you do including these metrics, overheat, etc, so useful!!
By the way, I have question about PPS. How can I figure out what range of PPS do I need to watch to buy a charger which supports Samsung PPS? Example: Samsung 25W charge have two PPS ranges: 3.3-5.9V 3A | 3.3-11V 2.25A. An Ugreen 30W charger have one PPS range: 3.3-11V 2,7A. How do I know that the Ugreen meets the Samsung PPS in this case?
Volts times Amps is Power, so 5.9*3 = 17.7W, so this wouldn't be able to supply enough power for 25W charging. The up to 11V mode would be able to supply enough power. The UGREEN only offering one PPS mode would get selected by the device.

Could you please do GMM 150W USB C Charger Plug Multi GaN charger. I think it performs very well, I've had it for more than a year now, and its great. Interested to see I got it for £35
Really surprised such a relatively expensive power adapter tests so bad, and misses important power modes. The included plugs are interesting to me in theory. I have an Anker model with these and have never bothered to take it out the house, as in practice my take everywhere is the Anker 100w Prime with an additional Apple 20w if travelling internationally. Modern plug adapters are pretty tiny so this works really well.
My BIGGEST problem with multi port pd chargers is that they are very "MOODY". They'll charge fast sometimes, slow sometimes. I always have to unplug and replug everything for fast charging to turn on back again, but that too only works 80% of the time. I'd be happier with a single port ~65w pps pd charger for all of my needs at least.
Overheats and no PPS, that's just sad. I love my 165W Satechis but they don't support PD 3.1 140W. I have a separate Spigen for PD 3.1 140W. Satechi's 200W has PD negotiation issues. Was really hoping they'd release a revised 200W+ model, not this junk.
I wouldn't use Satechi for myself. I have 165w charger. Sometimes it charges my Legion Go, sometimes no, cant negotiate power. Worse was my lenovo ideapad laptop, and lenovo legion 7i, no charge at all. Ugreen 200w solved this issue. Now I bough 2x300w ugreen chargers, when they was 100 quid on Ebay
Unless you need 140W in one port I don't see why you should get this over the Satechi 165W. Chargers with detachable cords actually make a better travel charger than these so-called travel chargers imo
Yeah, I've been using ones with a detachable cord for over a decade now. Helps with loose outlets, recessed outlets, or outlets in inconvenient places like behind a nightstand. Hope other vendors don't copy the crap that Anker did though with a proprietary power cord.
@AllThingsOnePlace this is the worst charger i have ever bought, it's like a desktop charger but with a plug ;) it doesn't have super fast charging mode, should only be used for apple products The plastic part of the product is terrible, I dropped it from a height of...50cm, it was dented

Yeah. I have a few here that I can get a visible spark off of. Those $1 usb adapters.
I have an Anker nano 3 30W and the Anker 47W nano 3 - both tingle A LOT! (using them on 240V)
Any suggestions? Is there something else I should have bought?
@@AllThingsOnePlace
I was wondering why didn’t you put the Ugreen 300W in your lists, as you put the Anker 240W desktop.
I’m not sure.
@@AllThingsOnePlace No problem. Thanks for the video. You do a great job, super fan of yours here!
Love your channel! Could you review the J5 create slim 65W power supply? I’m curious if it’s efficient. Love it for the fact that it’s slim which mean it’s great for traveling.
Let me tell you about those TPS reports... The slim chargers I looked at were generally worse. There's a video on that. ruclips.net/video/gxQ8uWRhss0/видео.html Anyway, I did add it to the list and I'm sure there will be a slim round 2, hopefully I can find some good ones this time, maybe the one you suggested will be it.
Which would have better efficiency for a 45-65w load? The 100w ugreen or the 140w with pfc?
4 ports is a useful feature for me and Im making a decision partially based off of that.
There's other factors. The PFC wouldn't solely decide for that power level.
@@AllThingsOnePlace ah ok. I am leaning towards getting multiple adapters for my house at this point. Your belkin review of the 108w desktop power supply was really helpful and I think Im going to get that at some point.
If you ever start reviewing sine wave inverters I will be incredibly grateful as buying anything in that space feels like flying blind. Your data is genuinely so useful.
Any recommendations for what would be the best charger right now?
Certainly not this one. I am working on my top chargers for my website along with a little description of why I picked each. But I'm still daily driving Satechi with the 165W adapter, ultra high efficiency if you need to constantly power a few devices and plenty of power for four things. The Anker 100W prime is my travel adapter if the Satech is too big.
@@AllThingsOnePlace I recently ordered the Belkin BoostCharge Pro 200W 4-Port USB-C Gan Charger. I didn't find any reviews for it online. Would appreciate if you can share any feedback
What suggestion do you have for a 100W+ travel adapter?
I use the Anker Prime 100W with an adapter for wherever I am going.
@@AllThingsOnePlace thank you. Do you have any suggestions for an adapter, or are they all the same?
Such a shame.
Thanks a lot for doing this review!
No problem! Yeah, I get so disappointed when they aren't at least up to par.
what's your opinion on Bavin products
I haven't tested any. So, no opinion.
Have you seen the Zendure Passport III ..? If not take a look as this is my go to and the only one with an electronic auto reset rather than a physical fuse. Sadly they are always out of stock, probably as they are so good, notably I’ve had three stolen.
Yeah, I have one, haven't taken it out of the box yet. I'm due to do a new travel video.
Hi, have you tested the Belkin boostcharge pro 140w 3+1 port charger? If so, what are your thoughts on it?
Not yet but it’s soon on the list.
@@AllThingsOnePlace well I’ve just bought one because it’s on discount. Hope it doesn’t suck lol. Thanks
Thank you for this! If you could recommend a better charger with travel adapter plugs that would be amazing!
I'm still hunting.
Hyper just released a 145W travel charger called "hyperjuice" and it looks very very similar to this one. However, it supports PPS and is advertised as being "cooler" than other chargers. I'm very curious how that compares to this charger. Any chance we can get a comparison in the future?
It probably is a clone they just turned on more of the USB modes. I haven't looked at hyper products all the recalls and issues told me everything I needed to know.
which is the best one so far that is 100w+ and has at least EU + US plugs or C7 port? As for the sponsors I personally believe that it would be a good idea if it means more products reviewed.
Yeah, taking sponsors would move this to more of a job than what it is now.
But yeah, this is probably the best travel charger I've looked at with all the plugs. It's not very good. I prefer the use a good brick and an adapter technique.
@@AllThingsOnePlace
you could always start with small sponsorship and see how is working from there
if you had to chose an adapter to use half the time with 220v and half 110v what would be your choice? brick and adapter would be fine too.
@@hiraya4576Yeah, I need to work on it, it isn't easy, at my level mostly the offers are we'll give you a free product and make the video exactly as we want it. Which is not a good deal and also doesn't help the situation at all. Also doesn't get the viewer what they want... I choose the Anker 100W Prime 3 port wall adapter as my international travel adapter. I just bring whatever mains adapter I need.
Is it possible for you toe test the nomad 130w Gan Charger please?
I have it on the list. I might even have it here. Although it might be the 120W version.
Is it possible to make a charger where you can manually choose voltage and current to match the phone or to choose the speed of charge?
No. The phone or device chooses the voltage, if you feed it something it doesn't want or expect it will break.
@@AllThingsOnePlace then there could be an app to choose the charge speed?
Concur. Always ask questions if you don't understand something.
Thanks!
Can you review the ELECOM Lithium Iron Phosphate banks? They have a 20k one. LPF is safer and lasts much longer than lithium ion or polymer, at the expense of weight.
Thank you! Yeah, that's worth checking out.
Excellent reviews and well explained thank you.
I neee a 140W or higher USB C power adapter / travel adapter to replace my Asus laptop power brick for daily use. Located in Australia, what product options do you suggest, from Ugreen, Minix, no name brand?
Would love to see you check out Spigen's Gan chargers, especially their GaN 1402 140w charger, and their 65w chargers
I have the 140W one in the queue. I did do a bunch of other Spigen chargers a while back.
So what travel charger would you recommend?
I use the Anker Prime 100W and an adapter.
Yeah, the 165W sounds perfect. I'm sure it's sold by other companies but I haven't found it's clones yet.
Hi, what charger you recommend around 100-140w that is performing good with 220v outlets? Even better if it supports PPS
Yeah, it's a tough category. The Anker 100W prime is one option. A lot of the 140W stuff works but it has issues with lasting.
what would you recommend for travel adapter ideally 100w+?
Yeah, that's too bad they didn't help on the support side, at the price point of these I'd expect better.
Thank you
Yes, it is, but the heater is doing some work for you, the charger is just wasting energy. I haven't looked at them yet but they are on the list.
I want to ask how chargers work,
so what I got right now which I don't know if its right or wrong is that
if I use a 100w brick with a 5a cable and using it to charge a phone that uses a 11V and 4a fast charge it would automatically set itself to that and charge at that rate?
You do need to enable it in the phone settings for the faster charging. But yeah, the charger, if it has PPS, will work. This one doesn't so wouldn't work for that.
9V 3A (27W) mode has to work . Will phone take 12V mode (if avaiable on adapter side) or use PPS (if avaiable, 11V at 4A for that particular phone) or dedicated 11V mode (some adapters support it) - depends on exact adapter.
Do you have an alternative suggestion ?
Not really, I'm still looking.
That's exactly the response I was looking for! Thanks!
Best charger for Macbook?
The 140W apple charger is probably the best, as it's designed for the hardware and hopefully will last a bit longer. It isn't the most efficient. The 140W charger field is filled with a lot of bad stuff.
Why did I see this after the purchase - can't return it and will have to keep for a few years :)
Yeah, for that purpose this is one of the best ones.
Eventually, it sounds like something to cover.
Hello I’m a new subscriber here and I really enjoyed your videos!! Unbelievably well explained and accurate than any other channels in my opinion 😄😄
I’m planning to buy a multi port charger to use it in my school.
@@AllThingsOnePlace thank for the advice!! just ordered the anker one. Can’t wait 🤩
It might be interesting/useful to see what kind of continuous power draw this (and other adapters) could handle while still maintaining a safe exterior temperature (and/or not shutting down). This might not be a very good 145-watt USB power supply, but would it be a good 100-watt power supply?
hey just saw the baseus 160w charger but its only available in EU do you know when is it gonna launch in the us ??
Good to know, I'm not sure.
Yeah. That could be true. Not sure.
Would be interesting if you can test the official apple power adapters (the 96W seems like the new standard with the new silicon macbooks)
I did. I'll be talking about them again though as part of the newer 70W apple power adapter review.
Yeah, that apple plug can also ground the adapter if needed. I like those. True on the efficiency, that's a valid point for sure.
My choice!!
Okay.
Which one is going with you?
The Anker Prime 100W and a smaller adapter (something like ugreen nexode 30w), and a travel adapter if needed for air travel, for driving, I take the Satechi 165W with all of it's USB cables still attached.
you should checkout inui 100w 3 port charger
It is on the list. The one Iniu charger I looked at so far was not good.
@@AllThingsOnePlace Great! Thanks a lot!

Hi i got a 200watt Satechi adapter ironically thw usc c cable gives a mild(on the higher side) electric shock. Is it ok to use it to charge my laptop please advise
Yeah, leakage is a bit high on these. It's safe to use if you don't mind the occasional zing.
Could you please do GMM 150W USB C Charger Plug Multi GaN charger. I think it performs very well, I've had it for more than a year now, and its great. Interested to see I got it for £35
Thanks for the suggestion. I think I have one of the chargers from that brand around somewhere. If it makes it it will be a while.
Thanks yeah, that's actually my system as well. A travel adapter or two with it if it's international.
Can you put a link to the Anker 100W Prime adapter, please? 😢
@@dot5816 the one I bought is from this review on this same channel - ruclips.net/video/aAb55fkQ1j8/видео.html
Thanks for sharing!
Yeah, no idea.
Yeah, Satechi is clearly marketing towards Apple users so I expect compatibility to be more on that end.
Yeah the 165w is amazing, it's such a great adaptor that I have two!
That things getting on in years at this point. Think they'll discontinue the good one?
@@AllThingsOnePlace they better not. Have you reviewed anything recently that trumps it yet? It still seems to be your best recommendation even now.

@AllThingsOnePlace this is the worst charger i have ever bought, it's like a desktop charger but with a plug ;)
it doesn't have super fast charging mode, should only be used for apple products
