Now coming back from yesterdays Beijing 2022 win I do remember seeing this back in the day. Since my gaming motto is to never give up until AFTER the end I always get a little laugh inside when someone comes from behind and wins because of another's showboating.

how about if she keeps grinding for 4 more olympics and 16 years, and takes home 2 golds at age 36...almost twice the age of some of her competitors? thats who i want on my team

I feel bad for her… She thought she had the gold medal, so she decided to show off a bit and do the method grab on the last jump. I agree it was a bad decision, but it doesn’t make her a horrible person.

people were flying off this fast course before her fall. looked like she tried a grab, but she was going extremely fast also inthe home stretch that was designed for ridiculous speed. if she didnt try to ball up, theres no guarantee she would’ve had control

Why shouldn't they laugh? She would have won her first gold medal 16 years earlier if she hadn't attempted to show off, moreover she would've had another gold medal to her name.
