Tobi gave a example of a book written by a single author but what he means is code written by single author.... so whan you see shopify the front-end and the actual code you find repeating patterns and consistency as if one person made this whole system
sharingg accountability is when things a]have gone wrong, responsibility is more of preventive measure.micromanaging isnt god but managing is good, and sharing responsibility and expected perfomance obligations to employees is actually good
I honestly think he wants to create a stir up. While he uses the word micro management what he describes is a bit of founders bias mixed with giving directions and ‘I want to be informed’. But he then goes on to say ‘not in the level of menus’ aka not on the level of micro management. And yes, the founders bias is all over the place. He really thinks he’s great at a a huge amount of things.
This is the first time I am disagreeing with Tobi. Micromanage could be a good thing but it does more damage if not done correctly which is the case most of the time. If Tobi is doing micromanage, then I am good. He is a good and proven leader but I cant stand if my current team lead starts micro management because he isn’t good enough yet. He is just a regular leader.

Would have been nice to first agree on the definition of micromanagement.
Why micromanaging is good:
-Starts describing macromanagement
share responsibilities and perfomance obligations ut always take accountability
sharingg accountability is when things a]have gone wrong, responsibility is more of preventive measure.micromanaging isnt god but managing is good, and sharing responsibility and expected perfomance obligations to employees is actually good
