My favourite was Queen Camilla's whole red gown outfit at night and the ruby diamond tiara parure.

I wish someone would bring out the aquamarine set. I find it quite stunning and think Sophie would suit it perfectly.
Give it time. There are so many pieces and sets to choose from and only so many (read: too few!) tiara events attended by the British Royal Family. I am sure that we will see the Aquamarines again as they are stunning.
I think Catherine’s white dress was an altered version of the white dress she wore to a previous state occasion where it had a longer cape/sleeve sorta thing.
I thought the exact same thing. The previous gown had a cape, did it not?
The Coronation dress
@@dancarl6803 No not that one. Had to google, it was Pres of S Africa dinner on 11/22/22. The metallic decoration is different, but it may be a removable overlay. The two gowns are quite similar and I can see how it could have been reworked, but they may just be two separate gowns. She’ll certainly get plenty of use out of white gowns over the years.
No, the neckline was totally different and it had long sleeves.
I really want to see Catherine wear the emerald drop tiara!

It was fantastic to finally see new tiaras for a change! Queen Elizabeth after so long on the throne developed a small circle of favorites that she seemed to always wear. Catherine also seemed to favor only a couple and after QEII died, Catherine seemed to mainly wear the ones her grandmother in law had worn. I truly hope this is the start of a new trend after the fantastic reception of less seen tiaras garnered! They have so many it’s sad that fewer and fewer were seen in at least this century. I was actually gobsmacked at that one picture of Anne!! Lordy did she look like Queen Mary-especially the mouth and Mary was, unfortunately a plain woman.
These are family heirlooms passed down from generations and gifts within a family. That’s their right just as we have things we pass down.
One has to remember that prior to King Charles succession Camilia was relegated to the Big Hair Tiaras (Greville Boucheron Honeycomb and the Delhi Durbar Tiaras) that never graced Queen Elizabeth's head.... The Queen mother was the benefactor of Mrs. Greville jewelry collection and many of the random jewel appearances (Camilla's engagement ring and Princess Eugenie's Grevillle Emerald Kokoshnik wedding Tiara i.e) are from that bequest.
Queen Camilla really suits the larger tiaras , but it was nice to see her wearing something a bit differant .

Elisabeth trug, für mich, sehr langweilige tiaras, die rubin tiara stach da raus. Sonst alle soooo langweilig. Jetzt werden endlich alle mal gezeigt. Camilla schaut so gut aus mit den neuen tiaras. Aber mir gefällt unter den gezeigten immer noch die strathmore rose tiara am besten.
I hope the British royal family realise that the image of Royal ladies in all their finery is a very good PR tool. It's creates an image of grandeur and history. Their Jewels have sentimental value for their subjects as well.
As long as their behavior is reserved and classy. Imagine a tiara with a shoulderless cocktail dress. Public would and should disapproved.
I agree with the comments already being shared yet I really love that she’s wearing long white gloves 🧤. I love gloves and hope she continues wearing gloves.
I disagree with you both about Sophie’s tiara. I really like it. IMO It’s beautiful.

What I will miss in the British royalty is the Poltimore tiara.
Although it is a stunning and versatile tiara it did not have a long history with the Royal Family since it was only worn by Princess Margaret. The tiara I miss the most is the Sapphire tiara that the Duke of Kent had to sell. This had a very long history with the Royal Family having belonged to an aunt of Queen Mary, then worn by Queen Mary before she gave it as a wedding present to the Duke and Duchess of Kent (Prince George & Princess Marina).
The Queen’s tiara is beautiful. She looks lovely.

There is 2 large saphire brooches in the royal family collection. Princess Katherine had only one coronation gown but had a different section at the front to stop any damage from the ropes and the robe

The Strathmore looks much better as a headband. I would like to see Catherine be a bit more creative in styling her tiaras and other jewelry like Princess Diana did.

Another interesting video / talk from you guys. It was a rather splendid State Banquet with so many exciting surprises. I am already looking forward to the next State Visit to the United Kingdom. Hopefully next year there will at least be two (though Their Majesties might be too busy visiting places abroad as I am sure the King's other realms would like to welcome him and his wife).
A mention was made to the South Korean Order of Mugunghwa that the King was wearing to the banquet. It was pointed out that His Majesty is wearing the Order's Breast Star pinned to the right side of his tailcoat. Normally Breast Stars are worn to the left. But I was sure that I had seen somebody else also wearing the Breast Star of this Order to the right. And sure enough, when looking back on the South Korean State Visit to Sweden in 2019 one can see that King Carl XVI Gustaf is also wearing the Breast Star on the right. Then again, when looking at photos from the State Banquet in Norway - also in 2019 - King Harald is wearing the Breast Star on the left. Rather confusing. But I just discovered some photos today of the then President of South Korea investing the President of Indonesia with the Order and she fasten the Breast Star of the Order on the right hand side of President Yudhoyono. So it seems like King Charles did wear it on the correct side.
Does anyone think the Strathmore Rose...Could be...perhaps "Bulked up" a little, by adding more leaves perhaps? After all There was no reason to think this "Lady"... Would ever be more than a Duchess, when Her Father gave her this...Tiara !!

BUT I've love them to leave... at least two to the Royal Collection... The Cartier, Kokoshnic style ( Indian tiara) Inherited from Princess Marie Louise, and the Honeysuckle Tiara set gifted from Queen Mary, both are Seriously Substantial...
I quite like it as it is actually. Sometimes "simple" works better than a fence of Diamonds. But it would of course be great if the Princess of Wales now had the chance of adding or removing extra elements to it as she saw fit depending on the occasion.

Camilla wears her tiaras open so they look like a tiara and not a crown. Queen Elizabeth wore hers more like a crown. That is why.

What happened to Diana's pearl and safafire choaker?
The Queen Victoria sapphire brooch belonged to the queen and was returned to her after Diana’s death as it was only on loan. The Rottweiler wears it now.
however the 6-strand pearl choker was Diana’s and was split amongst his sons and any other heirs she named.
It never entered my mind that the ruby tiara did not ‘suit’ the late, lovely Queen Elizabeth II. What amazingly, totally silly remarks some of these presenters make.

Catherine should have gotten the ruby tiara as she is known for wearing many red-ish colored gowns and dresses; she also needs an emerald tiara and her other most worn color other than red is green tones. Camilla already got the sapphire crown/tiara...which would've paired better with Catherine as she wears Diana's sapphire engagement ring and her earrings.
So basically you would have preferred that all the grandest tiaras in the Royal Family's collection went directly to the Princess of Wales? 😉

This to me was boring listening to Sam wine and squeak and she couldn’t even talk ! I gave up but the jewels are very beautiful but all in all this video was not put together well at all .
You are so WRONG about SO MUCH Sarah Ferguson was given a brand new tiara commissioned by Prince Andrew and she got to keep it! I could go on and on but I don't like the way you talk about our Queen Elizabeth II with such disrespect. Camilla has certainly worn the ruby necklace before!

The brooches that they wear with the yellow ribbon underneath looks so cheap and tacky. Why do they do that?
They are not brooches. It is the Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II with painted miniature portraits of the late Queen set in a bejewelled frame. Each monarch uses a different colour to the bow / ribbon. The Royal Family Order of the late Queen's father, George VI, for instance used a pink ribbon / bow.
I like the way Queen Elizabeth wears it..more like a crown. These two are horrible, the man is not knowledgeable and snarky.
Tastes are different. I thought it looked better on Camilla because wearing it more open it shows off the design more.
