I dread doing this every time! It's one of those things I do once a year and can't remember how I did it the year before. Thanks so much for the straightforward tutorial. Easy, simple instructions. You didn't waste a lot of my time with introductions or unneeded information. Good job!
Hi Deb,
It can be so easy to forget how to do something when it's needed so infrequently. Thanks for the comment, I'm glad the video helped you.
Even though this video is old, it got where I needed with Office 2021. The trick is to click Search at the top, and enter "Envelope." That brings up the same Envelope function you show.
Why can't all instruction videos be this clear and to the point? Thank you Adam!
Hey I'm happy this worked for you 3rdRockFTS. Thanks for watching and have a nice day!
Very good tutorial on how to Print Envelopes with Microsoft Office 2016
Came here for a quick MS Word lesson, and got a shout out to my hometown!
Hey I’m glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching Matthew.
Thank you very much, i have a major on office automation and don't know how to print an envelope before (the teacher don't teach us about it since it's covid 2 years ago)
Great talk through instructions 👍 Thank you for the simplicity of this tutorial
I was able to do it at the first shot, thank you for this video
This is a great video! I love doing data merge in Adobe InDesign - not sure if you've used that option, but it works well including more special graphics, PNGs, etc. I use that for my wedding invitation envelope printing all the time!
Hi Laney,
I haven't used InDesign too much so far. I am hoping to learn more in the future. Thank you for sharing, Laney!
Easy to understand!! Is there is a way to add a Company logo on the envelope as well?
I think you just saved my job!!!! thanks so much for this video
This will help out with paying the dep or rev for the next year and a half
This is helpful. Please make a vedio on envelope for multiple recipients.
Hi Mohammedzuber,
You're probably looking for a mail merge video. I made this one for Microsoft Publisher, but the process is the same in Word. I hope it helps you out, here it is:

So simple yet very helpful. Thanks a lot! 👍
I am glad this was helpful for you gie fg morano. Thank you for watching!
This helped me a lot! Now the problem is, I have to make 300+ of these for all the clients at my work. Is there anyway to make multiple envelopes with a list of everyone's address without going through and doing it individually? I hope that makes sense.
Hi Ashlie,
I am glad this video helped you, I appreciate you watching it. Yes, what you're trying to do is a mail merge. I made one using Publisher, but the process is very similar in Word. Have a look at the video below and I hope it helps you out:
ruclips.net/video/StzyBxnhHmE/видео.html
Great video. How do you make multiple envelopes within single document?
Brilliant, thanks for this. Really stuck as to why the computer was not syncing with the printer. Iam pretty much in the same situation as Deb Bishop. Dont do this much. However, when I do i always forget how to do it.
Hello Adam, I looked at someone else video b/c I was having the problem that Geo was having. The address was printing too far to the right. The saw in options to check "clockwise rotation". It fixed the problem.
Thank you so much. Other instructions for printing envelopes on the web are so confusing and difficult to use. I subscribed!
Liked 👍... Thanks a bunch! This saves me time configuring my mailing task today.. 😊 💕
*AWESOMEE!!!! , THANK YOU!!*
This is such an easy video to follow! Thank u. But how do u do this on a invitation envelope 5x7?
Do custom settings. Most 5x7 envelopes use 5.25x7.25 envelopes, but definitely measure yours!
How do i insert the envelope in the printer? Does it go in the feeder pr in the paper tray?
Thank you for sharing
So you just put the envelope in the printer? And what about envelope size?
Excellent , Thank you very much.
No problem, Bernie. Thank you for watching!
many thanks! good instruction
No problem, LingQi San. Thank you for watching!
Thank you for this! Super cool video! A+++
Great video. Can I change the envelope size to 5×7?
Thank you for helping me print an envelope A+++++++
Thank you
This is helpful
Virtually no one demonstrates the actual placement of the envelope in the tray. My rear loading Canon printer pulls the envelope in crooked, pulls it in half way, pulls paper in from behind the envelope, or, if I take the paper out of the tray, I get prompt that the tray is empty. In spite of all the information given here and elsewhere, I still can't print an envelope.
Thank you!!! ♡
Thank you very much for posting😊
Thank you Adam.
No problem Yad, thanks for watching!
Easy & simple thanks 🙏🏼
Thank You.
Thank you sir
Thanks alot sir
Great tutorial!
Thank You!
Helpful
Thank you so much!
The return address isn't a mandatory field, is it? It's certainly not the custom in the UK to include it on the front of the envelope. Presumably that can be skipped?
Hi Karpizan,
If it is not customary in the UK to add the return address, you can skip it. You should still be able to print the envelop without a problem. Thank you for watching.
Is there a way to print on one side sideways? Instead of wording being horizontal to envelope, making it vertical writing on one side.
Absolutely wonderful !!
I don't have a "mailings" tab, I have no idea what version word this is. I am working remote from home and this is my office's version of word, I thought it was the latest version of word or at least I assumed it is. I am working on chrome, I don't know if that matters or not.
Hi Theresa,
Yeah, you're using 'Office Online' since you're on the Chrome browser. It's a very watered down version of Word. It doesn't have the Mailings tab because it is not the full version. You'll need to use the full version of Word to do what I described in this video.
@@ProfessorAdamMorgan Thank you for your help!
No problem!
thanks buddy
thanks
You're welcome!
Hi Professor I would like to create a mail merge with envelopes, but I don't see the size A9 envelope that I want to use, also I want to use a particular font and color for this mail merge can you help me. Thanks
Hi Joe,
Okay, for the size of the envelope, you may need to click the drop-down list, then choose custom size and type in the inches for the height and width. Once you do that, you can then adjust the font and color by clicking the Font button within the Envelope Options dialog box. Both of these options can be changed by clicking the following steps.
1. Click the Mailings Tab
2. Click Envelopes in the Create Group
3. Click Options in the bottom right area of the dialog box
4. Change your size and font options
Once you do those steps, you should be all set. I hope this helps, thanks for watching and for the comment.
he said his name and my Echo Studio popped a sound :)
Brilliant!
Thanks Joanna, I appreciate you watching.
Hi. When I print the envelope it only prints out the first line of the address. How do I fix this?
do you need the premium version of word to do this?
I can't find mailing, must be premium but no one answers yet.
Same issue here. They got the free cheap version Word. But it's missing the Mailings Tab! Ugh, it's all pay pay pay😆
hi i placed the envelope selecting 1 to print but it came out blank so i print all and envelope with print and blank paper came out all i need is the envelope how do i do just for envelopes thx
i don't have "mailings" tab on my word document How and what Microsoft word do I get for my HP Notebook windows 10? please help. But for FREE though. Not needing to pay 🤨
Hi, how can I print large envelopes to send job application?
How do I print envelopes from a list of members while keeping the same return address?
is it possible to add a picture copied from Google?
My printer is printing my A10 envelopes with the mailing address to far to the center. not on the outside corner. can't seam to find a fix.
Hi George,
This could be a printer issue. Not sure if you have another printer available, but if you can try using a different one, I think it would work.
Geo - You have to go into your word settings "Page Layout" and choose "Size", then "envelope". In my case I chose Envelope Com 10. Also, in the "Page Layout" under "Margins" I went to the bottom where it says "Custom Margins..." and in the boxes I have - Top: 0.25", Bottom: 0.5", Left: .4", Right: 0.5".
The best 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thanks for watching, Yoli!
No when I push print it asks “The number must be between 1 and 31” ?
how old were you when you found out you can do this?
Mine prints it off alignment, I checked all the settings already.
I have left window envelopes?
❤️
❤❤
What you don't have mailing or create on word
How about Mac?
I don't have a "mailings" tab,?
The same with me, where is Mailings?
How to move max right side of envelope receiver address
Hi Thirumaran,
When in the Envelopes and Labels dialog box, click the Preview of the Envelope (Envelope Icon/Picture) and it'll open the Envelope Options dialog box. From there, adjust the From Left: section Up until it is on the far right side of the Preview. I hope this helps, thanks for watching!
@@ProfessorAdamMorgan thank you for considering my question..
I try that....but if print result looks in middle.not complete right. Cannot move max right.
Any way thank you
It should print exactly how it looks in the preview. I am not exactly sure why it is not working for you. Try printing it to PDF (or converting to PDF) then printing the PDF. That should fix the problem.
@@ProfessorAdamMorgan oh I'll try ... thank you
If u see preview receiver add in the middle..I think this address style international formats
How about on a big yellow envelope?
E t - I would think it depends on the size. Will it fit in your printer? What size is it? If you measure it, you should be able to find the size in the printer options and go from there.
This does NOT work. All I get is a blank page.
Hi bluenetmarketing,
I'm not sure what the problem is here. Double check to see if your printer has ink. I'm not too sure what else the problem could be.
@@ProfessorAdamMorgan Now, come on. My printer has ink. I don't know what's wrong either, but thanks for your videos and for replying.
I figured as much. You might want to try using a different computer and printer. Hard to know if it's a problem with your Word or printer at this point.
Yeah, the 'pretend' part is where all the problems happen btw
My envelopes keep printing blanks??
try it on microsoft publisher. i couldn´t do it on word because of the envelope size
FUCK IT I GIVE UP, ima just hand write it!!
unmm, No, this video is NOT so clear. Such as, what Microsoft Word version is this dude using? Because the free one, is el cheapo that DON'T have the "Mailings Tab". So go back a couple steps on telling us which version of Word are you using AND HOW TO DOWNLOAD it. More details dude. But if you gotta pay to use this feature, Ehh I'll pass. My gosh😆
Why you always lying'
I just tried this but it want me to pay for a subscription I see. I liked the video tho it was very helpful.
Thank you
Thank you very much!
No problem Janette, thanks for watching!
