Depending on your SPSS version, check if the R Essentials are already installed and only need to be activated. Or maybe SPSS requires an additional manual installation of R.
The explanation here targets SPSS 23. I think starting from SPSS 26 it does no longer require an additional installation but after an installation of R you can directly activate the respective commands in SPSS.

I tried to install r essentials for spss 21 version. First i installed compatible version of r and then r essentials but when i go in the tab of utilities in spss i couldn't find download and install extension bundles

To my knowledge starting with SPSS 25 the extension are preinstalled and only require an activation and maybe a manual installation of R.

If you installed (if required, depending on your version of SPSS) the R Essentials, you can use most R commands in the SPSS syntax.

In SPSS 27 they are already part of SPSS and the respective functions only need to be activated.
