I’m a year ahead of you and have to agree after watching this performance, though this song came out after the worst breakup I ever had. Guess that’s why it hits me so much.😢
Every time I hear this song, I get chills. Such an amazing performance. Doesn't get any better. I am 79, and I may be old, but I got to hear the best bands in my lifetime.
September 1989, we just started our senior year. I was recovering from a bad motorcycle accident and we lost our classmate in car accident. He was a twin so his brother was devastated with all of us. This was our class anthem and it all brought us closer as a class. I used my settlement money to buy kegs of beer and we all left school and went to the mountains to party and be with each other. Rest in Peace Tracy Class of 1989
On this Thanksgiving Day in 2024, I’m thankful to be able to listen to this man’s amazing voice anytime, anywhere!! I will forever hold a flame inside my soul for the musical talent of Cheap Trick and the countless number of bands that have produced the best music EVER and has helped me through some of my darkest days and best years of my life with so many more good years to come!! Happy Thanksgiving to anyone listening in November 2024!!

A very Happy 69th Birthday Robin Wayne Zander. Born in Beloit, Wisconsin January 23, 1953. Cheap Trick Fans are some of the most loyal fans ever. Many, many more Robin Wayne..
Early to mid 80s she left me behind, her being the first of course. She went to a southern state and I found myself checking weather reports for that area; "is the sun shining on her?". I'm retired now and my feelings for her have never changed no matter the time and tide. Not so long ago my son said he had met her. When I asked him to point the way he said "No, keep what you've held on to all this time and still have in your soul". I cant recall the look in eyes ever being so sincere.
It was just a pity the tour was cancelled as I was looking forward to seeing them in Belfast along with journey hopefully they will get a chance to come
What an absolutely stunning performance. Robin really sings his heart out on this one, you can really feel it. He also nails that high note in the end, like it was nothing. So awesome to watch him sing this song when it was brand new. You could tell by the stunned crowd. Cheap Trick are STILL Rockin it!
